Breathtakingly beautiful product but service that makes you wonder how they can possibly stay in business. Bought a front door from them. Told them we wanted what was depicted on the website. A nice distressed look for an old-school Spanish colonial home we are building. What showed up was like a commercial-grade door that looked nothing like what was on the website. When we asked them (nicely) to make changes so that it mirrored what was on the site, they told us it would cost more money. Total extortionists. And then they beat the crap out of the door, totally overdoing it on the distress as if to punish us. I'm warning you: These people are the worst. Not worth the trouble. Total Lack of Professionalism. I spent $7,000 here only for the owner to send two of his friends--not professional movers--to deliver my table. They didn't have a professional truck or the right equipment, and they ended up damaging the piece while trying to roll it into my house. To make matters worse, the owner was a complete jerk when confronted. He took zero responsibility for the damage and offered no compensation, essentially telling me to "send it back" if I wasn't happy. Save yourself the headache and go to a store that actually respects its customers and uses professional logistics. read more

Their doors are trash. Clearly not worth the money... I purchased one spent four grand five years later it started to rot. These doors can't even be exposed to any type of rain whatsoever and their outdoor doors OK. When I talk to them, they didn't seem to care. All they care about is the money... I made sure and tell him that I will make sure and expose it to the public. I've bought other doors from different places in Mexico three times cheaper and these doors are still exposed to all weather and are as solid as they can be. Product is absolutely gorgeous. I ordered mine on line because we live in Texas and it was too far to drive to see in person. When it arrived they sent photos and there were a few things that were not quite right so they re-made it. It's stunning and absolutely what we wanted. Yes, there were a few delays--but these are artisan pieces that are worth the wait. I would have given 5 stars but the communication was a bit sparce. All in all I would buy from them again because the pieces are just that great. read more

It's very sad I made a special trip to the store from the a bay Area just to see the furniture in person. I needed 6 doors and 2 bathroom vanities and was dealing with Alberto. I was emailing back and forth and he kept asking me for measurements which I gave him with even pictures and still at square one with nothing ordered at all. Worst customer service ever. I gave them 1 to many chances to do business with them. I even sent a complaint email and to only get Alberto again and end up at the same place. It's sad they run a business that hires employees that give two **** about making a sale. I had two other places I could of ordered from months ago but no I had to give this company a shot to be shot down. Don't bother going to the store or calling they won't help you. read more

The furniture is beautiful, the customer service is severely lacking. If you can, buy something they have in stock. Otherwise, you will be waiting for months and months with no idea as to when/if you will get your order. Eddy and DeMejico have no concept of customer service. Ignored phone calls and emails to just to get an idea as to the status of the order. I placed my order for furniture and mirror in May 2022. Finally received the furniture in November 2022 but as of January 2023, still no mirror and absolutely no communication from Eddy and/or DeMejico as to when/if I will receive it. Beautiful wood furniture here. The furniture is very sturdy and they have furniture for big dining rooms. The wait time is so long though. Not worth the wait. They keep extending the ETA dates. It's almost been 6 months since we've ordered our furniture. Mind you each time WE had to follow up on the status. Its aready 4 months over the original delivery date given to us. No one bothers to call you to update you on any delays. For the price you pay for this furniture, you'd think they offer great customer service. read more

We looked for an entertainment center for a long time and finally settled on Demejico. We called and discussed what we were looking for, it was a bit more than we were looking to spend but decided it was worth it. We drove 6-1/2 hours to talk to Robert and see the product first hand before spending $6,000. We loved the product and it's high quality. We talked details and Robert said he would give us a price in a few days. He did get us the price but it was a $1,000 more than we discussed earlier. When I asked him why, he told us things had changed in the last 2 days. He had gotten a big order and didn't want to deal with a single order like ours. He said it would be a problem and may get in the way of the order he received from some hotel chain. We were upset that he wouldn't honor our previous discussions. He didn't seem to care that we drove 6-1/2 hours each way to see the product in person. He actually told me he would rather not deal with us because he had gotten busy even after I reluctantly agreed to the price increase. I could appreciate this if he told us before we went through the time and expense to go see him. The bottom line for me is integrity. I do understand how when you get too busy you want more control - I get it but... He had given us a price that he wouldn't honor that suddenly went up $1,000. Then said he didn't want our business because he had gotten busy. I explained that a long delivery was not an issue for us but that didn't seem to matter. Not good business In closing.... If your the little guy don't bother, they don't want your business. That's the way it felt for me - good luck. read more

This place is amazing! Incredible hacienda furniture, decor and decrotive items! Once you enter you see the high quality craftsmanship if their pieces. Considering the high quality if the furniture the prices are very reasonable. These are pieces that anyone would live to own and show off in their home! While we did not purchase anything we will be back! Their we're so many great pieces it was really hard to walk out empty handed. read more

We went to the Valencia location. They have absolutely beautiful things. Had I reviewed them the day after we went there, they would have gotten 4 or 5 stars. I'd still recommend going there if you are only going to buy things that are there and that you can carry home. We bought somewhere around $15-20k of furniture from them. They shorted a guy on the delivery and told us they couldn't get one of the pieces upstairs (We had confirmed, in detail, that they could when we purchased because we were happy to have our usual moving guys pick up and deliver if they couldn't.) When we told the owner on the phone that we would not pay for delivery if they didn't follow through on what they had promised, he told his guys to do it. Poor guys had to lug a huge armoire upstairs short one guy. We also had trouble getting the stools we ordered. We were told they'd make them and deliver in 6-8 weeks. After about 10 we called and they thought they had already delivered them. Luckily, the nice delivery guy confirmed they had not. They told us it would be another 4 weeks or so. We were disappointed but it was a mistake so not a big deal. We didn't end up getting the stools for another 8 weeks or so and received no phone call to let us know they were running late. Again, their stuff is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I hate to write a negative review but I wish I'd known about these problems before purchasing. If you don't mind hassling them and dealing with delays and other unexpected problems, then go for it. They won't rip you off and you'll end up with very nice furniture. Otherwise, I'd suggest just buying what they have in stock and arranging your own delivery. read more

Unfortunately, for them is that all of their beautiful furniture does not count when they have a HORRIBLE, most UNPROFESSIONAL staff. After almost 19k in furniture I have spent with them it seems there is no obligation to meet my needs! I have made several calls to have them fix my furniture because the wood was cracking and since one of my night stand doors couldn't be fixed properly they had to take it back to their California store and now it's been weeks and weeks without any response or delivery of my door back from them. I am a very pissed off customer. I can't believe such of bad business practice is deliver to customers from these people. A++. Demejico Rocks! I've purchased quite a few pieces from Demejico and every item is beautiful and very high quality. Maria made the process easy and fun. She thoroughly answered all of my questions by email and text and provided photos and video of the items I was interested in. Some of the pieces were custom. Others were from their in-stock inventory. To those that say their furniture is expensive...You get what you pay for. The furniture I purchased was hand made, solid mesquite and has the details and character of a custom product. Don't confuse their product with cheap, veneered, soft-wood junk that's made to look good but not last. Demejico's furniture is made to last generations. Highly recommend! read more

Demejico made me beautiful alder wood and glass french doors that lead into my home office that is filled with a stunning custom Demejico floor to ceiling, built in library / desk unit. The quality of the alder wood and the beautiful Demejico stain, makes these pieces feel rich and remarkable. These items truly made a small room in my house GRAND! While they did struggle through covid, as most companies did, deliveries were delayed but I must say that promises were indeed kept. With the help of Courtney Ludwig, Demejico's Office Manager, my many projects with them have been able to stay on track. She is a communicates open and honestly, and is simply a God Send! In addition, Demejico's Eddy Luna is an artist with wonderful suggestions that you can kick around ideas with to come up with the perfect masterpiece for your space. I would say that if you want a top quality product and you have ample time in your schedule, keep lots of notes and take pictures, and be patient, as Demejico has proven to definitely be worth the wait. read more

This is an amazing business. The showroom is beyond belief, and we'll worth the drive to see it. Finding quality furniture these days is not easy, and then having them be works of art is harder. However, DeMejico does it better than anyone. I have been admiring their furniture for years, but it was just last May that I took the plunge. Maria assisted me throughout the process, and my order was beyond what I imagined. From ordering to delivery, it was a pleasant process. I've been interested in Mexican and Spanish Colonial furniture and furnishings for over 30 years. I have seen many pieces in many different places. Demejico's quality is as good as I've seen. I found the staff very helpful and have had no problems with service at all. It is not inexpensive, but, considering the quality, the pricing is fair. They communicated with me through the process and it was terrific such a big project was done with such ease. They will build all my restaurant tables from now on. I have never experienced such poor service and horrible quality. We ordered outdoor lights which arrived months after delivery promise. We purchased wrought iron, we received spray painted tin. Even the mounting plates had to be replaced. Took Demejico months to make the correction. Now, 7 months after being installed, one of the lights is already broken and they want to charge me for the electrical repair. No warranty on their custom lights apparently. Beautiful handmade Spanish/rustic furniture! The owner, Eduardo, is very nice and helpful. If he doesn't have something you are envisioning in the store, he will make it for you. If there is a piece that you want but would like different details, he will change it. He updated the furniture we wanted and had it delivered to our house in a couple of days. I strongly recommend not buying furniture from Demejico. When I reported an issue to them on a piece they delivered to my house the person I dealt with first said there was not issue and they would not help and cussed me out. Then admitted there was an issue and offered to fix it if I shipped it to them at my expense. After I told him I was no longer going to communicate with him and report him to Visa, which I did, he said he'd pick up the piece and fix it. I chose not to respond. There are other furniture companies and I recommend you shop elsewhere. read more

I needed only one chair with a foot rest to fit the smallish space next to my family room fireplace. Demejico treated me as well as if I had ordered one hundred chairs. The Silla Chapital chair with arms was perfectly sized for my space. Demejico custom made a foot rest to my specifications that matches the Silla Chapital chair exactly. The workmanship and quality can't be beat. Custom furniture takes time to make, but the schedule was made clear to me when I ordred my chair and foot rest. Delivery to my house went without a hitch. I ordered a custom pantry door, similar to one seen on the Demejico website. I live in Dallas, TX, so all communication had to be done via phone, and email. Every aspect of the process was flawless. They did a great job of keeping me informed of the status as it was being built, and sent me a picture to make sure it met my expectation before it was shipped. When it arrived, it was beautiful. I don't write reviews often but their amazing customer service plus the beauty of the door they made for me made me write. I was overseas so had to do everything over Skype and email but even on the internet, I could see their stuff was high quality. When I finally returned to the US and got to see the door, I was happy to see that it was as great as I had hoped (and I am picky!). But, what really bowled me over was how nice everyone was along the way, 1) going to the trouble to take photos of doors on sale around the warehouse and email them to me because I wanted to see if I might like one of those. 2) As my contractors were installing it we realized I had okayed the wrong door swing! But, Demejico has agreed to drive out to my house site and patch and paint for free, the holes that will be left from changing the hinges. WOW!!! This is a great company! read more

I hesitated to write a review but after all the wasted time and added expense we incurred, I felt I didn't want others to go through the same experience we went through. My husband and I went to the showroom in March 2017 after seeing beautiful custom doors online. We ordered a front door in March and also double wine cabinet doors the following month and even bought ceramics and other items at the Fiesta sale in May that they were holding for us and was to deliver all items with the doors. I would say we were heavily invested in Demejico and were promised the doors in 2 months. We were very clear about the details too with staining etc. Well 2 months became 6 months and it was very difficult getting a call back and we were told many lies and promises from the manager. The doors are made in Mexico and the staining done on their premises in Valencia. Bigger orders took precedence and finally when they got to our order, the color of the stain was all wrong and didn't come near the door we chose on their showroom floor. It looked painted after 3 attempts and they had to start again. Well it was becoming a nightmare and I had no confidence in the front door fitting with the jam they designed. We had given them over $4000 at this time and the day of delivery I was asked to pay for the order in full (over $3K more ) but we wanted to hold off on the front door balance until their installer put the door in first. A confident establishment would have no problem with this but Robert the manager refused and said I must pay for it before and his solution the day of delivery was to give us back our money less the cost of the their CAD drawings. The CAD drawings were $500 and were useless to us. We have lost $1000's just dealing with this outfit on delays of our home project. Interesting fact is that there is a sign in their front window that says, 'we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone'. Never fully understood the purpose of that sign but now I do.
