There is a lot of road construction but somehow able to always find parking. In fact, there are so many places to eat, drink and buy things at, the streets feel like a general parking lot. I like the vicinity of places that are in walking distance. Also, lots of interesting building art works and murals.

Love the Midtown District! So many adorable, unique shops and restaurants. This is probably my favorite part of Reno. You can find almost anything you're looking for from crystals to used records. So much easier to navigate and more attractive since they finished the street construction and beautification. If you're in the area you have to stop at Perenn Bakery for some treats, Cabincreek for Crystal, the Arch Society for a cocktail and Junkee secondhand store to browse! Just a few of my favorite businesses but there are so many more!

It is about time that we recognize the emergence of what is manifesting itself to be the central point of Reno's nightlife, a much-appreciated quilt of diverse kitchens, watering holes and small businesses for all to enjoy and frequent. Best of all the growth and addition of new businesses continues. Once the construction project on Virginia Street is completed, more people will be out and about in the Midtown District enjoying themselves. There are many excellent choices of dining establishments, watering holes, and unique shops. Something for everyone. See you there.

It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. They have a small patio as well. Service: top-notch mixologists/alchemists.

Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

It was still pretty crowded which was nice to see, so we grabbed a spot at the bar. The bartender was friendly and quick to serve us. We ordered some draft beers, they had a good selection available. We then ordered the Crab and Artichoke skillet as an appetizer, and the Stuffed Avocado salad and Fish and Chips as our entrees. The skillet came out first but shortly after we received our entrees. That was actually a good thing because they were a good compliment to eat all together. It was more than enough food for 2 people and everything was delicious. The stuffed Avocado salad was interesting and it was delicious. The fish and chips were good, the fish was more of a tender which was actually nice because it wasn't greasy. Not sure I would order it again because there are so many other good options on the menu, but it was good. The artichoke and Crab skillet was excellent as well. We both left satisfied and impressed by the overall quality and service, already planning to go back again when the patio opens because they will let you have dogs which is always a big bonus!

So 10+ years have gone by and I think I really stay with my review from 2015…read more The atmosphere is comfy, a bit loud in the bar area, and the booths are a great option. The service was good. Drinks were offered right away, and were brought to out table in a timely manner - well, my husband got his beer right away, I got my really yummy mocktail when my meal was brought. Not a big quibble. The food was just OK. My husband ordered the steak and fries, I ordered the Lobster Roll with fries. I will say, the fries were the best part of the meal for both of us. The Lobster Roll was ok, but there was very little similarity to the New England style with actual large hunks of lobster with minimal mayo. The bun was good, the filling had the consistency of a tuna sandwich. I also had lunch here recently with a friend. Again, the food was just OK. Not bad, but nothing outstanding. I will say, the chocolate brownie was a yummy extravagance. Ok. I would come back for that again.
