I hired Solt's Construction to finish a room for a custom gym in my home. At the time of the…read moreestimate, Caleb (the owner) walked me through what he thought would be best to make my vision work, recommending multiple options for finishes, lighting, insulation, etc. depending on my budget and preferences. He engineered a solution to make some pipe fit into the finished room better and made plans for some custom work to fit my needs and make sure the room looked great. Caleb gave recommendations for me to do some additional work in installing rigid foam insulation at the same time of the other work to save on costs in the long run; this was very much overdue and needed and I was glad he recommended it to me. He even noticed some damage to AC pipes that would be covered by the finished ceiling and walked me through how to easily fix it on my own before he came to do the work so they didn't cause future issues. During construction, Caleb was there EVERY DAY, doing a majority of the work himself and bringing assistance that he would task and oversee directly. Having the owner of the company do the work themselves made me feel super secure that everything was being done right. I couldn't help but overhear that Caleb was providing some on-the-job-training for the folks he brought with him and I thought that was super cool and enjoyed hearing him teach; he is obviously a pro. There's so much more to say than the review will allow; he was professional, pleasant, went above and beyond, was great value for the cost, kept the job site cleaned up every day. . . I will definitely be calling Solt's again for my next project!

I had a very disappointing experience with Wilson Heritage Lamp Shop. I was originally quoted $75…read moreto repair my lamp, but when the work was finally completed, I was told it would cost $200 unless I chose to leave the lamp with them. I dropped my lamp off in February and didn't pick it up until July. Throughout the process, I had to repeatedly call for updates. If I hadn't been following up myself, I'm not convinced the repair would have ever been completed. The lack of communication and customer service was extremely frustrating. A significant price increase, combined with a five-month turnaround and almost no proactive updates, made this a very poor experience. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this shop based on my experience.

After having the deck replaced at my home, my mother wanted to have her old deck replaced. Since…read moreher deck was not elevated, I recommended looking into concrete or stone. I had followed Montana Concrete Pro on Facebook and loved their work. When I suggested looking into them, she insisted it would be too expensive, but we called to get a quote just to see. Ahmad came out and we explained that we were in the beginning stages and weren't really sure what we were looking for (concrete, decorative concrete or pavers). We saw other project that had sitting walls and firepits, but weren't really sure what we wanted. Ahmad was very understanding and transparent. He worked up a quote for each style and gave us pricing guidelines on added features (sitting wall, firepits, etc). He spent a few minutes explaining the benefits of each style. We let him know we'd have to talk things over and we'd get back to him. We did call two other companies to get prices Montana Concrete was similarly priced to one and more affordable to another. We chose Montana and Ahmad because they were more responsive, professional and transparent during the estimate process. We worked with Ahmad to create a final design, price quote and schedule the job. Because it was busy season (mid-June) we would have to wait until the first week in August. Two weeks later we got a call from Ahmad explaining they had another job in the area next week and he'd like to do our job at the same time since his crew would be in the area. We agreed and the job started the following week. The job was originally planned to take 5-7 working days, but there were a few minor delays due to rain and extreme heat. Even with the delays the job was completed in 8 working days. Ahmad was responsive and transparent about the delays. The finished product is amazing. Montana Concrete came back numerous times after the patio was complete to reseed grass, clean spots from the pavers and remove excess materials. They made sure we were satisfied in every way possible. My mother has received so many compliments from friends, family and neighbors. One neighbor commented that it looked like "something out of a magazine." I would recommend Montana Concrete to anyone.
