Oh, the appeal of an empty Del Taco drive-thru is a rare enticing site. I welcomed my sedan and I in. I knowingly took my chances coming to this location as others have stated, the service isn't always so cheery. And I do agree, it's a little unwelcoming (even when you're just speaking with an employee in the drive thru!). And for some reason, this location is *always* hiring, URGENTLY! If you can put all that past you, they do have a great value menu and I've notice they are pretty frequent at always adding a new seasonal item. And don't hesitate to download the app, as you will get two free tacos with any purchase by doing so! Definitely a steal. I always like to accompany any food I may buy with their strawberry lemonade. It's only $1 and will make you swoon!

My husband loves Del Taco. I'm not as big of a fan unless they have the shrimp tacos on the menu. They bring them back every now and then for a short time. I stopped in to get a to-go order. I got the two crisp shrimp tacos and churro for dessert. My husband likes the bean burrito with extra green sauce and a crisp taco with no lettuce. I loved the shrimp tacos, no doubt about it. I like that they give a lime slice with each taco. The service was friendly and they were relatively prompt in making my order. Luckily I was early in the afternoon so the dinner rush hadn't started yet. On a subsequent visit, I tried their strawberry shake and liked it very much. Fresh strawberries mixed in with whipped cream on top. Great dessert after the shrimp tacos.

Very affordable - tastes good - usually good service. A place to fulfill all your fast-food taco needs.

I would go to Garcia's more if it was closer to where I live because it is really good! I got a…read moreshredded beef taco that was just delicious! The shell was a lot different from the regular beef tacos that they were serving, and I loved it! Just not your average taco shell! The black beans were very good, and the chips while normally large and warm were broken and warm, not like the ones I remembered like Chili's, which has phenomenal chips! But they serve it with a sauce and a bean sauce, which are really really good, so not mad about it was just craving the better ones! My friends got the ice cream with rolled donuts filled with chocolate sauce, and it was really really good, I got the sopafillas, which had a very good white creamy sauce, not like the ones I've usually had, which I have come to find out ,very from restaurant to restaurant, but we're pretty good. But of course, the reason for the excellent mark is because of Mason, a great waiter, very informative, and we talked about our trips we take, and he was very informative! So they're very many reasons to like a waiter and he was among the best! It's a cool looking restaurant with very nice seats and a great Mexican look of course! It wasn't as busy on a Saturday night as I thought it would be, but the prices are really good for not a luncheon menu, almost forgot about their tortilla soup, which I ordered separate. It was truly one of the best tortilla soups I've had! So it's got a great thing going for it so I hope more people in that area of Layton go a little bit more often! However, I assume with all this government shut down business ,that it's been downright hard for anybody to get the money to do anything!

Cute little local favorite for Mexican. Unfortunately, it was under staffed. It took a long time to…read moreget seated & longer to get our order taken. I had the enchilada special. The portions were big & worth the price. Sadly, however, the ground beef was very greasy & I would not recommend it. The aqua fresca was delicious & refreshing. If i came again, I would order something different or come for breakfast.

My husband and I were invited to an exclusive brunch at Ol Skool to introduce their new breakfast…read moreburrito called The G. The event started out with a bang on a Sunday morning with endless mimosas! The guava went quick, but my husband and I were happy with the orange and pineapple mimosas. While enjoying our mimosas, they brought out the appetizer. It was freshly made guacamole topped with a chili crisp, and it included a flight of their sauces. I'm a sucker for a good guacamole...and their guacamole is great! I loved the chili crisp on top (it reminded me of the Foo Fries they had one time). The chips were salted perfectly and had a good crunch to them. The green sauce was so good, and we liked dipping the guac in it to give the guac a little bit of spice. The salsa had great flavor and I saved some for the main course, but ended up taking the salsa home (I'll touch on that later). The main course was their new special called "The G" which consisted of crinkle cut fries, scrambled eggs, basque chorizo, cheese, Inca sauce, onions, and their new Hood sauce all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. I took one glance at that burrito and I knew I was going to love it, and boy was I right! That sauce mixed with the chorizo and crispy fries really took this burrito to a whole new level. Dare I say it's my new favorite? That flavor and the crunch of the fries really made my tastebuds happy....so much so that I didn't want to change a thing by adding the salsa I saved. The side of fries came with a small container of Hood sauce. With each bite, my husband and I could taste a familiar flavor, but we couldn't quite put our finger on it.....and they wouldn't tell us their secret. We understood though because it's good! After a little bit of digesting, they served us some dessert. It was called "Churros Foster" and it consisted of churros, vanilla ice cream, and it was covered with bananas foster. This dessert was to die for! The cinnamon...the vanilla....the banana....I wanted to lick the bowl clean! I wish this was going to be a new addition to the menu, but for now it's not and I understand. I still really enjoy the churros on their dessert menu. Mimosas, delicious food, and good company! This was such a fun experience and we were very grateful to be invited.

The burritos are always massive and the service is always great. I love that they add a new burrito…read moreon the menu every month. The hood burrito in January is one of my favorites! Pastrami and steak in a burrito is genius work! I also recommend the ol skool sauce! It has a good kick!
