Another place found through Yelp and it was a good find. The place was really busy. The employees were nice and helpful. I went with the Tri-tip sandwich and a drink. The meat was very tasty and the bread was nice and fresh. This is definitely a return visit place. They have a good selection of other sandwiches too. They have places to sit inside so I was able to relax while I ate my food.

Wow, just Wow!!!!! If you dont at least try this place, assuming you are in the area, something is definitely wrong with you. The most amazing Turkey, bacon , avocado on a French roll, that I have ever had... Fresh, fresh, fresh, is an understatement!! People were super friendly, non rushed, very pleasant, all around.... Had the 1/2 sandwich and soup. Soup was chicken and dumplings and it was amazing as well. Just overall a very great experience at a little corner sandwich shop. I walked from the Pilot truck stop about 40 min away. Needless to say, I will walk back here tomorrow for lunch again. Seriously, if you are on the fence, you should come over here if you want a great sandwich and or soup at a pretty fair price, even for California....

Best sandwich spot in Salinas, hands down. I have tried 3 different sandwiches, and they have all been delicious. Two of these have been daily specials. They also have salads, wraps, potato and macaroni salads, and pastries. Lots of goodies to try. I get full easily and pricing is decent. Their staff is friendly, and look happy to serve you. This place does get packed during the lunch hour so plan accordingly. They have a small parking lot, but customers make it work, and they do have a drive through. I used to go here often for lunch when i lived in Salinas. Salads were always so fun to make here. Great variety of lettuce options. And adding bacon and cheese on top added plus croutons made for a great healthy lunch. read more

Del Rosa Deli is a Salinas staple and has been for many decades. Their sandwiches are delicious and easily some of the best in town -- definitely top three deli sandwiches in the City of Salinas in my opinion. It's a go-to spot for a lot of farmers and people who work in the ag industry, and the location is easy to access. The drive-through also makes it very convenient, especially when you're trying to grab something quick during the day. The only downside is that they close early, I believe around 4, so you have to plan ahead. Overall, a solid four stars. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture this time, but I'll take one next time and update the review. read more

Always busy around lunch, but staff are quick, amazing, and super friendly. I think the woman taking orders knew most folks by name, so it was a great atmosphere. The sandwiches are gigantic, our household favorite here is the Cali Club, but it serves as a whole day's meal! Their green salads were super fresh, and had plenty of protein, so definitely worth it if you're avoiding the bread (but eat the bread... dutch crunch roll is worth it!) read more

I am not much of a deli/sandwich eater. But Della-Rose is an exception - particularly their Tri-tip sandwich. You have to try it - it is just the bext tasting steak sandwich you will ever have. Remember to ask them to add the pepperoncinis to give it a little bit of kick. Service at Della-Rose is pretty efficient too - considering they are usually super busy at lunch time. Most of us work in the area, so we are just getting takeout or grabbing our bag of food at the drive through. But if you are looking to eat there, come early or later past the lunch hour cuz they have very limited seating. read more

I absolutely love this deli! They are close to my work obviously a local favorite, every time you go and it's around lunchtime be prepared to wait. Which is no problem I'm usually waiting happily for it or we call our order in ahead. Calling to order in ahead of something I suggest you're in and out soon to enjoy your whole lunch break digging into their delicious sandwiches. The staff is always extremely friendly as well! The girls in there really love their job and you can tell. The owner is extremely friendly and he's always there helping customers as an important part of their team. This is the kinda of gem you can only find through the Yelp community or if you were a local. On a road trip and don't want fast food but still something convenient to eat? This is the spot! What sold me on this place was the fact it was a drive-thru. Awesome family joint, high quality ingredients and very thoughtfully crafted sandwiches. Not messy, not overly stuffed which I appreciate.
