Come the day of the replacement, I was incredibly impressed. The entire team was on time to the minute, well organized and got right to work. BACK STORY: Our roof was damaged in a hail storm. Multiple roofers came to give estimates. One…read moreafter another quoted a price for a replacement but would not make an affirmative declarative statement about the cause of the damage to trigger insurance coverage. Not surprisingly, my insurance company denied the claim. Even after a second insurance company appraisal, it remained denied. We were at a stalemate with them for 9 months. EXPERIENCE WITH IMPRIANO: Fortunately a neighbor recommended Impriano Roofing and Siding. Jack Impriano inspected the roof and confirmed there was extensive hail damage. He spent a lot of time and took great efforts to document the damage (about 150 photographs) and write up a comprehensive assessment. As a result of his efforts, our insurance company reversed itself and approved the claim--in full. We were delighted to discover the entire project was to be just as deftly executed. The Impriano organization is large enough to be both impressive and reliable but small enough to be personal. In the run up to the project everything was handled smoothly and with excellent step by step communication from the office staff (thank you, Claire!) The installation crew (under the direction of Christian) was friendly, considerate, efficient, and focused. They arrived, set up, and went right to work. They kept the worksite organized and uncluttered. Christian communicated clearly and effectively throughout the project. When finished, the job looked beautiful and Christian was clearly proud of what he had done. I paid for some upgrades and they were installed without question. They sent two different people to inspect the site and ensure the ground was free of nails or other debris. RECOMMENDATION: Impriano gets 3 thumbs up from us for a job that was excellent quality at a fair price. That's the definition of good VALUE. I can recommend them without any reservation.

I never know whether to trust rave reviews on Yelp, but in the case of Brian Ludlow, owner of…read moreLudlow's Handyman Services, the five star ratings are spot on accurate. I needed a mailbox installed and had tried for 3 months to schedule various handyman recommended by neighbors. I finally took things into my own hands and searched for a reputable and highly rated handyman on Yelp. There were several options to choose from, but I was immediately drawn to Brian's business because it is locally owned and operated by him. Plus, I really liked his bio. I could tell he was someone who enjoyed his work and was focused on high quality outcomes for customer projects. Brian did not disappoint. Every step of the process was a good one. My first point of contact was through Yelp messaging. That's when I first knew I was on the right track because Brian promptly replied. Moreover, his communication skills were excellent from the get-go. He was able to fit me into his schedule a few days after my request. He arrived on time prepared with what he needed to do the job. Everything went smoothly, especially because Brian and I had reviewed the installation instructions through photos I attached to our Yelp messages. He was able to acquire the remaining needed materials that I did not have on hand. Brian clearly knew what he was doing and got the mailbox installed without any problems. He charged a reasonable amount and was a pleasure to work with. I had a great customer experience. I already have other projects lined up for him. Living in a 200-year-old home is going to provide plenty of opportunities to call on Brian's experience and excellent problem-solving skills.

We contacted Smart Shield Windows because they are a veteran-owned and veteran-friendly company,…read morewhich was important to me as a fellow veteran. After working with Bryan and his team, I can honestly say they exceeded every expectation we had. Smart Shield talks about putting customer service, integrity, communication, and quality first, and that is exactly what we experienced. I have never had customer service from a home improvement or service company as good as what we received from Smart Shield. Everything was easy, convenient, timely, and well communicated from the first conversation through installation. We had our front entry door replaced, along with our garage entry door and a new screen/storm door. Bryan took the time to walk us through the different options, helped us get the look we wanted, and worked with the manufacturer when we had specific requests around the front door and trim. Bryan and his team were excellent every step of the way. The installation was professional, the finished work looks great, and the difference in our home was noticeable almost immediately. The house is quieter, the doors seal significantly better, and we can already feel the improvement in keeping the cool air inside and the hot air outside. What impressed me most was how easy they made the entire process. Smart Shield says they focus on customer care and keeping customers informed throughout the project, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. If you are looking for new windows or doors, I highly recommend Smart Shield Windows. They are a veteran-owned company that takes pride in its work, stands behind its products and installation, and provides a level of customer service that is increasingly hard to find. They earned every bit of this five-star review.
