They use a thick soft shell, I ordered one chicken and one seasoned beef. The chicken has a chipotle sauce that even I liked (no mayo was used and I'm grateful for that). The seasoned beef had a nice spiced flavor (seriously better than Taco Bell). I would absolutely order these again. Also, they have a Dragon fruit popping drink. Oh, the appeal of an empty Del Taco drive-thru is a rare enticing site. I welcomed my sedan and I in. I knowingly took my chances coming to this location as others have stated, the service isn't always so cheery. And I do agree, it's a little unwelcoming (even when you're just speaking with an employee in the drive thru!). And for some reason, this location is *always* hiring, URGENTLY! If you can put all that past you, they do have a great value menu and I've notice they are pretty frequent at always adding a new seasonal item. What I like about Del Taco is that it's like how Taco Bell used to be before they started experimenting with all the weird nasty stuff. Is that a good thing? Well, you be the judge. My husband loves Del Taco. I'm not as big of a fan unless they have the shrimp tacos on the menu. They bring them back every now and then for a short time. I stopped in to get a to-go order. I got the two crisp shrimp tacos and churro for dessert. My husband likes the bean burrito with extra green sauce and a crisp taco with no lettuce. I loved the shrimp tacos, no doubt about it. I like that they give a lime slice with each taco. The service was friendly and they were relatively prompt in making my order. Luckily I was early in the afternoon so the dinner rush hadn't started yet. On a subsequent visit, I tried their strawberry shake and liked it very much. Okay so I got charged twice. They told me my debit card wouldn't work and process and so I gave them cash when I got home and pulled up my account I did get charged on my card and also my macho burrito was not made right. My bf and I love a good del taco run. But this time it was just sad, after a horrible day we decided to treat ourselves to shakes. Not only did it take forever to be welcomed when we got to the speaker (I've worked fast food so I understand the stress, but at least welcome us) then they handed us unmixed shakes that were a fourth of whipped topping. I used to have no problems with this location but a few times now they've messed up my order. Tonight, all I wanted was a thing of chips and queso I order they tell me my total and we pay. I watched them build a 5 star Del Taco... Well not really...but I worked right next door at a really big retail establishment and I remember when they tore down whatever was here before and built this Del Taco. I had never had many experiences with Del Taco before so I did not completely care at the time but I came to love the place. This location opened to much fanfare...I remember coming here during my lunch hour and there being a huge line but them totally handling it. They seemed to do a really nice job with staffing levels so when it was really busy they kept the line moving and kept the restaurant itself nice and clean. In an area where you had KFC, Taco Time and Burger King all in the immediate area I found myself spending maybe too much time at this Del Taco location. I am a pretty picky eater and I have a tendency to order stuff in odd ways and they always kept me happy. And keeping the customer happy is what it is all about, right? :0) read more

Taco Bell - You've been warned. This place is awesome. My wife and I usually end up making really strange requests. I don't think that we've ever placed an order straight from any menu without tweeking it in some way or another. The other night we found ourselves craving cheap Mexican, and this place beat out Taco Smell. We hadn't been here in a while, so I took a second to peruse the menu before ordering. There aren't too many surprises to be found on the menu, but if you do basic well, you don't need to delve into the abstract. We placed our complex orders and I was taken back by the employees short acknowledgments to our requests. I was certain that they were going to mess up something. We pulled up to the window and they had our order waiting for us... exactly as we had ordered it. As Mexican fast food goes, these people do it right. Very, VERY, hit or miss as far as service and efficiency. Today I was one of only two cars in the drive-thru and it took TWELVE MINUTES to get my order of a large fries. Once you are on the drive thru line you're stuck. This location has service time issues so often that my husband and I have a stack of coupons they have given us for free items when their service sucks. The food is about 80/20. 80% of the time it is hot and good and 20% it is just terrible and freezing cold. I would say that's about on par with fast food restaurants in general. read more

The service was incredibly slow. 10:00 at night only one other person in line and four people working. We waited 20 minutes after we paid for our food with zero explanation. Del Taco has displaced Taco Bell as my favorite fast food Mexican food. They have a very tasty consistent product, with special limited time offering on a regular basis. I particularly like their half pound bean and cheese burrito with green sauce, actually with "Extra" green sauce. The green sauce is great and the burrito is nutritionally sound and filling at the same time. I usually throw in a crisp taco and a medium drink (32oz vs some that only give you 20oz) so I have satisfying lunch for around $3.50. When I order for the wife I usually get the specialties that have included fish tacos, asada tacos, carnitas, and the like, all very tasty at a reasonable price. read more
