The food wasn't bad -- it was filling. But the service made for an absolutely excruciating experience. Just getting a soda was an Olympic feat. From the menu, I chose a diet sprite. She wrote it down. She brought a regular dr browns cream soda. No I said. She returned with an opened can of diet dr browns cream soda. I said, you wrote it down (a diet sprite). She said yes, but I don't know where I wrote it (!). A few minutes later she returned. They didn't have diet sprite. How about a caffeine free Coke? (Again reading from the menu). Nope. How about a regular sprite? Yup. Finally... We both ordered their soup and sandwich. He ordered chicken noodle soup and I ordered matza ball soup. They brought two bowls of matza ball soup. My half sandwich of pastrami o rye was fine. His half Bologna sandwich was fine. They brought us both coleslaw. Everyone else around us was asked which side salad they wanted. Luckily it was the kind of slaw I like... Glad we came. Now we know it's not for us.

Fox (faux) News on the TV .First impression. The positives : the sandwiches are deli sized portions and food is good. Not so positives: After attempting to order six different beverages listed on the menu we gave up because they were out of each drink we wanted, I went with Water, ( fortunately they did have that). I ordered Chicken Noodle soup with a half Baloney sandwich, what I received was Matzoh and noodles soup and half a Baloney. I guess the first waitress gave up and another waitress brought our food to the table. Meanwhile we had to listen the kitchen talking about how Sarah Palin should run for office again and how terrible the withdrawal from Afghanistan was. What the ??? The correct name for this place should be DELI ON "WRY", it being more descriptive and fitting.

Check out the signature specials for lunch . Order the pancakes or challah French toast for breakfast. Matzoah ball soup, or Nova platter with an everything bagel toasted.

Friendly service, amazing chicken salad and red skinned potato salad. Lean pastrami sandwich with chpoped liver was a home run. Lots of character and lots of celeb-signed pictures on the wall in this inviting deli with lots of regulars. Looking forward to a return when I'm back in town.

It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? Sounds like my next visit to Boca includes trying more stuff!

The sandwich itself was good, made with quality ingredients and solid flavor overall. The bread and fillings were fresh, and you can tell they care about what they're serving. One small detail: I wasn't offered any sauce suggestions, and because of that, my sandwich ended up feeling a bit dry. I think a simple recommendation from the staff would've elevated the experience. Still, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The place is small, but it gets the job done -- very much a neighborhood deli vibe. Overall, a good, no-frills sandwich spot worth trying, especially if you're already in the area.

I think there were more folks doing takeout than dining in. We asked -- as it wasn't on the menu -- but they do offer a half sandwich and soup option. Your choices of soup are noodle, or matzah ball, or soup of the day. And you can choose any of the deli meat sandwiches. I had their matzah ball soup with a half pastrami sandwich. He had the chicken noodle with a half corned beef. The sandwiches come with a pickle slice and coleslaw. The matzah ball was light and fluffy. The soup base was flavorful. The pastrami was a bit fatty and grisly so I had to deconstruct it. The rye was soft in the center and got a tad soggy from the meat, but had a nice outer edge crust. I think I'd get the corned beef instead in the future. I gave my well marinated pickle to my husband -- I'm a half sour gal myself. But I liked the slightly sweet coleslaw. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know.

Whenever I head south, it's the very first place I stop--and when I'm driving home, it's the last place I hit before getting back on the road. I even have to bring home a full order for my family, three hours away. I literally drive three hours just to eat Laspada's. That's how good they are. It was one of my favorite places when I lived in South Florida, and after all these years, they're still making the best hoagies I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, stacked, and totally unmatched. Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.
