The good: not much to talk about other than they have a good selection of new vehicles for sale. Yes, I bought a new car but everything involved was a bad experience. From the time that I arrived and test drove an SUV, purchased it with cash and still had to go and sit at the finance dept., it took 6 hours of my time to leave with the vehicle only to return to have a part replaced the next week and they ordered the wrong part. The sales person Nicholas was nothing special. Nice guy but he could have cared less about making car buying a five star experience. It should not take 45 minutes to make a sale and a whole day to drive it off the lot. It was another 10,000 miles on my 2024 MDX Acura SUV and it was time for maintenance which included a filter and oil change, washer, drain, tire rotation, and all the labor, etc. under my lease agreement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I actually called up around 11:00 AM and was granted a 2:15 appointment. I was a happy camper cause I didn't want to waste my day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. When I got there, I was taken immediately, and it wound up being almost 2 hours before it was done. I was able to sit in the customer seating area, where various types of coffee were offered gratis and they also had a concession stand offering various items which I didn't purchase.. There was a TV and lots of chairs and comfortable seating during the waiting period. We needed a car fast. After some comparison shopping, we decided on a Honda CRV. I spoke to a salesperson at another Honda dealer a little closer to where we live. They didn't have the model we wanted in stock. But offered us a higher end model at the same price. I thought it was too good to be true but they assured me it was. We made an appointment to see them that evening. Well, like they say, if it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't true. Sure enough, when we arrived, they wanted $5 grand more. I had spoken to Zack Coker earlier and he had offered us the model we wanted at a great price. Said they could give it to us that night. They assured me we could complete the transaction and go home with our car that night. It wasn't until I started to drive the SUV on I-95 that I realized that something wasn't right. The Honda website said that my 2023 Honda CR-V should have Blind Spot Imaging (BSI). It didn't. My wife has a Honda CR-V and her SUV has BSI‼ I went to the nearby Honda Dealership and spoke with the Service Manager. He looked at me and then started hunting through a handbook until he found the answer. He followed me to my SUV in the car looked at a serial number and told me he knew why my SUV did NOT have BSI. Mystery solved. Covid-19 struck. It disrupted the manufacturing supply chains. Honda was unable to get the BSI mirrors for the first 2023 CRV's, manufactured in 2022. I had an earlier produced 2023 Honda CRV and it lacked the feature that was essential to me. I was livid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Why didn't my salesperson know this and inform me when directly asked about this feature on the CRV trim level that I purchased?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I purchased the Certified Pre-Owned Honda CR-V on 10/21/25. My wife was teaching me how to use the controls and features located on the steering wheel when we were both shocked to see that the SUV was reporting that there was only 20% oil life left. How could that be if the dealership performed the oil change they reported on Car Fax when they did their inspection and maintenance to get the SUV ready to be sold as a Certified vehicle. Either the sensor / computer is not functioning properly or the oil change was not done. Either way it was NOT properly prepared to sell as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. On 11/6/25, less than 3 weeks after purchasing the SUV, it would not start. AAA came out. I was informed that the battery still had 12%. They said they could jump start me but the battery had reached the end of its reliable life. In Florida with our heat, 3 years is good for a battery. If Delray Honda had tested the battery when they did there multi-point Certification check, they knew it was going to "die" any week. They had no problems stating that the battery in the SUV they sold me was fine. I only have one question. Would the sales manager allow that SUV to be sold to his daughter or wife with the battery that was in it and ready to die. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I returned to Delray Honda to address the dead battery and the lack of mirrors with BSI.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After wandering off to the Service Department he returned to talk with me. They could get quality mirrors that would fit the 2023 CR-V but they would not be silver like the rest of the vehicle. I told him I needed the safety feature and would not have bought the vehicle if his salesman knew what I found out by going to a different Honda Dealership. He quoted me an insanely high price for the mirrors and installation. I replied that I would split the cost. After all the service department aught not to profit from their salesman's lack of knowledge. He agreed. I then added and we will split the cost of the battery I had to purchase 16 days after buying the SUV from his dealership. He agreed. We shook hands. He told me he had to order the mirrors. He told me he would call me when it was time to have them installed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]3 months later and no phone call, no text, no email. When they want you to buy a car they won't leave you alone. Told them that I have financing arranged with my bank BUT THEY SUBMITTED UPWARDS OF 8 CREDIT APPS and then said it so late in the evening that the info I had from my bank "NOT GOOD ENOUGH" so I would need to sign THEIR credit agreement....with a 17.39% interest rate! Purchased a Toyota Venza , my Daughter purchased a Honda and I have serviced and traded my Acura. Toyota was bought about 4 months ago. After about 4 thousand miles it says it needed service, I called in and confirmed that they can service the vehicle it was told to me that why would you take it to Toyota for an oil change your first oil change is free. Took time off from work got there no one knows that its a free oil change, sorry we cannot do, seems to be a classic Bait and switch I also vaguely remembered my service on the Acura there was an additional $50 shop charge they they conveniently did not let me know about. Typical shady car dealership. I called and spoke with Norman in sales. I specifically asked him if the car in question would be sold at the price advertised on their website or better. He said "yes". We go there and lo and behold there's an additional +17% "Market Adjustment" on the car, plus all the other cheap items they charge a 400% markup on like "wheel locks". If they want to do that kind of thing fine, buyer beware, just don't lie about it and waste people's time hoping they forget what you originally told them, or hope they're stupid enough to pay ridiculous markups. I suggest going elsewhere to purchase a Honda. *To Delray Honda: Please don't tell me to reach out to your "Customer Relations Department" about this, as that would add more insult to this already poor experience. I bought my Honda at this dealership 10 years ago (is my car that old? It only has 31,000 miles on it!) and I have been coming here for service ever since. I had an appointment the other day because 1/2 of the dashboard display went dark and I was unable to see 1/2 of the information I needed to know when driving. I also needed to get an oil change so I requested that as well. Unfortunately I couldn't have the dash display problem fixed as the part needed to be ordered so I will have to return when it comes in. The oil change was done and that ran $83.23, yes, not a typo! I wish I knew then about the Delray Honda oil change SPECIAL that I NOW see advertised here on their Yelp page. That would have been especially helpful to me since the dashboard display repair will be running me more than $600 when the part arrives. To be fair, I never felt they were overpriced for their services...but I am an old customer and have never been charged $83.23 for an oil change either. read more
