My boyfriend and I were waiting for our car to be fixed so decided to take a walk to McDonalds until we saw this little pizza spot and decided to pop in and boy I'm glad we did. THE PIZZA WAS DELICIOUS!! When taking a bite there was a huge cheese pull and the crust was definitely crunchy but not burnt. Affordable price for 3 slices of pizza. My boyfriend enjoyed a Chicken Bacon ranch slice and I stuck to the original plain. Absolutely 10/10!

Very disappointed at the honoring of Local Flavor Certificate we presented. Purchased certificate that could be used for indoor dining at $30 value for dine in spending $30. A second option was to use for take out required $45 spending and gave $30 value. Clearly marked certificate describe 2 options. We chose dine in but they refused to honor certificate for dine in value! Spoke to Monica when we went there about a month ago and she acknowledged $30 dine in was correct and honored certificate. Just went there last week and manager on site said she made a mistake and would NOT honor Local Flavor Certificate as presented. Very poor!!!

What is this gray meat? Ugh

If I could give less than a star, I would. We ordered a meat pizza and they sent a combo pizza covered in mushrooms and peppers. I called to complain and whoever answered was HORRIBLY rude. Finally got our replacement pizza and we can't even recognize what meat is on it. It's grayish/brown and tastes horrible. Literally, our pitbulls won't even touch it. Smh When you move to the East coast, you have pizza expectations....this didn't even come close to fulfilling what we wanted. We got 2 pizzas for the price of one and both are in our front yard to feed the stray animals that visit throughout the night. I wouldn't be surprised if they were still there in the morning. I will NEVER order from this establishment again.

Pretty darn good pizza for 99c a cheese slice. This place is tucked in the shopping mall and we found while desperately looking for a quickie lunch spot. Service was good and the tables were clean. Cannot beat the price for pizza, tv and quick service.

Delicious food and they take care of you. Whether it's a quick bite or want to sit and dine this is the place. And the best part is the portions are enough for a second helping!

Stopped in here yesterday afternoon after turning into the wrong parking lot. The big 99 cent slice sign caught my attention and I ended up trying it out. It was pretty busy around 4-5pm. All employees behind the counter were nice, and keeping everything under control. Phone going crazy (someone was on it), someone taking walk-ins, a server helping the tables and the pizza guys getting everything done. I will try again when I have some more time but the slice was yummy!

The pizza has no flavor. The only thing good about it - the slices cost $1.00 - so that gets them an extra star.

We were recommended the family special platter, and I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of the appetizers because it was so good. Genuinely I'm not sure if we just caught them on a slow night with the emptiness, but the environment was very welcoming, and the service was great! I'm used to Palestinian style middle eastern food growing up northeast NJ so I was a bit skeptical it was as good as the norm, but I have to admit... I found my new favorite spot. There just isn't good food anymore, ANYWHERE. I appreciate a restaurant when I come across it and they check everything off the list. 1000/10!!!

Food was fresh and delicious; attentive and timely service-wise, too. Ordering delivery was a bit of a different story. Ordered two gyros and neither had tzatziki which was very disappointing. Tzatziki is what we live for and the shining star of a gyro--how do you forget that not once but twice?! Then there were the very greasy and droopy fries. Yes, fries are delicate travelers but these were hopeless. And at a $9(!!) price point, they should really find another way of transporting them to customers. Last, the lentil soup was not prepared well. It was bland and overly thick than many others I have eaten before by other chefs. All in all, not terrible but rather a bad lasting impression. Don't think we'll be returning.

The seared tuna, and the wedge salad with chicken excellent. I had a passion fruit margarita, and it was SO yummy! The restaurant is small but cozy, with a really great vibe. I especially loved the music, it was such a nice touch and really added to the atmosphere. Prices are around $20-$35 per person, depending on what you order. ***2 1/2 stars***…read more It's rare that I have a mediocre experience where I actually want to go back to the place to give it another shot. I came here yesterday for a post-Odyssey meal with my top-tier chum from the Kingdom of Sussex around 3:30pm. We found this place by playing one of my favorite games, Yelp Roulette, where you scroll through the nearby activity feed and just pick a place that shows up on there. You can really get burned doing that, or find an interesting spot you wouldn't have otherwise stumbled upon. This one was a little column A, a little column B. The overall space is what Norte 175 really has going for it - it's a really cool building, and they've done some edgy interior decorating. It's super spacious and definitely a place I could see myself coming back for drinks in the future. My chum got a margarita but I'm in training so had to forego - arguably, maybe that was the issue; comparing notes, the drink was probably the best item either of us had, and I didn't get it. And it IS a tequila bar. I did get a diet soda, which had solid carbonation, so there's that at least. Neither of us were insanely hungry (we had a bit of fuel before our three-hour movie screening) so we split three apps - the guac, the chicken quesadilla and the grilled octopus. None of them were particularly noteworthy. Palate preference, but the guac had way too much stuff in it for me; I like a smooth, avocado-forward guac, not obscenely chunky with tons of onions guac. The octopus was not the best - texture is really important with that dish, and this one was way too chewy. The accompanying sauce didn't do enough to negate that for me. And the quesadilla was just okay; a bit bland and could probably use some kind of aioli sauce in it, or perhaps more seasoning overall with the chicken. It was fine and the best of the three, which sadly isn't saying much. We also got the raspberry lemon mousse cake (well, pretty much I did - my chum had literally one bite to be polite). As you can see from the attached, it doesn't look like anything like its stock photo on the menu, which is worth noting - still looks fine but given how different it looks in person, arguably false advertising on some level. If you're thinking about getting it, I'd rely on customer photos versus the menu if the optics are important to you. Tasty but a little too sweet - they doubled down, essentially, on the tartness, which made it a bit overwhelming, but I could easily see a lot of people being into this. The service was just okay. Our waitress did stop by occasionally but just didn't seem to be in a great mood. It honestly felt like a bit of an imposition to ask her for anything. Obviously could have just been having a bad day, but when your primary responsibility is hospitality dot dot dot. She wasn't mean by any stretch but I just wouldn't categorize her as pleasant. Is what it is. This place could really benefit from its location, literally five minutes from the Rockaway Mall - and this isn't an area with an enormous amount of options beyond the chains, so they have a legit opportunity to cash in if they can improve the food options. We'll see what happens in the future with round two.

We started off with the fried pickles that were the perfect combination of crunchy and tasty. The best fried pickles I've had because the batter was seasoned and the pickles were cooked yet still crunchy. They created a sorrel type dipping sauce that was absolutely out of this world. What drew me to this was the smoked brisket sandwich. The brisket was flavorful and literally melted in your mouth. It was topped with melted cheese and a mango habanero chutney that was out of this world. The flavor profile of this dish was exquisite. My husband did a make your own meal, which included two meats and two sides. He opted for the jerk chicken an ribs with a side of Caribbean rice and fried plantain.
