We tend to run our cars into the ground, and we're able to do so safely and economically because of Brookside. Guy is excellent at providing options that make sense, and he shoots straight - no wasteful work or unnecessary repairs here. We've now taken about eight different cars - ours, relatives' - there, and the service remains fair and high quality.

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience…read more We were referred to this shop because it had the specialized equipment needed to mount a tire on a 24-inch rim. Guy told us the service would cost $50 and take about 90 minutes. Because we were on a time constraint, I politely offered $100 if the work could be expedited. He took offense, called the offer insulting, said he would not do the job even for $200, and told us to leave. We were not rude or disrespectful, and I explained that the offer was made in good faith, but he refused to reconsider. While he had every right to decline expedited service, the hostile response and refusal to serve us left me feeling unwelcome and unfairly judged. I cannot say what motivated his reaction, but I questioned whether our appearance played a role. The issue was not that the shop could not accommodate our requested timeline; it was the hostile way the request was handled and the decision to refuse service altogether. Because we were denied the opportunity to receive the quoted tire-mounting service and were treated disrespectfully when we asked about expediting it, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Wanted to post a review of Anthony Wohlrab 's outstanding car detailing business, Wohlrab Detailing…read more. If you have been waiting, this is your sign to give him a call: Anthony was incredibly professional throughout the entire process! I was kept appraised on the status of the vehicle, which needed a very heavy cleaning after dealing with flooding and major wear-and-tear. Throughout the process, I never felt that I was being over-sold a product. He also kept price top of mind on my behalf, since I was doing this as a gift, plus spending a good deal (again, justifiably so. The videos he sent me throughout the process had me amazed that one car can hold so much dirt). I trust Anthony and his team for their hard work and dedication to their customer base. His appreciation for those who take advantage of his services were evident. While speaking with him about the car, he not only remembered me from using him years ago (my trunk and a can of WD-40 did not mix. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the smell out, but he did), but also while we were talking, recognized a car driving by and immediately waved and exclaimed how much he loved that particular customer. He treats each individual like family, while offering top-notch service. Each product he used was high-quality, making even the dirtiest of cars come out like they just rolled off the dealer's lot. I am definitely coming back to Anthony when I want to give my car a good pampering, and highly recommend him to others as well.

I opted for a complete package which included clay bar, compound, wax, and a ceramic coating for the exterior. They will not push you to do work you don't need and they will advise you on how to fix your car as best as possible based on your budget. Right now this is the only repair shop I trust wholeheartedly. The one drawback is that you may have to wait several days to get an appointment because they are very popular (it's a small shop with only two mechanics - Joe the owner and his assistant) but they will work with you if you have an emergency, you will just have to wait an extended amount of time to get the car back. Whenever you drop your car off, be prepared to wait the entire day for the repair or possibly until the next day, but your car will be fixed right and they won't spring any surprises on you. If there's some other issue with the car, they'll call you and ask you what you want to do. I really like these guys they have integrity.

Not only was the diagnosis absolutely correct, but it was explained in a way that actually made sense without talking down to me. Derrick and his team have been my mechanics since I moved to West Orange in 2018, and at this point I trust them completely with my cars. They're straight shooters. If something can wait, they'll tell you. If something needs attention now, they'll show you why. No pressure, no mystery charges, no unnecessary parts swapping. From a technical standpoint, their diagnostics have been consistently spot-on. They don't just throw parts at a problem hoping something sticks; they take the time to trace the root cause, whether it's electrical, drivetrain, or something more subtle that other shops miss. The work is done right the first time, and I've never had to come back for the same issue. Pricing is fair, turnaround times are realistic, and communication is excellent. They treat you like a long-term customer, not a one-time invoice. Shops like this are rare, and if you're looking for a place you can stick with for years, this is it. I recommend them without hesitation.
