Welcome to Montana as you've cross over from Idaho on I-90. We're at 4000 feet above sea level here and in mid-April, there was packed snow throughout as well as snow in the parking lot. A certain Yelper you might know only had tshirts and a hoodie so he did not spend a lot of time outside. A quick run to the (heated!) rest room and then back into the van.
The restrooms are clean and there are vending machines. Getting back onto the highway was okay. They have a long acceleration ramp which is helpful as there is some incline here. There is also a corresponding rest area on the other side of the highway for westbound traffic.
This is a beautiful part of the country and the highway parallels the Saint Regis River as well as the Northern Pacific Trail. If it's not cold, spend some time enjoying the scenery.
