I love Better Life Massage!…read more It seems like forever since the last time I had a massage, over 10 years ago. I'm pretty busted up and I've been wondering if massage might help me out. I tried out BLM first since they're the closest to my home. (Of course, I checked out Yelp reviews and the web page first.) Wow, they blew me away! I'm definitely fortunate to find such a great place so close to my house. There are many therapy options at Better Life but I've been choosing hour long deep tissue massages. I've experienced this style before. But Angel does a particularly fantastic job. She kicks my ass...in a great way. And she does it with an awesome, interesting, highly effective, Asian, Mandarin style twist! (I should have taken the hint when I saw the giant Asian medical charts hanging in the lobby!) Mandarin Style (my term) includes locating and working out all hard clumps of stiff muscle, interesting stretches, hot oil, and hot stones! I am so relaxed when I leave, I wobble down the hallway like a drunk person. The first time, they asked if I was okay and if I needed help. No kidding. I also have to drink water. And I usually have to sit in my car for several minutes to make sure I'm okay to drive home. Best of all, I had amazing results the VERY NEXT DAY. For the first time in years, I can now stand on one leg and lift the opposite foot more than 12 inches above the ground. In fact, now I can lift my knees all the way above parallel. Amazing. My cousin visited from out-of-town and I treated him to an hour long massage at Better Life. He never had a massage before in his life. But I knew he was in need. He owns an HVAC company and he has spent his whole life going up and down ladders and on his feet all day...for over 30 years. I would say, without exaggerating, the massage was a life changing experience for him. I'm not kidding. He actually canceled his chiropractic appointment and he found a massage therapist in Williston, ND (the oil fields). A few other final notes... The staff are fantastically skilled and impeccably polite. There's a small basket on the table in the lobby full of "thank you" cards that are quite touching. Finally, the prices are super reasonable, they're open 7 days a week, and the schedules are very flexible. They even do walk-ins. Thank you, SO MUCH, Better Life Massage!

I wanted to leave this place a review for people like me looking for a good last minute massage…read more I am from Los Angeles and have had a handful of massages in my life. This place is clean and simple (in a good way). They were able to accommodate my time which was 10 minutes after i called. I only saw 1 staff member while I was there and she is the one who gave me my massage. I got a 1 hr full body massage and I like light to medium pressure and that is what I got without having to ask. She did ask if the pressure was okay, which is always appreciated. When it was time for the hot stones, they were very hot in the beginning and she made sure to ask if the temperature was okay and when I told her no, she immediately removed them and let them cool down to get to a perfect temp before bringing them back into the massage. I would have rated a 5 star, however, they have a $5 off coupon on yelp for new customers which I wanted to take advantage of, but when I got there I was told they stopped that a year ago. (I suggested they remove it from the yelp site ‍). The other thing that made me not give 5 stars was during my massage, she left the room suddenly (I'm not sure if it was to help other customers or to grab something because it was just a little longer then expected and I heard her talking to customers). I just felt slightly awkward not knowing what was going on. Usually the massage therapist let's me know wheb they need to leave the room to grab something. She left the room 1 more time, but that time I'm pretty sure it was to grab something because it was rather quick. Overall this place deserves a 4.5 star rating and if I'm ever back in town I would definitely come back here again.

I went to the location and waited at the front desk for someone. No one showed up. I tried another massage place but they were okay. I decided to book an appointment here since the reviews were great. (You can only book appointments online and it's been about a 1 month wait.) So glad I did. I've had a couple now with 2 different masseuses and they've been perfect. I really felt like my body got exactly what it needed. I just felt more grounded, balanced and refreshed after. I filled out the problem area form online but they didn't seem to know what I wanted done.. so that was a little waste of time but I didn't mind repeating myself. They have Lifesaver mints and a couple different drinks to choose from after the massage. I will continue to return and recommend this business. They are great if you have medical areas the need attention.

I want to be completely honest about my experience here. As a massage therapist myself, I recently…read moremoved to the area and have been trying different massage places to see what they're like and share honest reviews. Unfortunately, my overall experience here was disappointing. When I called to schedule my Groupon appointment, I believe the gentleman who answered the phone was named Edwin. I found the interaction to be unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. He expressed frustration about the amount the business receives from Groupon, but as a customer, that really isn't something I should have to deal with. I was simply calling to schedule a service I had purchased. The massage therapist herself was very nice and did a good job. The massage felt good, and I want to make that clear because my concerns are not directed toward her. However, I was surprised that there was no intake form and that I wasn't asked any questions about what type of massage I wanted, areas of concern, injuries, allergies, or sensitivities before the massage. As a client, especially when you're going to be undressed for a massage and products such as lotions or oils are being used, I feel those basic questions are important for comfort and safety. I also felt rushed when I arrived and didn't feel like much was explained to me as a first-time client. Personally, I want to feel comfortable, informed, and safe before getting on the table, and I didn't really get that experience here. There was also an issue with the length of my appointment. I had purchased a 90-minute massage through Groupon, but the massage initially ended after about 60 minutes. I had to ask why I had only received 60 minutes when I had paid for 90. They did end up providing the additional 30 minutes, which I appreciated, but I shouldn't have had to catch the mistake myself. Overall, while the massage therapist was kind and provided a good massage, the customer service, lack of intake process, rushed experience, and confusion regarding the appointment length left me dissatisfied. Based on my experience, I personally would not return.
