By the way, every wine was delicious and the charcuterie boards were a huge hit. Even though we all live in Grapevine and are wine lovers, we learned so much in an afternoon. Messina Hof winery is a very special place connecting families and friends. Many thanks to Messina Hof, Tina and team for helping us make new memories with friends. We enjoyed a wine tasting, and there were plenty of tasting flights to choose from for every palate. The highlight for me was the charcuterie board--it was beautifully presented with a great variety of cheeses, cured meats, fruit, and crackers, making it perfect for sharing. We also ordered the pepperoni flatbread and caprese panini, and both were delicious. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and our servers were amazing--friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Since I had to put up with shopping, I made sure I got a wine tasting out of the deal! There are many tasting rooms in Grapevine to choose from, but Sloan & Williams seemed to be the largest and most prominent so we decided to give them a try. Conveniently located on the main drag, you really can't go wrong. When we were seated, the server explained the various wine tasting options to us. They have a huge variety, so just about any wine drinker can find a tasting that fits their desires. I did the Signature tasting and it was excellent. The price was spot on for what you got with 5 wines to taste. We also did a charcuterie board (which they have a large variety of as well) and it was the perfect pairing. The service here was great and the atmosphere was fun and casual. We'll definitely be back in the future when we pop into Grapevine.

Cute winery we discovered while exploring GrapeFest this year!…read more We first tried their sangria under their tent, and it was iced and absolutely perfect for the Texas heat. That's when we noticed their tasting room tucked away on the side street. Later, we visited The People's Choice Tasting and tried all of their wine options -- they easily ranked in our Top 3! Afterward, our group went back to their tasting room, which is nicely designed and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time the sangria was served warm. We asked for ice and had to ask twice before getting it, which was a little disappointing. If that hadn't happened, I would have given them 5 stars. I definitely want to visit again when things aren't quite as busy and get the full tasting-room experience.

I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and responsiveness from this…read moreestablishment. I reached out on four separate occasions by phone, three of which I left voicemails and sent three emails regarding booking the venue for an event. On one occasion, I even spoke directly with someone at the establishment, who advised that they would follow up with me. Unfortunately, despite my repeated attempts to communicate, I never received a response to any of my emails or a returned phone call. As someone trying to coordinate an event, timely communication is essential. The complete lack of follow-through made the planning process unnecessarily frustrating and left me with the impression that customer inquiries are not a priority. Even if the venue was unavailable, a simple response would have been appreciated. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment due to its poor customer service and lack of communication.

You can save a couple of bucks on a glass of wine, but unless you have a day off during the week, it seems a bit inconvenient. However I WAS off on a weekday and popped in to give it a try. The service was really friendly and I ordered the smoked salmon crostini. I'm a sucker for smoked salmon and had not had lunch. It is a pretty hefty portion for $12 and comes with a side of olives, however it is a bit flat. They put a bit of oregano or something on it, but it is really just smoked salmon. No red onion or capers or tomatoes to kind of cut through the richness and brighten it up a bit. Tasty though. I tried a couple of reds before deciding on a glass. They are named after songs, but it is not listed on the menu, just the varietal and a description. I enjoyed the wine. More so than some of the other spots up and down Main street. The location is great though it is a bit bare on the decor. It definitely is not a comfy lounge, type of atmosphere. Also I had the receipt emailed to me and the price did not reflect any happy hour discount. I don't know if it is just for certain wines or if this was just an oversight, but I would check the next time I am in during their limited window. That being said, at the end of the day, the wine is good. The service is good. The people there seem knowledgeable about their wines and I enjoyed myself.
