No refrigerators, microwaves or coffee makers in room. Half empty vending machine on first floor. New restaurant/bar but only open a couple of days a week. Hair dryer kept shorting out, went to call front desk but phone did not work. Went downstairs but no one to be found at desk. Finally found a maintenance guy in hall who thought he fixed dryer, but didn't. Said phones haven't worked in a while. Talked to owner Andy later that day and after listening he opened the suite next door connected to our room. Not much different but it did have a refrigerator. While he and staff were nice enough, if you're looking for a bright and shiny hotel you won't find it here.

THE ROOM!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it....(the only complaint would be the bed was a little to soft for us....but that is just a preference). The room was large, clean, perfectly decorated....and the VIEW!! My God!! After settling in I immediately made my way outside and started up the hill for a view of the valley and sunset! AMAZING!! I could of explored for hours. The quiet peacefulness of the area is just what this gal needed. We then made our way to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Again the service was a 10! Dinner? There are multiple rooms with a kitchen and bar area. I noticed there was an upstairs available too. I was informed that the venue was inexpensive. If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. There are multiple rooms inside along with a bar and a kitchen area. They have big refrigerators and a fair amount of space inside the kitchen. The courtyard is shaded and very comfortable, even in the summer. The best part I think is the access to the park. Both of them showed up (right on time!) and were so friendly and professional. They carried everything to the back yard. The equipement was all in good condition and attractive. They both came back the next day on time (texting me first), picked everything up and away they went. Great experience. You really feel like you are coming home when you step onto the property. Since moving my girl in, I have noticed that she is so calm and relaxed, and has honestly never been happier. There are many areas to ride, but my favorite remains the indoor arena. I look forward to being out of the cold and nasty weather this winter. The owners are very friendly and always ready to answer any questions you may have.  After Whisper's first night at the ranch, I received a message from the owners the following morning to let me know that she had settled in well. That alone proved to me that I had made the right decision by boarding at Corkscrew, as they care for my girl as much as I do.  Corkscrew also has 3 resident dogs that are total love bugs, so beware, you will want to take the cuties home with you.  I highly recommend anyone reading this to come out and see for yourself what a great place Corkscrew Ranch is! Update: I boarded here until recently and I am so happy I was able to. This is a truly amazing facility and Lowell and Shannon are amazing people with hearts of gold. When my horse got colic, these two had treated her like she was one of thier own. It took a few hours to get ahold of me, and in that time, they walked her for countless miles to help her condition. I could not be more thankful for these people or this ranch!

We wanted our day to feel like a slightly fancy-outdoorsy family reunion and knew this spot would be perfect when we visited it in the spring. By the fall, the greenery around the venue had filled in, making the area (and all our photos) extra beautiful. The available space can be set up in many different layouts. The ceremony area easily fit our guest list of 40, with room to spare. Then, it doubled as an area for games and later a bit of casual dancing by just moving a few chairs. We loved having a few different but connected areas for guests to spend time together. The owners were so helpful explaining everything about the venue.
