Garlic Knots. You get one with meal but just ask they'll bring you more.

The food was fantastic! Most delicious Veal Francese I have had in a long long time. Generous portion of Veal, very tender and the sauce was exploding with lemony goodness. Served over a huge bed of fettuccine. My husband chose the same dish and we were both very satisfied. This is a casual restaurant, not fine dining as far as ambiance, but comfortable and pleasant inside. Table seating. There is a small bar you can sit at too. Service was very attentive and we were checked on frequently by an owner. Sorry I did not catch his name. I was over the moon to see Limoncello cake on the dessert menu. I took a slice home and my husband took home a cannolo. Both were excellent. So glad we finally made it here and I highly recommend this restaurant for your Italian food fix.

Stopped for lunch. My bowl of pasta fajoili soup was excellent. My lasagna was also good. You could taste the garlic slightly too. My only recommendation is serve the soup with a soup spoon not a tea spoon.

    Time for great food!

Nice relaxing place to eat. I love the peaceful music they have playing. The have 11 tables and one big tables to sit down at and enjoy your food. Some tables are 4 person while others are 6 person tables. They have a nice bar as well. I had to try this place. I always heard great reviews on the food. The waiter was nice and got my drink quick and asked if I had any questions concerning menu before I ordered. I got the lasagna! The lasagna was hot and delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

This place rules. The food was so delicious and portions were generous. We ordered cheese ravioli, baked ziti, and cannoli. I would definitely go out of my way to go here and hopefully will get the chance to return sometime. Highly recommend any of the things we ordered. Service was quick and friendly but we went when it wasn't very busy. I would have loved to be in, like, a candlelit grotto while enjoying this meal, but for a small town in the middle of Ohio, the vibe was immaculate.

So good. I'm concerned because this place is always empty. I need them to be successful. I'm nuts about meatball/sausage appetizer. The sauce is addictive. The pastas are all decent too. Friendly service.

The pasta was cooked to perfection. I had fettuccine Alfredo and was possibly the best I've ever had.

Took about 5 mins for someone to come to our table upon seating. She brought waters and we asked for a soda. The soda did not come for another 20 minutes (after we asked/reminded). Waitress also mentioned she was bringing bread to the table, which took another 10 minutes. Portion sizes are drastically smaller than they used to be. Peasant salad was extremely small and had huge pieces of the butt of the lettuce head. The pasta pictured is $22, and the dish was the size of my hand - also only had 3 strips of chicken breast. We alerted the waitress that 2 pepper shakers we tried to use seemed to be out of pepper, but we weren't offered a different shaker. We saw others being offered fresh cracked pepper for their salads, but we were not offered that option. Ambience was fine, but we were seated in a corner table out on the "covered patio" area of the restaurant, and we did not get much attention. Overall, disappointing experience from a service and quality/portion perspective.

Quickly served what should have been a nice half loaf of airy Italian bread. Please see pic in manhandled squashed bread. Not exactly appealing or appetizing with the hand and thumbprint left in the loaf. Entrees were served in a reasonable time. Shrimp Spaghetti was fine. Nothing remarkable about it that would make me order it again. The chicken Marsala was quite disappointing. The only thing cooked well was the asparagus. Two small breasts were over grilled, easily happens to breasts 1/4" thick and they couldn't even come up with enough Marsala sauce to cover them?!? I guess 2 slices of mushroom in the sauce were generous. The cafeteria ice cream scoops of mashed potatoes were a nice touch. I had to actually laugh when my plate was set in front of me. What upscale restaurant serves mashed potatoes using a scoop? Cold dense and had a lumpy weird texture. Felt like they added cold mash to hot mash and tried mixing them together. The cafeteria quality food doesn't match the decor or cost of the entree. The deal is if you are charging an avg of $30 a plate in Dayton for Italian entrees you better up your game. Brio really doesn't. Hopefully new people continue to come here because I think repeat customers will be hard to come by. I can't say I have a convincing reason to return which is unfortunate because everything else is set up for success. But if your primary function is to deliver Italian dishes at a higher price point than the local competition your food has to be better and customers have a higher expectation for what we are paying for. In Brio you may find better elsewhere but you'll never pay more. Sorry Brio, one and done for us.
