I recently interviewed six roofers and GCs for a roof replacement job that needed immediate attention because of my insurance company. (Avoid Homesite Insurance if you can.) Sam was one of the quickest to respond and was very communicative. He was also easy to talk to and ask questions. When I had questions about a particular product, he chased down the answer with suppliers. He came in about 10% cheaper than the next cheapest bid. read more

We researched multiple roofing companies, interviewed four of them. When we met with Sam, we appreciated his honesty and his transparency throughout the project. His crew worked efficiently and at the end of each day, they did a proper clean up. The job was quoted to take 3-4 weeks pending the inspection and materials, they completed the job in 2-1/2. The team he had on site was friendly and the quality of work outstanding, Thank you Sam for doing what you say. We wish you the best, Eric & Tara read more

I am very happy and impressed with Denali Builders. I needed to replace my old roof where a 7 KW old solar system had been installed. With the newer solar technology where a 210 W solar panel 15 years ago now produces 420 W. I decided to upgrade my solar system as well. I contacted several roofing and solar companies. My selection criteria was based on quality of work, price, and time frame. I wanted the project to finish as fast as it can with the uncertain weather conditions. Sam's estimate was the most detailed, price very well competitive and promised a quick turnaround. Sam is also super communicative. Based on 5.0 Google reviews, I decided to go with Denali. Once demo work began, I was overly impressed with his team, highly professional, efficient with the time, work to details and super cleanliness. Once re-roofing completed, the inspector came and walked around the job site, I asked him how the inspection went. He said they did a good job, then signed the paper and left with no further action. I found that's the best compliment to a job very well done. The solar installation team, led by Rudy ( in pic) again was the best I met. Fast, strong, efficient and very friendly. I highly recommend Denali for any roofing and solar work. 5 stars all around , I wish I could give a 6 stars read more

Great Company. Very knowledgeable and fair. Ask for Sam. He is very helpful and won't suggest any work that doesn't need to be done. They are also very prompt. Over all a great experience. read more

Denali Builders did an excellent job re-roofing my house and garage. The house was shingled and the garage is a flat top, which required a torch-down roof. The end result for both was fantastic and the price was great when compared to other quotes received. My only criticism is the demo crew caused some damage that could have easily been avoided. Sam rectified it but moving forward I would be more explicit on what needs to be protected. Overall a great job and I would recommend them. read more

Huge shout out to Sam and Denali Builders! I had used another roofing company earlier in the year. Needless to say, during the non stop rain of 2023, it was very apparent the "fix" they dod wasn't good enough as I was still dealing with leaks inside my house which created a ton of damage. Enter Sam and Denali Builders. I knew right away that he knew what he was talking about. He used my hose, sprayed water on my roof and discovered the leak was coming from a completely different area than the previous company said. The hose technique for me was all I needed to know that I was in good hands with Sam. His prices were fair, he was supper communicative, always answered texts, and got the job done in no time! I'm definitely keeping Denali Builders in my contacts for future projects! read more

The December rain really brought us needed water but also trouble with our 30+ year young roof. We find three different leak in our home and getting worst as the rain season continued. I requested three different companies to compare service and cost. The cost came out very close but service and knowledge of how explained the provided service. Service begin as soon as rain stopped. There was a few days of dry and started rain again. The re-roof was done half way. The leak stop as part of roof work done. A aerial video was provide as work progress. Within another week, the roof work finished and without surprised, everything completed with our new gutter installed. Job well done. read more

My new roof was an easy experience that had caused much grief. My roof leaked with the last big rain and I called 3 companies for an estimate. Denaili Builders was the least cost, that provided more products than the other 2 quotes. Sam was great to work with, from beginning to end. He replaced weathered/missing boards and tiles without additional cost. The clean-up (approved by me) was great. And the project was done in no time. I especially liked that I didn't have to work with the City for the permit; Sam handled everything. I would use them again! read more

Denali worked hard in adverse circumstances to get the project (a complete reroof) completed on time and with an eye on quality. From the first visit for an estimate to the final city inspection, it took less than two weeks, and the pricing was comparable to the other estimates I received with the same quality workmanship and materials. read more

My experiences with Sam has been nothing short of excellent. During our first meeting, Sam was able to provide great details and costs related to proposed projects, with no BS. He establishes a level of trust and professionalism with the customer that I do not see very often. He is able to answer questions, give advice and make recommendations, HONESTLY! Sam makes himself available during his busy schedule. It is a rare trait in customer service and it had an impact with our interactions. From the first project to the last, he is in constant communication via phone calls, texts, voice memos and pictures. During the course of my busy day, these updates were essential that work was being done correctly and promptly. He personally drives on site during the project to oversee it and check-in. This is the very definition of above and beyond workmanship, and excellent customer service. Again, it is much appreciated! We had to have our roof replaced after heavy rains and strong winds. It was not a fun experience calling around to get work estimates from different companies. Until I met Nikki Cho from Denali Builders. She took the time to explain exactly what would be involved in the process and what I could expect each step of the way, in a language that someone like me, who had never gone through a reroofing process, could easily understand. She presented the work value I could perceive and built a trust that usually was hard to establish from the get go. I'm glad I chose Denali. Their work is timely and reliable. The process was smooth and hassle free. I would recommend the company and especially Nikki to anyone who needs a roof repair/replacement. read more

Wow. What a joke. I called to see if they do roof repairs and to get an estimate and the response the lady on the phone gave me was "we don't do jobs for less than $5000, so if you're okay with that. I don't want to waste your time out or time." If you don't want a roof repair job then you shouldn't advertise that you do roofing jobs or give free estimates. And also put out ads that offer 25% "any complete roofing projects" whatever you justify as complete projects. The person didn't even spend time to figure out what the job would entail before backing out of it. I do not recommend a place that has set minimum payment jobs set. How utterly underwhelming and disappointing. I guess they're too good and busy for a mom and pop owned apartment complex roofing needs. Corporate requests only folks read more

After receiving three quotes for replacing my roof I selected Denali Builders as their quote was in line with the others. I am currently looking into doing a roof repair and other updates to my home. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam from Denali Builders CA. He inspected my roof and the places around my house that I needed repairing. Sam kept it real through the whole process, and you don't usually see an owner of a company come to see the jobs. It is usually salespeople. This part was refreshing. He provided me with a reasonable price right on the spot. Plus, Sam was willing to work with me financially. The supplies Denali Builders CA would be using would be of high quality. I did like how Denali Builders CA would provide me a deal on the wood. This part is huge, essentially due to the current supply deficit and unstable price of lumber. I had revealed with Sam that my biggest worry would be that the price would change while my roof was being worked on due to these lumber shortages. Sam assured me that would not occur. This guarantee, especially from the Owner, put me at peace. I look forward to working with Denali Builders CA. read more

My experience with Sam was that he overbid the job. There was a leak... and more rain was coming so perhaps he thought I was vulnerable and naive. So I got additional bids for an entire re-roofing - not the partial job Sam said was needed for $12,900. What I learned through my own due diligence was that had I gone with Sam my roof wouldn't have been under warranty because it was a partial job. When Sam called me to warn me that it was going to rain and that I needed to schedule the job I told him about the other bids and that they were thousands less for a total job - including the Spanish tiles he told me were labor intensive and very costly to do. He scoffed. I told him I had to go and got off before I had to hear anything else. I wrote my Yelp review to advise people to get multiple bids. But then this happened... A month after I had Sam out to look at my roof a woman called to ask what happened with their employee. I said "Sam isn't an employee, he owns the company"... to which she replied "yes." Honestly, I think it was his wife but she never said. When I told her what my experience was she asked whether or not the other bids I got were from legitimate roofing companies. They were... written bids from very reputable roofing companies that were detailed - and far more reasonable. She then began to challenge what was said between Sam and me even though she wasn't there. At this point, I asked her what it was she wanted because it clearly wasn't to hear my experience. I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior... honestly, makes me grateful I got additional bids. read more

Sam came out for the estimate appointment. He was responsive and followed through. He provided an estimate fairly quickly and called to explain the cost, etc. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge. I stumbled upon Denali when my efforts to book an appointment with several of their competitors failed multiple times! I called Denali because they have high reviews, and Sam came over to my condo the very next day to provide an estimate, which my wife and I felt was reasonable. Then the workers came over to review the project, and the rest is history. They showed up on time every day, and 4 days later, our hallway looks incredible! My wife and I went from having a poorly-framed grid and the cheapest drop-tile ceiling you can find at Home Depot to something we can be really proud of. If I knew of Denali 5 years ago, I would have hired them for some other home renovation projects that weren't done nearly as well. I would definitely hire them again in the future. read more
