We recently flew Delta between Miami and Atlanta and had no issues. Reliable and good service (gate, plane, lounge). Delta continues to be our preferred airline. My wife and I were seated in "Main Classic" on mid-day, non-stop flights both ways. Roundtrip, the total cost was $388.96. We applied eCredits for the full amount. The Sky Club in Miami is nice. It reopened in April 2024. The food and drink that I had was great (e.g., mojo pork, black beans and rice, quinoa wrap, chocolate chip cookies, Bloody Mary cocktails). The Sky Club is located in the H-J Connector in the South Terminal. Delta mainly operates out of Concourse H at MIA. read more

I took an international flight last November and paid over $1,000 extra to upgrade my ticket for the trip. Unfortunately, the upgrade was not honored for the entire journey. The only resolution offered was $30 and an "I'm sorry." That's unacceptable. I've requested to speak with management multiple times, and nothing has been done. After TWO flights were CANCELLED on another airline, I was able to book a flight home on Delta. The staff were superb and warmly greeted me at curbside check-in. Gate Agent was friendly and offered us snacks because there was a delay. Due to impending storm in Michigan it was a somewhat turbulent flight. The Pilots kept us informed and advised us to remain seated with our seatbelts fastened. After landing, I was invited into the cockpit and given a Delta trading card. This really enhanced my experience and made up for the trouble I had previously which included booking a hotel for the night to not have to SLEEP in the airport. I've never seen such a terrible airline before. This was the first time I checked in my high-end aluminum suitcase, and they returned it to me bent and badly scratched. They told me this was "normal damage" and that it doesn't affect its use. I honestly cannot imagine how roughly my luggage must have been handled for a metal suitcase to end up like this. If it had been a plastic suitcase, I can only imagine how badly it would have been damaged. Refusing compensation and providing such poor customer service is extremely disappointing. read more

Delta Airlines was my airline this time travelling to Fl for Christmas. Unfortunately, the first leg of the trip had a lay over of 4 hrs. A trip that normally would take 3 hrs took 9. The flight was good and the flight attendants were very nice. The return trip was a trip . Flight was delayed for many hours. I was re-booked the next day on two new flights. When I got to Atlanta the wheelchair service just left me there. The woman refused to wheel me to my connecting flight. At the last min a young man ran with my chair to the flight #2472 that was waiting for me. I don't know how they can do this, but to seat a wheelchair bound person to the last row of the plane, sandwiched between two people #35E. I hope their mother suffers the same fate. The flight attendants were livid. How can they do this? My Guardian Angel provided that the row across was empty, the flight attendant moved me to the empty row. read more

I've tried to handle this privately, but now people need to know what this experience was like. I have a documented hearing disability and rely on clear communication when I travel. About a week before my flights, I submitted a request for assistance online. For a month, Delta denied that I had even requested help online, despite the fact that they later admitted they saw it. I did everything right. After all that, they still chose not to properly compensate me. During boarding, the intercom wasn't working, and there were issues across multiple terminals. Imagine being in a crowded, noisy gate where everyone else knows what's going on, and you don't. I asked for help, I needed help, and I didn't get it. I have a documented hearing disability that isn't typical. I'm not deaf. I can't hear a lot of low and mid-tones, but to compensate, my hearing amplifies higher tones at a much higher rate. That means screaming babies, cabin pressure, and loud plane noises become overwhelming when I don't have the proper support. Across multiple flights, Delta only offered to accommodate me by putting us in the very back of the plane, telling me, "if you want to sit together, the only place you can sit together is in the back," even though multiple other seats were available that could have kept us together and allowed proper communication with my permanent disability. On three of the flights, we were seated in the same row but on opposite sides of the plane, which made communication extremely difficult given my hearing needs. On the fourth flight, Delta moved us to the very back together automatically, showing they knew about my needs but still refused to accommodate me properly. I was traveling to a funeral, and the stress of being isolated and denied assistance was overwhelming. After two flights, I decided to sit by myself on the third flight, which triggered a panic attack. On the final flight, Delta automatically moved us to the back together, proving they knew about my needs all along. Yet they continue to deny that I asked for help at the gate, even though I did, and even though seats were changed without my input. Delta finally admitted they saw my request but claimed their gate agents cannot provide disability specific assistance unless a passenger self identifies at the gate, which is not what happened in my case. They even made seat changes on two flights, so someone knew my needs, and yet they refused to accommodate me properly. After all of this, I was told I "never requested assistance." That's false, that's dismissive, and that's frustrating. I gave Delta multiple opportunities to fix this privately. I provided evidence and explained the impact. They chose to stand by their decision and offer nothing more than a minimal gesture. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was stressful, isolating, and made traveling much harder than it should have been, especially during a trip for a funeral. I can't help but feel like I was being discriminated against. The way the staff responded, their expressions, and the dismissive attitudes made it clear they didn't care. I've noticed this happens a lot. People assume I'm lying or exaggerating because I don't "look" disabled. I'm not deaf. You would never guess I have a hearing impairment just by looking at me. I didn't grow up like this, a stroke almost killed me, leaving me completely deaf at first and paralyzed, and this is the reality I live with now. Being disabled shouldn't mean having to fight to be heard, and it definitely shouldn't mean being ignored and then blamed. Accessibility matters, being heard matters. Experiences like this shouldn't be dismissed, and I'm sharing this so others know the reality of traveling while relying on accommodations. After all the delays and denials, Delta still chose not to properly compensate me for the stress, isolation, and impact this caused. This is how Delta Airlines treats their disabled paying customers. 4 of us (strangers) were here an hour early to check baggage at Fayetteville NC. The flight was delayed over an hour and a half. There was no person at the desk. The desk person eventually came out for a moment told us we need to get rebooked on another flight and just walked away. He lied straight to our faces and said we were not here in time. There is a 2 hour wait for a human call center agent. What is going on with Delta? I now need to pay for a hotel, which of course I can afford but I should not have to. I flew in the other day during the whole Atlanta debacle, which could have been mitigated by not continuing to bring inbound flights when there was no gates. I had to drive back two hours to get my luggage the next day. I will never again fly Delta after this, at least I can get to a human call center agent within minutes when I fly American. I had a very frustrating experience with Delta Air Lines. I purchased two tickets in November 2025 for a flight from Buenos Aires to Dublin. Due to my daughter lacking a transit visa, we had to cancel the trip. A Delta representative told me that paying an additional USD 450 upgrade would make our tickets refundable. I followed all instructions, paid the upgrade, and was later assured that the refund (more than USD3000) was initiated. However, I have never received the refund, nor has Delta responded for over 30 days, despite repeatedly contacting them. At one point, Delta tried to replace the refund with an eCredit, which I rejected because I paid extra specifically to get my money back in my account. Additionally, the agent instructed me to send false medical documentation after my case was misclassified as a medical cancellation -- something I refused to do. Throughout this process, Delta's communication has been confusing, inconsistent, and unprofessional. My mother-in-law reached out to customer support after a change of flight notification. (It lowered the layover time from over 2 hours (which is what she wanted due to her being handicap and having two little ones traveling with her one of them being autistic.) to 59 min.) this gentleman by the name of Ralph G. Was talking to her in a very rude way saying how it's all her fault bc she booked through a 3rd party app and continued to state the the only available flight she can change it to was their most expensive one. After that there were multiple flights available at a way cheaper price. He charged her $400 to change flights followed by her asking him if she can get her original seats back so that she would be seated with the kids. If you are zone 8 they make you check your carry on luggage. When you refuse because on the last flight there was space in the overhead they threaten you and tell you if you don't check it you can't go on the flight. It's so rude. I'm my flight coming to Miami they made me check my bag and there was space for it. When I got my bag from baggage claim it was dented and its a brand new bag. On my way back home I wanted to keep my bag because of how poorly they handle and was threatened by not being able to go home. There was plenty of space I should have just kept it. read more

Oof! So much negativity in this thread of reviews for Delta Airlines. Weird...considering the majority of folks I talk to concur that Delta is actually one of the best airlines you could possibly fly with at this point. I mean, at least they don't constantly cause their passengers to miss their connecting flights the way American Airlines does. But enough about the competition. Let's go over this particular location real quick. Okay, so....the only reason I'm not giving them a top notch rating is because of the limited food options within this side of the MIA airport. We actually had a substantial amount of layover time enroute back home because we docked our cruise port early and I hate cutting things close anyway. It's only a shame the closest option for coffee at that time was, quite possibly, one of the slowest Starbucks stores of all time (more about them in another review). There's a Delta SkyClub lounge within the vicinity of this wing. But it's mainly accessible to those elite members of various tiers I have yet to reach. So, the only other option there would have been to purchase a day pass, which....I can only imagine costs as much as a king's ransom. I should visit one of these lounges when I have more time so that I may review them, too. Never actually set foot in a Delta lounge as of yet. #bucketlist The airline itself is second to none in my book. At least, at the time of writing this review, anyway. We were fortunate enough to catch a direct flight to and from MIA, originating out of Boston. Which leads me to one slightly disappointing caveat: evidently, Delta does not fly out of Manchester airport as of yet. It would be lovely if they opened up a wing there. But for now, at least we have the advantage of knowing that flying out of an international airport means more options for direct flights to major cities. Apparently, all Delta flights come equipped with complimentary WiFi. They'll call it free, but that's not actually true since you need a SkyMiles login to use their WiFi as it is. Not that that's even remotely pricey by any means. But it helps if you're already a frequent flyer accumulating points. Otherwise, you may enjoy one of their many entertainment options from their rather impressive movie library. They even had some new releases on there. And for those wondering, the airplane food is....still just airplane food. If you know, you know. 'Nuff said. Sufficed to say, this will be my go-to airline until further notice or unless circumstances beyond my control force me to choose a competing airline. I'll just avoid AA at all costs since I actually enjoy making my connecting flights on time. Flew Delta first class from FLL to LGA. The seats were the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced, even in coach they have better seats. Seats are hard and unpadded, with zero lumbar sport. As far as I'm concerned, Delta Airlines is overrated! My wife and I recently were on a scheduled 7:07 AM flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Mpls/St. Paul airport. However, after we boarded the plane the plane did not depart at the time it was scheduled to depart. But rather, it sat in the hanger for 2 hours! Why? Because, as the Delta pilot reported: "There was none of the longer runways open where the plane could successfully takeoff". Apparently, our plane was too heavy to take off on the shorter runway that we were scheduled to take off on, due to the weight of the number of passengers and luggage on board. So, in order to remedy the situation, Delta decided to de-fuel the plane by removing some of our plane's fuel--to make the plane lighter for takeoff on a shorter runway. In the meantime, while all of this is otaking place, we just sat there on the plane (uncomfortable and crammed in our seats in the tight and crammed passenger seating space), in the plane's hanger. Wow, how irritating! What kind of poor planning and organization was this on the part of Delta Airlines? One of the other passengers that was traveling on the plane was so annoyed with this that she asked to get off the plane so that her daughter and her could be put on another flight--and they proceeded to exit the plane. Truth is, this is not the only time that my wife and I experienced problems with Delta Airlines. So, because of this, going forward, my wife and I will be searching for and using a different airlines to travel on for vacations, etc. read more

In the past year, I have suffered so many inconveniences that affected everything from my schedule to my health and many in between from Delta that there are too many to list. To add insult to injury, I was comped absolutely nothing, was not offered overnight accomodations, could not stay at the Sky Club to freshen up, had to sleep at the airport on a steel floor with no blankets provided and go to the agent at 4am only to be told I needed to wait elsewhere in a very long line, etc. Agents were rude, no apologies or offers of any comfort or comping skymiles or anything else each time. The last time this happened I was given a phone number to call to appeal the decision. The agent looked me straight in the face and said that I was not inconvenienced. She said she would write down that I was given choices of which flights to change to and that justified no comping. I was a loyal frequent flyer for decades, a recent silver medallion member and a Delta Platinum card holder for several years. Other airlines have comped me miles just for being 10 minutes or more late, had better food, service and professionalism including friendly attitudes. On Alaska one of the pilots was sitting in the exit row before a flight. I said nice seat, and he said oh would you like this one? Delta would've charged me quite a bit more for that. The meal that day on a flight shorter than my Delta flight was a wonderful, healthy , low calorie and sustainable quinoa salad, sweet potatoes, spinach, black beans, corn, fruit , cheese, crackers and dessert. Drinks came around twice and I got 12 oz cans of sparkling water. They asked if I wanted it flavored. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and anticipated my every move, frequently asking if I needed anything. I will no longer book Delta flights, I will move my Delta card balance over to a different card with a zero interest rate. I will move my 30,000 miles over to charity, and I will do the same with my companion pass. I will not give Delta another penny. read more

Not the best airline. I try hard not to fly Delta. When I was younger, they offered wonderful service at the counter and a pleasant flying experience. Lately they are just plain rude no matter how nice you are to the people at the counter. My last flight got cancelled due to weather at JFK on the way home from Rome. I was moved from line to line for hours while they kept telling me that I needed to get a hotel for three nights there in New York on my own. Finally I was able to go stand by on a flight to Miami and take a shuttle back to Ft. Lauderdale where I flew out of. I arrived home at 3:00 am when my flight was due in at 9:00 pm. DELTA, MIAMI AIRPORT Truly a miserable and frustrating ordeal. I had flights from MIA to ATL to DAY. My flight from MIA was scheduled for 6:08pm, then at 3:39 pm I was texted that there was a delay to 7:05, no worries still time for the connection. Then shortly after that I was texted it was delayed until 8:36pm, will be tight but doable. Then shortly after that I was texted it was delayed until 9:55, clearly missing my connection. We were driving to the airport and as the times were delayed we didn't rush. I tried to re-book and found a 6pm flight but it would be close since we had prepared for 7 or 8 flight. I was never sent a confirmation email or text that I was rescheduled on the 6pm flight so I thought I would check with the agent and figure it out. I arrived at the line at 4:55pm, at 6:20 I finally made it to the agent and found out that indeed I was rescheduled and that I missed the flight. I was told I should have been there 2 hours early and an hour and 50 minutes was not their fault. Of course I had no idea if I was rescheduled.. There were three agents assisting about 200 people with 7 empty stations. There was no service agent anywhere in the crowd to assist in bag tags or questions, NO service at all from anyone. I tried to get a bag tag but the kiosk didn't recognize my Delta credit card, my confirmation number or my boarding pass so I had no choice but to wait in line. When I pointed out that my original flight was over three hours delayed and I would like a hotel etc., I was told it was weather related in ATL and not their fault and I was on my own. I have been a Delta customer for a very long time, but I will be cancelling my Delta American Express card and choosing another airline. I have traveled to many airports in and out of the country and never saw the lack of service I saw today, appalling. I am looking for a comfortable seat to sleep on at the airport so I am at least 2 hours early for my 6am flight. read more

This time, we had a flight that was supposed to get out of Miami International Airport at 7:05 am. They let us in, and then made us get off the plane due to issues with the airplane itself. We had to then scramble and rebook our flight. I was able to rebook the flight 10:19 AM leaving Miami. Thing is I had paid for Delta Comfort on my prior flight. I lost those privileges because this was a smaller aircraft, and of course it was the same price... wonderful... and on top of that I am stuck in an airport for a few more hours. Delta gave everyone some meal vouchers, which just getting food for my brother and I had us use all three vouchers. I had to pay for my mom's food myself... yeah... Now if you are unfamiliar with the Delta terminals in MIA (H,J) there are not a lot of stores/restaurants there, so when I mean you are stuck, I mean you are stuck! Thanks to the delay, we got to Atlanta for our connecting flight to Fort Wayne late. Thankfully, we made it on the plane but only because they held the plane for us and because my mom has mobility issues and they had someone to take her in a wheelchair. Thing is, we had to run across the airport, and my brother couldn't deal with it as he was completely out of breath. Absolutely terrible experience. Flying by Delta after a long time. Since 2020, all my flying experiences have been less than perfect. Mostly because of flights getting canceled due to technical issues. I was really hoping that my luck would change with Delta. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Was flying out of Miami airport at early in the morning and my Delta flight got delayed for over 5 hours because of the portable water tank being loose. They needed an engineer to sign off on the paper work. I missed my connecting flight and there were no other flights available until late night. So had to book new flights for the next day. Delta booked the flights, gave me a hotel voucher along with meal vouchers. What I really like about delta is their large Boeing 757 and 737 flights with inflight entertainment even on the short domestic flights. Flights are spacious and very comfortable with leg space even in the basic economy. read more

I was able to receive no help after hours of being on hold and no one could help me. could transfer me to someone who could help me. I received zero customer service to help with my concern after my trip. It took us 26 hours to get home from what should have been a six hour flight and we had to rent a car and drive the last portion of it because they couldn't even fly us to our original destination and when I called to voice concern and get the the refund I was told I would receive no one could help me. I only received pushback and rude customer service the absolute worst experience of my life. Please do not Fly Delta. They are an atrocious company from Hell!!!! I have been on two trips in the last 4 months and both of them have had a portion of the flight cancelled due to lack of staff. They claimed the lack of staff was because of weather conditions and refused to assist with hotel accommodations, leaving us to find a hotel in New York at 11 pm. Delta did a great service by opening up the check-in 15 minutes earlier than stated on their video screens. At 4 am in the morning no one wants to wait in line for an additional 30 minutes. Do your research before you travel international! I purchased through Delta but they used another airline. I purchased Delta tickets and used their app during this flight. I went to the Delta desk but was told I had to go to the other airline desk to give my luggage. I also had to pay for my luggage even though THEY acknowledged I'm a Delta Silver member(no charge for luggage). I had to pay or I'd miss my flights. I contacted Delta about the $300 total in luggage fees & was verbally told to submit a request online. Today I got an email stating due to it being the international airlines policy, Delta wouldnt refund the money.
