The outdoor bar has WAY faster service than the inside bar, just an FYI. Price - Affordable, especially for the Bay Area. Just left South Lake Tahoe and paid $9 - $10 + tip a beer there, but you know that because you are following. Owner Comment - Congrats to the building since 1919. We had the dogs so we had to sit outside (dogs are not allowed inside the venue) and it was packed but we managed to share a table with a single person. Dogs loved it. We had some great beers. Area is also great because of the distance of the three breweries right there. I put Bay Area or even Northern California breweries up against any region in the US. I firmly believe we have the best breweries quality-wise of anywhere. They had the flea market going while we were here which was kind of funny to me because most of the sellers had the same thing but it's nice to have and this is a perfect place for it. Parking was kind of crowded but that's to be expected with a popular place like this. Definitely one of the best physical breweries to go to in the Bay Area and great beer here.

It was a windy night, but people were still here to enjoy the environment, the heaters were on, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We sat at that patio next to the fires and ordered a few beers from their long list. We also grabbed a pizza, as I had not had one in a while, and the chicken Tikka Masala Pizza looked good. I enjoyed my IPA while she enjoyed her Lager, and when the pizza came out, it looked fabulous. We dug into and both agreed it was amazing. My partner went with a Schwarzbier, which was smooth and well balanced. I had the Solar Offering hard seltzer, which was crisp and refreshing and a nice change of pace. The space has a strong punk rock vibe with skeleton and demon artwork throughout. It gives the brewery a distinct personality and definitely stands out compared to more traditional brewery spaces. The staff were friendly and service was easygoing. It felt like a place people regularly hang out rather than just a quick stop. We would absolutely come back the next time we are in Oakland.

They do have some food offerings as well. Always greeted with friendly service. I love that they collaborate and have lots of events going on. That's how I heard about their annual chili cook-off! I got ticketed there once since the red on the curb was faded and discovered after the fact that there was a fire hydrant hidden behind the tree. I've actually walked past this building before, back when Horn Bbq was next door, but not sure if they were able to open during the same time, as Horn had to move out a few years back. Very industrial vibe here, both outside and inside. For some reason most people were congregated indoors, and nobody was on their patio. The brewery equipment is visible but is blocked off. They do very little inside that warehouse-y space to decorate or give it their stamp. Totally just looks like a warehouse, whereas other breweries with a same type of industrial space like Drake's and Ghost Town have stamped their look and image. I tried a sampler here 4 brews and think they are about $2.50 per 5 oz glass, which is a generous gesture. Of the 4, I really liked 3 of them, and one was kinda weird to me. But good success ratio. I loved their Amber which had a great roasty malt character and hopped in a balanced manner. Tried 2 of their IPAs and one was a winner, that I got a pint of it to go with my pizza from next door.
