My father had passed away and my mother was working on getting an income so she could handle this. We didn't know it was still owed until the day they called in June saying they were ripping her tanks out over 83 dollars. They said the truck was already on the way. We managed to get the 83 together but then unbeknownst to us they changed her account status to COD or that you have to pay on the phone the moment you order or pay the truck driver. We had relied on having 30 days of grace to pay our bill over the course of 30 years and always paid on time except for last June when she was having some difficulty paying off the balance of 83 dollars. 83 dollars. That was it. She was having difficulty because my father died. It's sad because they make hundreds a year off us and over the course of 30 years thousands. They have no mercy and no sympathy for anyone. If 83 dollars is that dire for them as a company perhaps they shouldn't be in business or they should do a better job informing their customers. Anyone who is looking for propane to heat their house or use for cooking don't use Poore's. They used to be a good company but now they are just greedy and lack any mercy towards their customers. It's all about the $$$ for them.

Funny, since they delivered 100 gallons in June 2023. I asked what could have happened to an underground 325 gallon tank in 4 months and he was surprised that it was underground. So he claimed to a homeowner that their tank was "No Good" and when told it was underground he said "Oh, well, we're not filling any more underground tanks." Quite alright, their rate was $2.40/gl and I found it with another local company for $1.59/gl.

Town & Country had the lowest current price by quite a bit! In addition, the man who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew immediately pricing, appointment times, delivery policy etc. I found this to not be true of some other companies. For example, upon calling some of the others the person answering the telephone did not have current prices or know their companies policy on minimum delivery amount etc. They had to have someone call me back. Weird and very annoying. Who has time for that. So I appreciated Town & Country's quick and friendly response. I just received my delivery yesterday. The delivery person was quick and left my bill and a small gift of a nice mug and magnet and company info at the door. Very nice touch! Will use this company again in the future I am sure.

Amerigas came 2 hours before my appointment while I wasn't home to fill my tank. During their…read morepressure test they claimed a gas leak was present. I was not home to close off the heater valve and eventually spoke with someone who said a tech would come out so they could test again. The tech never came, it got warm and a year past. It getting cold so I attempt take a crack out of getting this fixed. Contact amerigas and after 45 minutes on the phone being hung up on once, getting flipped to the automated payment method that just asked for a credit card, then getting some guy breathing into the phone louder than he talked. I caved and paid a plumber $300 to pressure test my lines. He found the leak they shut off and locked my tanks for was owned by amerigas. So I schuwld a tech to come turn my gas back on and fix their fittings to not leak. The tech once again showed up 2 hours early did no work and sent a report that I wasn't home and wasn't answering my phone that never rang. I am still with out heat for me and my children, trying to get help from Amerigas will get you nowhere.

They send a technician over a week ago who only replaced a piece of damaged pipe. The tank is still missing a foot and is not very stable. I asked the office if the technician checked how many gallons of propane we had in the tank (considering we had a leak!!!): the agent said "I don't have the information handy" - which is ridiculous. She promised she would ask management - who were supposed to reached out to the tech for his notes. We are still waiting. They would not schedule an emergency delivery (again, considering we had a leak!) because - they said - we are on the automatic delivery schedule. They are rude, condescending, dismissive and they talk over you when you are trying to get clarification. We are considering changing company.
