It was a regular boarding place just like this one." Surprised that I came back boarding agent, "Maybe they went to the restroom or something...." "If you are trying to help someone, please do not tell them to go to G-8. There isn't a soul down there. No information booth, nothing. At least make sure that someone is there BEFORE you send them there for help...." Straight up that lady lied to me and another Delta agent lady wasn't ready for the receipts of her lying to be shown. This was my first time in this airport. Signage and lighting were adequate but the Somalians I talked to for help lied to me to get me to leave them alone. That's a bad look for the company. Plus, I'm a nobody to them. No customer satisfaction. No supervisor to make things right and no apology. I expect nothing. But ONE thing I will do, is spend my money somewhere else and completely bypass this airport all together.

Below is my reply: Dear Erik, How delightful to receive your invitation to bask in Delta's world-class customer experience! Allow me to extend a reciprocal invite: you and your C-suite cohorts should grace us with your presence in MSP's departure area. Come witness the utter chaos and confusion your loyal, paying customers endure amid the byzantine "self-serve" check-in and baggage drop-off labyrinth. It's positively exhilarating - like a real-life escape room, but with lost luggage as the prize. To truly empathize, might I suggest you and your executive team generously trim your pay packages by a tiny fraction? The savings could fund a few more front-line workers to guide the bewildered masses through this so-called process. Or better yet, contract with an organization that actually has a track record of herding hundreds - nay, thousands - of paying customers through an organized, understandable check-in system. You know, one where people don't wander aimlessly amid hordes of fellow travelers, deciphering what to do first, second, and third before the always-fun TSA lines (bless their defined queues). It is quite apparent that Delta's business model is to maximize profits at the expense of its customers - the very source of its revenue. What other explanation can there be for obscenely high ticket prices, 12 different seating price structures, and a choice of highly-processed junk food "snacks" on a five-hour international flight? Eagerly awaiting your visit,

My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again.

The space itself is enormous with tons of seating, which makes it easy to find a comfortable place even when it's busy. The decor is classy, modern, and really well designed and thought out. It feels more like a high end hotel lounge than an airport space. The bathrooms deserve their own mention because they are shockingly nice and incredibly clean! The food and drink options are fantastic. The buffet always has great choices and it stays well stocked. I have been here for both breakfast and lunch and both were excellent. There is a huge variety of non-alcoholic beverages available and the bar offers a wide range of complimentary drinks and the bartenders do a great job. The staff here really help elevate the overall experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful and they are great about clearing plates and glasses from your table so the space stays clean and comfortable. One of the coolest features is the sky deck. It is bright, spacious, and even has its own bar which makes it a great place to relax before a flight. My favorite seats in the entire space, however, are the gold chairs facing the windows in the main lounge area. These chairs are perfectly positioned so you can watch the planes come and go. I always try to grab one of those. If I am flying out of Terminal 1, I do not care where my gate is, I am coming here. I have even shown up to the airport three hours early just to spend more time in this lounge.

Aside from having the displeasure of walking extra distance, this lounge is probably the nicest dining/loungey space in the twin cities. It reminds me of the new Four Seasons downtown. That is not a knock on the Four Seasons, just pointing out how nice this lounge it. The design, fit/finish and quality of materials throughout are amazing, truly top shelf. Anywhere you sit, you feel like you are in a very special place. Also, it is mammoth, huge, gigantic. Expansive, too. There is plenty of room to spread out and find a space to sit and work or just gather with your travel buddies. There is plenty of food and there are a couple of bars, too. My one complaint is that it is so big, that it is tough for families to navigate with small kids. The inevitable back and forth for food, drinks, extra napkins, dropped forks, bathroom trips - can become a pain schlepping back and forth. But, if you are without kids, this place it great.

Back in the my early years, my Family drove through old Shakopee (past the grain elevator) and up and past the Flying Cloud Airport on our way to the Twin Cities. We would even stop to look around and marvel at this geographically interesting location (and an old ski area down the hill). The airport was created in 1941 when the United States Navy was training pilots for World War II. The Navy made arrangements with a local farmer, Martin "Pappy" Grill, to use a grass landing strip. Pilots flying from Wold-Chamberlain Airport, now Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, would use this field for practicing approaches. After the war, Grill sold the field and some adjoining land and the field was named "Flying Cloud Airport" to reflect local Indian lore and flying. The Metropolitan Airports Commission bought the airport in 1948 and paved the runway. A control tower in 1963. By 1966, it was ranked the second-busiest airport in the central United States behind Chicago-O'Hare International Airport. In 1968, it was the ninth-busiest airport in the United States. Today it is designated by the FAA as a reliever airport and aircraft are restricted to 60,000 pounds or less, except in an emergency situation or when operated by the U.S. Government. And because of the airport's proximity to the Valleyfair amusement park, the rides are restricted in height by FAA regulations.
