I want to be completely honest about my experience here. As a massage therapist myself, I recently moved to the area and have been trying different massage places to see what they're like and share honest reviews. Unfortunately, my overall experience here was disappointing. When I called to schedule my Groupon appointment, I believe the gentleman who answered the phone was named Edwin. I found the interaction to be unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. He expressed frustration about the amount the business receives from Groupon, but as a customer, that really isn't something I should have to deal with. I was simply calling to schedule a service I had purchased. The massage therapist herself was very nice and did a good job. The massage felt good, and I want to make that clear because my concerns are not directed toward her. However, I was surprised that there was no intake form and that I wasn't asked any questions about what type of massage I wanted, areas of concern, injuries, allergies, or sensitivities before the massage. As a client, especially when you're going to be undressed for a massage and products such as lotions or oils are being used, I feel those basic questions are important for comfort and safety. I also felt rushed when I arrived and didn't feel like much was explained to me as a first-time client. Personally, I want to feel comfortable, informed, and safe before getting on the table, and I didn't really get that experience here. There was also an issue with the length of my appointment. I had purchased a 90-minute massage through Groupon, but the massage initially ended after about 60 minutes. I had to ask why I had only received 60 minutes when I had paid for 90. They did end up providing the additional 30 minutes, which I appreciated, but I shouldn't have had to catch the mistake myself. Overall, while the massage therapist was kind and provided a good massage, the customer service, lack of intake process, rushed experience, and confusion regarding the appointment length left me dissatisfied. I have been here a few times but do not believe I have ever yelped them. And I see they are under new ownership so a good time to leave a great review. My fiancé and I bought a 60 minute relaxation massage and used it today and I added a $10.00 foot paraffin wax treatment. The place is very clean and staff are very friendly and professional! Can't say enough good about them. And we left like marshmallows. My fiancé said it was the best massage he has ever had. My person was very receptive and wanting to make sure the pressure was perfect for me. All the warm towels they used was so comforting too. No stars. We wanted to live this place. I booked my husband a massage for father's day. They do not answer phone calls or emails, so I booked online. This requires a $50 hold. I was shown the balance due on the receipt. When my husband went to settle the bill they overcharged us $97. I went to the spa to get my refund; the owner was not present and the lady (who was very nice but did not speak English) called the owner who screamed at me and insulted me. He never showed up. I have contacted authorities to file a report and notified my bank for fraud. This is so disappointing and I wish the outcome would have been better. I just don't feel they are able to run this business efficiently. read more

they messed up scheduling I drove 30 mins and they where closed and had to call to figure out what happened. they messed up all they offered was to get me in tomorrow, after driving 30 mins I said no thanks and asked for my deposit that I got charged when booking and I got off the phone and called other places. I found a great place down the street that fit me in and will have my business forever. now and zen makes elm aromatherapy look like a dumpster fire. elm didn't value me as a person or a custome. read more

The first time I went I felt like the woman felt like I couldn't afford anything more and pushed me into a cheaper option...even though I wanted an hour massage. Thought I would give it another shot since these are so popular on the east coast and I enjoy them. No one is available to greet you when you come in (I had to call the phone number and repeatedly yell down the hall). The place has been completely empty twice but they seem like it's an inconvenience whenever you're requesting a service. I will not be back. The place looks very nice inside though. I hope something else comes along that's similar. 2 stars for the aesthetic. read more

Amazing massage therapist - Lee - who was able to read my muscles and adjust her technique and pressure based on my needs. She was running late on a Vikings Sunday, but worth the wait. It was minimally painful at times but relieving. She was able to find knots in my neck and tender spots on my lower back. Very pleased & impressed with her ability to read my needs through her fingers. read more

I went with a promo coupon but they would not honor it but they only tell you after they have started the service. So you have no choice but to continue or leave half way. Also they exchange names conveniently and even though I had an appointment with one person another showed up and I completed the service. This happened twice. You also end up paying $20-25 more for technology fee and other services which is not disclosed before. read more

I have never been so humiliated in my life. This was by far one of my worst experiences. First, my husband and I waited in our massage room for 15 minutes before anyone came in to start the session. Then, while I was paying, before I could even swipe my card, the woman at the front desk started yelling, "Tip! Tip! Tip!" Unbelievable. I told her I had cash and that I always tip in cash. She then insisted that I tip 25% PER person and refused to give me my change back. I was literally bullied into not getting my cash back. Tipping is NOT mandatory, and the audacity to try to force someone to tip is unacceptable. I am a very generous tipper. I always leave 20%, whether the service is great or mediocre. But trying to demand 25% is tacky and completely unprofessional. I will NOT be returning to this place. I hope management is paying their staff fairly, and that employees are not depending solely on tips especially given that I've now seen other reviews mentioning being yelled at or pressured to tip. SMH. I will also be reporting this to the BBB. Because yes, y'all stole from me. read more

Best spa I have been to in the Minneapolis area! Such an amazing experience. It is very clean, the team is very kind, and feels super peaceful as soon as you walk in. The group room is so nice and can fit up to 4-6 people. Perfect for a girls day! :) read more
