This company was bad when Paradee owned it and just got worst. Overcharging for gas last year paid $6.00 a gallon for fuel, other companies charged far less. Because I only used 200 gallons this year, they charge me tank retail of $170. plus, sales tax in Delaware?? Called and got a call center in India. I'm trying to get away from them. The girl I talked to first time; I could tell was reading off a card, telling me the reason for the tank rental. Asked her if she would like to pay rent for their tank being on my property. She just talked over me and didn't understand that I own the property, and their tank is on my property. If I could give negative stars I would worst company to deal with. read more

Amerigas came 2 hours before my appointment while I wasn't home to fill my tank. During their pressure test they claimed a gas leak was present. I was not home to close off the heater valve and eventually spoke with someone who said a tech would come out so they could test again. The tech never came, it got warm and a year past. It getting cold so I attempt take a crack out of getting this fixed. Contact amerigas and after 45 minutes on the phone being hung up on once, getting flipped to the automated payment method that just asked for a credit card, then getting some guy breathing into the phone louder than he talked. I caved and paid a plumber $300 to pressure test my lines. He found the leak they shut off and locked my tanks for was owned by amerigas. So I schuwld a tech to come turn my gas back on and fix their fittings to not leak. The tech once again showed up 2 hours early did no work and sent a report that I wasn't home and wasn't answering my phone that never rang. I am still with out heat for me and my children, trying to get help from Amerigas will get you nowhere. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My friend and I in Delaware has been dealing with Amerigas for 8 months. They billed us for propane that was not our account (our tank only holds so much and it was more than our tank would hold) so you would think this would have been an easy error to correct? NO! 8+ months of calls, different case #s, now a collection letter, and their off shore customer service saying they would fix it everytime, and NOTHING has changed. The late charges continue to rack up. Now we got the letter for autolock in for next year, which we cancelled timely today, so a different case for that. We have sent letters to our congress people, contacted their leadership and even the local in store team said they would correct it and it's still not corrected. We are contemplating small claims court and have already sent letters to the BBB. I never write negative reviews, usually all positive ones--but this is absolutely maddening. I agree with the others, this needs to stop. Stay away from this nightmare company come the fall when you all consider your propane choices. If and when they do ever correct this, I will take it down/update, but for now it will stay up there. I'm sorry it had to come to this. Even the collection agency said it should have been corrected. When the customer service folks say that they have so many complaints about them, there should be a class action of some kind to address this type of poor business modeling. read more

By far the worst company I've ever dealt with. You have to call multiple times for a problem that they " assure" you would be fixed. And everytime you call they give you a different answer. The foreigners who help in chat or answer phones all tell you they are writing things in your notes. Like come on no one is reading the notes. 2 days ago our tank ran out of propane. We were told no deliveries to you until next month. That's 3 wks away. We were told they would get back with us. Never did. This morning we called again. They said for 300.00 extra $ we can deliver to you today. Wth is going on with this company, are you out of your minds. So now you can come get your tank out of my yard. Bring a big backhoe because it's buried underground. Just like your company. I will never recommend this company to anyone EVER!! Very aggravated right now, they say I have to have something inspected if my propane drops below a certain level, so I ordered a fill up when it got down to 35%, then they took 10 cold winter days while I stressed every time my heater came on to come out and refill, fortunately, my level had not dropped to the point they seemed to want it to so they could charge me extra for their inspection. Then, they only filled my tank to 55%... why would they do that? I ordered my tank filled and had enough of a credit on my account to cover the cost of a full fill. No stars if possible and not the first major issue with this company. Today was suppose to be an second urgent delivery that I informed the company about. I was told there was scheduling issues with the drivers. Mind you this was after the delivery was suppose to occur on 1/20/25. I received a text message after that saying they would deliver Tuesday 1/21/25. I called 1/23/25 at 1052 and told the company that last I checked my tank was at 15%. I was told they would reroute for a delivery that day. At 615pm I received a message that the delivery would be today (1/24/25). I called this evening, after my wife said there is no heat and the delivery truck never showed to find out where the delivery is because now the house has no heat and the fuel is empty. They said they would try to reroute towards the end of the day. Then they proceeded to tell me that I had one extra day of gas left. The guy on the phone told me that they would place me to relations to speak to somebody about specific delivery times. I waited for 30mins with no answer and going to a nonfunctioning voicemail. I called the Emergency line who proceeded to tell me the urgent delivery is now Monday pending no other reroutes, and the company doesn't do deliveries on the weekends. I told them I have made contact this week and told your group that the delivery was urgent and you said well you have another day of gas left which would take me to Sunday. So, in short they knew I would run out of gas this weekend regardless and still made ZERO effort to deliver. He then said they attempted a delivery which is a lie because my wife was home all day with the infant and the back gate wide open for them. She never saw the truck nor did she receive a phone call or a knock on the door. With the temperatures in the teens tonight it is very possible my water pipes could freeze yet they do not care at all. I have to uproute my wife and infant this weekend because of their carelessness. AVOID THIS GROUP AT ALL COST. This is not the first time they have let my fuel run dry after warning them days prior. The Public Service Commission will be receiving a phone call first thing on Monday morning. read more

I honestly do not understand how this company is still in business. They have to be the worst propane company in this area. I have been out of propane for almost a week. They had no problem taking my money, but still haven't delivered the propane. We call and they tell us, that they have marked our account as "emergency" however still have not shown up. This morning we called at 8:00am and we were told a truck has been dispatched but they can't give us an exact time of when they will arrive. I have had to now leave work to wait for them because since my propane tank has now ran out of propane someone has to be home for them to light my pilot light on my hot water heater. We have had to travel to friends and family homes all week to shower. My electric bill will be sky high from the heaters running in my home due to no heat in my home. The kicker, we still had propane when we scheduled a delivery, however since they waited this long we have now run out. I am at my wits end here. I saw a review from someone else regarding this company, and they mentioned "if they could give negative stars they would" I completely agree with that statement. I normally don't go out of my way to give bad reviews, but people need to know not to spend their money with this company because they do not care about their customers in the least.
