My original flight from LaGuardia to Atlanta was cancelled, followed by my rebooked flight to Greenville after I had already spent more than seven hours at the airport. Delta offered no meaningful assistance, and I had to ask an agent to find another option. I was eventually rebooked to Columbia, SC, had to pay for a hotel, modify my rental car reservation, drive 4.5 hours to Atlanta the next morning, and pay additional parking fees. After all of this, Delta's response was to reimburse me $24. That amount doesn't come close to covering the out-of-pocket expenses I incurred, let alone the stress, lost time, and complete lack of customer service. I understand weather can disrupt travel, but how an airline takes care of its customers during those situations is what matters. We recently flew Delta between Miami and Atlanta and had no issues. Reliable and good service (gate, plane, lounge). Delta continues to be our preferred airline. My wife and I were seated in "Main Classic" on mid-day, non-stop flights both ways. Roundtrip, the total cost was $388.96. We applied eCredits for the full amount. The Sky Club in Miami is nice. It reopened in April 2024. The food and drink that I had was great (e.g., mojo pork, black beans and rice, quinoa wrap, chocolate chip cookies, Bloody Mary cocktails). The Sky Club is located in the H-J Connector in the South Terminal. Delta mainly operates out of Concourse H at MIA. read more

My flight was diverted due to a medical emergency. We were supposed to go to Little Rock but our plane was too big so we moved to Memphis. Everything in my reservation was screwed up horribly after that. The app said I was flying Memphis to little rock then Atlanta. So they didn't hold international flight despite our captain calling. Help desk couldn't issue hotel vouchers because the itinerary was a mess. Sorted it out but it was so painful. So now I've lost a day off a huge international trip, the others on my flight missed their trip completely, Delta wasn't helpful. No food. No water. Barely got hotel. No idea where my checked bag with critical gear is at this point. Can't check into new flight but need to complete customs. Won't fly Delta internationally ever again. Likely won't fly them period. 0/10 recommend. read more

I just wanted to share an absolutely wonderful experience that we had with Delta Airlines. On our trip back from San Juan Puerto Rico yesterday (flight 1946) we were given a complimentary upgrade to First class. But that was only just the beginning. When we boarded the airplane, the pilot Captain David, offered my 12 year old daughter Kimmy, the opportunity to get a view of the cockpit of the Boeing 737-800 that we were flying on. And it gets even better, Captain David also allowed my daughter to sit in the Captain's seat and pose for some INCREDIBLE photos. The Captain also showed her some of what seemed like a million flight controls and explained what they did. My daughter Kimmy said that she can't wait to share the photos with her friends and that it was the "Ultimate Flex". I just wanted to give a huge thank you to not only Captain David but to the entire flight crew and of course including the flight attendants. The flight attendants were beyond friendly and our filet mignon dinner was delicious. It was an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience! Top Notch service from the beginning to the very end. This entire crew needs to be acknowledged for their outstanding customer service. And it was my birthday as well. What a birthday present! Simply put, it's a memory that neither my daughter or I will ever forget! Thank you so very much Delta! #DELTA AIRLINES!!!!! read more

After TWO flights were CANCELLED on another airline, I was able to book a flight home on Delta. The staff were superb and warmly greeted me at curbside check-in. Gate Agent was friendly and offered us snacks because there was a delay. Due to impending storm in Michigan it was a somewhat turbulent flight. The Pilots kept us informed and advised us to remain seated with our seatbelts fastened. After landing, I was invited into the cockpit and given a Delta trading card. This really enhanced my experience and made up for the trouble I had previously which included booking a hotel for the night to not have to SLEEP in the airport. Delta Airlines is EXCELLENCE and well worth the money! read more

Two stars, and that is being generous. This review is specifically regarding Ms. Dierdre Davis at the ticket counter. Airline travel already carries enough friction without passengers being met with rudeness at the first point of contact. Ms. Davis came across as short, dismissive, and uninterested in helping. Questions felt like inconveniences rather than part of customer service, and the interaction left the impression that basic courtesy was optional. Delta has built a reputation around service, which made the experience even more disappointing. Additional customer service training would be beneficial. A ticket counter is often a passenger's first interaction with the airline, and tone, professionalism, and simple kindness make a difference. I was trave from London and I had one stop over at LA airport for 5 hour and 15 minute. when the boarding started they denied boarding and issued flight ticket for another flight which was after 2 hours. I booked my journey expecting the airlines to coordinate and take responsibility when something goes wrong. The disruption caused significant inconvenience, additional expenses, and unnecessary stress. What made the situation even worse was the lack of clear ownership and accountability from customer service. I expected Delta to investigate the issue, communicate clearly, and work directly with Virgin Atlantic to resolve the matter. Instead, I was left feeling like I had to fight just to get someone to take responsibility. Delta needs to do better when handling disrupted passengers--especially when partner airlines are involved. Customers deserve accountability, transparency, and timely resolution, not to be passed from one airline to another. They put all the blame on Virgin Atlantic. I took an international flight last November and paid over $1,000 extra to upgrade my ticket for the trip. Unfortunately, the upgrade was not honored for the entire journey. The only resolution offered was $30 and an "I'm sorry." That's unacceptable. I've requested to speak with management multiple times, and nothing has been done. my family flew to puerto vallarta last week by Delta air line. i want to comment associates who helped us at Los Angeles Terminal. a young associate Mr. Shaquille helped us at the check in. He was very quick, accurate, friendly and made the entire process smooth. Delta Airlines was my airline this time travelling to Fl for Christmas. Unfortunately, the first leg of the trip had a lay over of 4 hrs. A trip that normally would take 3 hrs took 9. The flight was good and the flight attendants were very nice. The return trip was a trip . Flight was delayed for many hours. I was re-booked the next day on two new flights. When I got to Atlanta the wheelchair service just left me there. The woman refused to wheel me to my connecting flight. At the last min a young man ran with my chair to the flight #2472 that was waiting for me. I don't know how they can do this, but to seat a wheelchair bound person to the last row of the plane, sandwiched between two people #35E. I hope their mother suffers the same fate. The flight attendants were livid. How can they do this? My Guardian Angel provided that the row across was empty, the flight attendant moved me to the empty row. read more

I've never seen such a terrible airline before. This was the first time I checked in my high-end aluminum suitcase, and they returned it to me bent and badly scratched. They told me this was "normal damage" and that it doesn't affect its use. I honestly cannot imagine how roughly my luggage must have been handled for a metal suitcase to end up like this. If it had been a plastic suitcase, I can only imagine how badly it would have been damaged. Refusing compensation and providing such poor customer service is extremely disappointing. read more

Upon arriving at JFK Airport, I proceeded to JEDDAH AirporMy connecting flight to LAX was confirmed with me by Saudi Airlines, indicating that my luggage would be directly collected from LAX. However, upon arrival at JFK Airport, the baggage was removed, and I was required to rebook it again. The Delta flight experienced an additional 1.5-hour delay. Typically, specific items are supposed to be collected from separate belts, but Herribol services were utilized on the belt due to this issue. Consequently, my ZamZam water was damaged when I attempted to retrieve it. Upon reaching GBC for a complaint, their representative didn't take my complaint. I was informed that I would need to report the issue at my final destination, LAX Airport. My flight was scheduled to depart at 7 PM, but the departure time was changed to 11:45 PM at night, resulting in a five-hour delay. I requested a rebooking through Delta's help desk and customer service, but they were unable to assist me with rebooking the tickets. Upon arriving at LAX, I discovered that another ZamZam water was missing and damaged. Really bad experience with Delta Airlines. read more

4 of us (strangers) were here an hour early to check baggage at Fayetteville NC. The flight was delayed over an hour and a half. There was no person at the desk. The desk person eventually came out for a moment told us we need to get rebooked on another flight and just walked away. He lied straight to our faces and said we were not here in time. There is a 2 hour wait for a human call center agent. What is going on with Delta? I now need to pay for a hotel, which of course I can afford but I should not have to. I flew in the other day during the whole Atlanta debacle, which could have been mitigated by not continuing to bring inbound flights when there was no gates. I had to drive back two hours to get my luggage the next day. I will never again fly Delta after this, at least I can get to a human call center agent within minutes when I fly American.
