This was awful many trees and bugs. Didn't feel like fun camping, felt like stroll in the middle of the woods.

The campground is set up nice with plenty of areas to keep the grandkids busy. The park could use updating. The store was not stocked very well and the pool was in need of repair. The showers/bathrooms were newer. The sites were big enough to give you privacy. There were some seasonal sites that could use sprucing up. The wifi worked very good and the electric and water seemed to have been upgraded. Even though this wasn't a 5 star resort it easily could be a place I would choose again. It would probably be rough for a 42'er to navigate but my 37'er was fine. read more

The rating says it all! Definitely not equip to park a MH on their lots comfortably! It also had rained and we were sinking in the soft mud. Could use some TLC.. read more

2 adults, one child, stayed for three nights. Campground was not crowded at all. Did a special with mini golf, duck tour and waterpark tickets, saved a bit. The campground is heavily wooded, really nice, the bathrooms were clean and new. The sites were large, 30 and 50 amp service. Most campgrounds pretend to have wifi, this campground's wifi was strong at our site. There were many facilities for young kids. The main building just looked old, dark, the camp store had almost nothing in it. The pool was ok, though needed maintenance, a pool boy was not in evidence. The checkin staff was friendly. When a camper left their site a staff member came by to clean up the site if needed, thats good. Laundry facilities were clean, neat and priced fairly for the washer and dryer. Overall, sites, bathrooms, laundry, kids stuff good, camp store and main building not so good. Good value with the combo waterpark/minigolf/duck tour. read more

I cannot believe the low ratings here! We stayed here twice, and loved it both times. It's quiet, family friendly, heavily wooded, which is awesome for privacy and hiking, and the staff are very friendly and courteous. They have cool activities like hayrides, family friendly movies, a couple of game rooms, one with a fireplace, as I recall, with books and board games, and another arcade room, plus more activities. It isn't fancy, but it's clean and nice. It's ideal if you have a tent! read more

This is a very old campground. Dirt lots. Rained a lot while we were here and all lots were mud. The store's shelves were almost bare. The only saving grace was that the bathrooms were fairly clean. I would not recommend. There are a lot of other campgrounds to choose from in the area. read more

This place was HORRIBLE. The people were rude, and the place was extremely run down. There were mosquitos everywhere and they charged us way over what was quoted. There was no room to park the cars and there was very little space to maneuver the campers. We will not be returning. They also yelled at other family members when checking out for leaving bad reviews. read more

Very noisy campground between trains and the racetrack nearly 50 feet behind the site. The people that run it also are quite rude, and the firewood very overpriced for what it is. All dirt RV lots and they are not very big. Lots of ant hills as well. And last but not least was quoted one price and got a much higher one when we arrived. read more

Dirt lots on ant hills, trains to keep you up at night minus the fact your next to a high-way. Crows are your alarm clock in the AM. Nobody else was here we feel that was for a reason & you have to buy their fire wood - we just picked up brush in woods to avoid giving this place any more money. It is a creepy campground with racoons at night and a mosquito breeding ground during the day. Only positive was the nice bathrooms but with the other campgrounds in site this one is super shitty. It should be free based on our experience $30 deposit made us stay otherwise we're gone. Oh yeah, it's right down the street from "Chubby's" gentlemens club, the local trailer park hot spot... read more

Dells Timberland was pretty much a let down from the moment we drove in. We pulled in and I right away noticed the place is very run down looking. It wasn't going to make me turn around and go home, however, so decided to give it a chance. My husband goes in and pays and they never asked for his ID. As we were driving down to find our RV site, one of the seasonal campers yelled, "STOP!" very rudely at us. We were confused until we saw the stop sign covered by a tree. We were driving very slowly. Then, we found our site and just as we were attempting to pull the hitch off a worker came over and said our reservations were until 2 weeks later. We had called the day before and asked for that very weekend. They took their deposit though. They had given us someone else's campsite. So we sat and waited for about 10 minutes and they decided to leave us where we were, which was fine. Additionally, we were told the total would be around $105 but the price wound up being around $118. I didn't mind since we had a pull through site and sewer hook up which we wouldn't have had with the cheaper site. However, the fire ring was half burned up and didn't necessarily look very safe and the picnic table at our site was broken. Fast forward to Saturday. Hanging out in our camper when we hear a race car.... Yep... the campground is right next to a racetrack. It was so incredibly loud we had to shout and talk over each other until 10 PM Saturday night. Also, there is a train that goes by blowing its horn multiple times per day. The workers drive around in a golf cart and then around in a van all night long patrolling. I appreciate security but they acted like we were in the hood. It was not a nice, relaxing weekend whatsoever. We had an issue with our credit card that I was able to work out with the manager and when I told him about our less than ideal experience all he said was that he was sorry that my stay wasn't what I hoped and that we should have spoken up when we didn't recognize the name on the campground map we got. I told him that my husband didn't pay attention to the name and I did point it out as we were pulling into the site... we wound up assuming perhaps it was the name of whoever made the reservations. Any issue I had the manager acted like it just wasn't their fault and it felt like he didn't really care what I had to say. I wasn't expecting any money back or anything but a little sympathy and a truly sincere apology would have been nice. I was disappointed from start to finish. Will not return. read more

the campground was nice, but service there was terrible. i went for automotion weekend (so they expected it to be busy) and got 7 total camp grounds in my group. the park guy yelled at us and told us to go to sleep at around 12:30 at night! nobody complained, but obviously hed hear us when hes stalking the woods around our sites!! it was creepy, and he wouldnt go away. we spent good money there to get a large camp area but had a complete invasion of privacy. better off going to a hotel. read more

Dells Timberland Campground - Campgrounds Near Me - Lyndon Station, Wisconsin

Wow, is all I have to say and not in a good way. Website was very misleading and I wonder how many other people they have "lured" into this campground with their attraction ticket packages. The second we pulled in and checked in I thought this is a mistake and had it not have been a holiday weekend we would have gladly forfeited our deposit and found another campground. Very hard to maneuver a larger rv on the small lots, could barely open our slide, trees, big metal building, fences from the seasonal and park models in the way, large cement slab on sites. Very soft ground, tons of ant hills everywhere. We were quoted one price on the website with the attraction tickets and shame on me but I should have taken a picture of the ad because it was $100 more than we were expecting. Trains going by all the time, a racetrack very close to the campground that we could hear over our air conditioner and races going on till 11:30 at night. Old and run down, needs some updating for sure. Only thing that seemed to be updated was bathrooms. So many mosquitoes we could barely be outside even with a fire, citronella candles, bug spray and an extra torch we went and bought. My poor dog didn't even want to go outside to go to the bathroom since he was getting eaten alive! Most campgrounds we have been at spray for mosquitoes not this one. I do not recommend this place at all, many other nicer options to choose from. Lesson learned check reviews first, we will not be back read more

Extremely disappointed with customer service skills of the owners. My husband and I, along with four young children, we were camping over Memorial weekend with another family. On the third night, their dogs escaped from their camper. While attempting to gather them up and return them to the camper, the wife of the campground owner approached, cursing about how the dogs should be on leashes. Yes, we were aware of the rules. If you looked around our sites, you would see the dog leashes and the puppy play-yard set up for the dogs. Yes, we were getting them together to put them back in the camper. Yes, we recognize that we were in the wrong - the dogs should not have gotten loose. However, they did stay in our site and were not ruthlessly roaming the campground. They posed no threat to other campers. We apologized for the dogs being loose over and over while the owner, who was clearly intoxicated, continued to scream and curse. We would expect that the owner of an establishment would remain sober while working and recognize there are young children around. Yelling and swearing in front of my five-year-old son is completely uncalled for and unacceptable. We will not be returning and will take our business elsewhere. read more
