Let me start off by saying that my experience so far with Dr. Pollack and his staff has been beyond excellent! Prior to seeing Dr. Pollack I had visited 2 other plastic surgeons in the San Diego area for a tummy tuck. I was extremely eager to get the process started but wanted to make sure I was putting my body in the hands of someone who was confident and reassuring about the operation from start to finish. The staff I interacted with (Kate & Luisa) were both patient and extremely kind to me during my visits pre and post op. During all my meetings with Dr. Pollack I always felt assured in regards to the specifics of my tummy tuck operation and left with a sense of excitement rather than nervousness. I'm currently about 1 week post op and upon seeing the results as of today (with swelling still remaining) I can confidently say that my stomach looks far better than I could have imagined. The operation removed excess loose skin, remaining fat, and tightened my abdominal muscles. After losing 90lbs at the age of 20 years old (now 25) I knew it was time to make myself happy and confident again. I'm extremely happy that I chose Dr. Pollack to help me achieve this. I look forward to my follow up visits in the coming weeks/months. I am also excited to watch my body heal and transform into a physique that would not have been possible with diet and exercise alone. I will most likely share photos on RealSelf for anyone interested in an abdominoplasty with Dr. Pollack as well. Thank you again! read more

This review is for Dr. McCoy who did my bilateral blepharoplasty and I love the results. My eyes are symmetric for the first time in my life! One of my eyelids was droopy and the other appeared more hollow, so my eyes appeared increasing asymmetric over time. I've never had a surgery before but my friends have operated alongside Dr. McCoy so I knew that she is a well-trained and excellent surgeon. If you have ever considered eyelid surgery, do yourself a favor and see Dr. McCoy. She will treat you like family and will take care of your eyes. read more

Best plastic surgeon in all of San Diego. My wife had a mommy makeover and looks great. We are both thrilled with the results. At 62 she is buying bathing suits she has never worn before. The office staff is kind, professional and quick to respond. The only regret is that we did not do this years ago! read more

My review covers 3 surgeries with Dr. Pollack. First one was a tummy tuck with lipo. Dr. FORGOT to prescribe antibiotics and I ended up with an infection which quickly turned to MRSA. I have a pretty ugly scar where the infection was. Who forgets to prescribe antibiotics?? Lower thigh lift with lipo to the inside thighs. The lipo to the inside thighs were very very uneven and scars looked like barb wire. Can not wear shorts. A revision was done with my eye lift....stiches were to tight. I now have 3 long scars above my eye lids. I am asked about them all the time.....surgery was poorly done. My third surgery was an arm lift. The arm lift was fine with the exception for folded skin under my right arm. Can tell the stitching was way to tight. When I inquired I was told it would be fine as it healed. It looks like a half of a ball of skin in my arm pit. I am unsure as to why the Dr. did such a shitty job with each of my surgeries. Some of the other YELP reviews were positive. This was not the same doctor I went too!!! I often wonder my treatment was different because my insurance paid for these surgeries? if One of his receptionist gave me a gift card to me if I wrote a wonderful yelp review for Dr. Pollack. I am not sure how true all these reviews are. I have pictures and would happily share to substantiate my claims. Was extremely disappointed with his talent and bed side manner. I would take the time to find another plastic surgeon. The last note here....his staff is awesome and after surgery you will interact with them most of the time. read more

I had 2 consults for breast lift/reduction with other plastic surgeons before I came to Dr. Pollack, both suggested lots of other cosmetic procedures and were only concerned with the aesthetics. Walking into the office it's calm, quiet and his staff is wonderful! The first time meeting him, he instantly asked about my comfort and pain associated I was having. He made me instantly at ease about a procedure I had out off for 10 years because I was worried. His staff was helpful from start to finish. Now I am about 2 months post surgery and so happy with the results. It instantly relieved my back pain, they look great and I fit in shirts again! I could not recommend Dr. Pollack enough, I am so happy to have found him. I would give 100 star review if I could. read more

I am so happy with Dr. Pollock and his office staff (Sharp office location). Seeing Dr. Pollock was a wonderful experience, professional & very thorough. He was able to get my MRI approved even after two previous denials from my insurance (something a previous doctor had been unable to do). I had a bad experience with a different doctor who could not get my breast MRI approved which has delayed treatment for me. Thanks to Dr. Pollocks office I am on my way to getting the breast surgery I need. I highly recommend Dr. Pollock! read more

I am at that stage in my life where I am approaching cougar-dom and I need to start taking this whole "anti-aging" thing seriously. With the help of GroupOn/Reader Steals/Yelp Deals/Living Social, I can purchase peels and facials that will help reverse the process. I did so and was directed to this location for a microdermabrasion, which is also my first treatment (but most certainly not the last). Kristi Regina is the aesthetician here and she is awesome! She takes evening appts. Tues - Thurs (according to the receptionist) and she is very easygoing and personable. The treatment is not rough at all and nothing to fear. It is way simpler than waxing. We had some nice conversation during the 40 minute treatment too. I will most definitely consider her for future treatments!! Fair warning: you will not get a reminder call from a receptionist, so be sure to mark the appt. in your calendar. Also, the office is located in the Scripps Medical Clinc facility on El Camino Real. read more

I can't speak highly enough about Del Mar Plastic Surgery. Dr. Pollack was very professional, comforting and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Pollack and his staff from my first visit. I went on a few more consultations to satisfy myself but all the rest fell short of my expectations. Kate and the rest of the office staff were amazing as well! All my questions were answered in a timely manner and I felt they really cared about me and my final results. After losing 40lbs and having a c-section many years ago, I had excess skin that needed to be removed from my mid section. I had a tummy tuck and lipo done on my hips. I had dreamed of this surgery for years as this wasn't something I could fix with diet and exercise. On the day of surgery even the nurses assured me that I was in very good hands with Dr. Pollack. This certainly made me feel even more secure about my decision. The procedure went very well. I had very minimal pain and discomfort. I was given a booklet before my surgery with information on how to care for myself and what I should expect while recovering. This booklet was a life saver. I must have read it 50 times to make sure I was doing everything correctly and that what I was feeling was normal. And again, any questions I had about my recovery were answered immediately by Kate. It has been almost 3 months now and I have amazing results. I couldn't be happier. It's like being 18 again! I am also very impressed with the scar and how minimal it is. If I ever need anything in the future, I will not hesitate to go back to Dr. Pollack. I will also recommend him to anyone who asks! read more

Dr. Pollack and Luisa are absolute angels! After being diagnosed with breast cancer in my late 30s, I was extremely worried that I would never feel or look like myself again. Dr. Pollack ALWAYS takes the time to listen to me and address my numerous concerns. He has greatly helped me regain confidence over the past two years. I am beyond thrilled with my breast reconstruction results! His office staff is always kind and willing to help. Thank you all for your positivity and sincere care during this difficult journey. read more

While I've never been to DMPS for any surgical procedures, I frequent the offices regularly for facials by Marci Pastel. Marci definitely knows what she is doing, and with the vast improvement in the acne (now lack there of) on my face and general condition of my skin, I would (and DO!) recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic aesthetician. read more

Dr. Pollack and his staff (Kate) are over the top amazing! I have always felt very comfortable with the two of them. Dr. Pollack is VERY honest and looks out for the best interest in the patient and not his pocket book! He knows his stuff! I would highly recommend him. I have known him for 5 years now and every visit/outcome is top-notch. VERY SATISFIED! Huge Thank you to Dr. Pollack and his team for putting me first. read more

I just finished 3 facial peels with Marci Pastel, licensed aesthetician at Del Mar Plastic Surgery. The peels were done 30 days apart and I can't say how amazing my skin looks and feels! I had a photo taken recently with my cousin who is 20 years younger than I am. Our skin looks exactly the same! I was floored and so very happy! Marci is incredible. She initially spent a lot of time examining my skin, asking questions about my goals, and then chose the peel she felt would do the best for me. She's changed each peel based on how effective the last peel was. She also took the time to discuss medical grade products when I asked. Yes, when I asked! She does not push any products on you. It's really nice to know that there's someone that takes the time to work with you on your wants and needs. I've already purchased another series of peels since I'm dedicated to keeping my skin in the shape it is now. I only wish I did this 20 years ago! Don't hesitate to contact her for a consultation. You'll be pleased you did. I can't say enough great things about Marci. Del Mar Plastic Surgery is the best! read more

The minute you meet Dr. Pollack, you know you can trust him. He is straightforward, professional and friendly. My results exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him. And the staff is great too. If you are considering any procedure, please make sure to meet with Dr. Pollack first. I would not go anywhere else. read more

I have not had the pleasure of having an actual procedure with Dr Pollack...yet. However, I work in customer service and I realize how important it is to patients. I had a hiccup with my current surgeon as far as prices went and I called Dr Pollock's office for advice/help/and a possible quote as well, as a backup plan. Though I understood that the quote I was given would not be exact, due to not yet having a Consult appointment with the doctor, I was extremely pleased to find that the price was very reasonable- just 100 dollars less than my quote from my current surgeon. I was impressed with the time that Kate took to let me explain my situation and frustrations and my hopes of how their office might be of assistance. She took time out of her day to crunch numbers for me, even as a possible, potential patient. She never once said anything negative about my current surgeon and sincerely hoped I was able to work it out given the circumstances and situation I was in. I felt that showed much compassion and much integrity of their office. Impressive! My surgeon and I were able to settle the difference we had after all and I was very much so pleased to keep him as my surgeon, especially since I already had the surgery date and recovery dates reserved and they already had collected my deposit. I was extremely comfortable with my current surgeon, but had it not been resolved with him, I was very excited to see Dr Pollack and his staff. All in all, this office so far has displayed nothing but professionalism, compassion, fairness and integrity...and ALL of those components are exactly what I would be looking for in a surgeon!! Impressive!!! Furthermore, should I need/want any other procedures, Dr Pollack's office WILL be the next office for a consult appointment! Thanks so much! read more

Dr. Pollack is one of the kindest, most ethical doctors I've met. He TRULY cares about his patients. One of the things I've always been most impressed with is his unwillingness to do an unnecessary procedure and his complete lack of "up sell". Whenever I've gotten the bug to do something "unnecessary", his response has been "the enemy of good is better", and told me to leave it alone. (I have known other plastic surgeons where you walk in to have something minor removed, and they try to sell you new breasts, eyes, laser face lift, lipo, brow lift, and a tummy tuck, and that was on a thin, fit 30 year old!). If you want an HONEST opinion, go to Dr. Pollack! read more

I was refrerred to Dr. Larry Pollack by a friend who had stomach/leg lipo and a breast augmentaion from him. Her results were amazing- so I decided to give him a try. I didn't need a large procedure, just a very small amount of lipo on by lower belly that really bothered me. I had decided that if I liked the vibe and the people I would use Dr. Pollack and if there was anything I didn't like, I would seek doctors elsewhere. From the minute I walked into the very cute office, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Kate his assistant is AMAZING, even giving me a birthday & starbucks gift card when I arrived for my pre-op appt on my birthday. Dr Pollack made me feel very at ease, and was very honest when I inquired about other potential procedures, telling me not to do them and that I didn't need them. This impressed me greatly, as some people are only in it for money, but I did not get this feeling from him at all. When arriving at the hospital the morning of my procedure, EVERYONE raved about Dr. Pollack, telling me he was one of the best. I am always VERY nervous about any operation I have had in the past, and this helped put me at ease. I was in and out in a matter of hours and LOVED my results. My belly was completely flat, even with the swelling. It has been a couple of weeks now, and my healing has been very good and I have no regrets!! I am guessing as I get older, (I am 46 now), I will most likely get additional procedures, and I will always go back to Dr. Pollack and Kate. Very highly recommeded!! read more

A friend referred me to see Dr Pollack for a breast augmentation. Now I know why she speaks highly of Dr Pollack and his staff. Everybody in the office were friendly and sincere. They walked me through the process from consultation to post op appointments. The doctor listened to me and delivered what I expected. Kate answered all my questions and made me feel safe. I am confident to refer Dr Pollack to my friends because I know they will be taken cared of and will be happy with their experiences. read more

I had the absolute best experience ever when I decided to go with Dr Pollack for my breast augmentation!! Dr Pollack is very warm, professional and actually very funny. The office staff is incredible also! Kate is so nice and warm and makes you feel very comfortable. The surgery center was also very professional and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was very worried that my breasts would end up being too large and Dr Pollack assured me that they wouldn't be. He was right, they are perfect! The whole process was so easy and I'm so happy with my results! I absolutely recommend Dr Pollack at Del Mar Plastic Surgery!! read more

I can't rave enough about this place! From the initial appointment, to email correspondence with Kate, to my surgery with Dr. Pollack, I felt taken care of and confident in the process the entire time. Dr. Pollack was the perfect balance of listening to my wants and needs for my results but also firmly stating his stance as well. The surgery (breast augmentation and labia plasty) was smooth and the staff was so kind that, in my drugged up state, I couldn't stop telling them how kind they all were. And, best of all, I am SO happy with my results!! They look beautiful and natural and he hid the scar perfectly. I really couldn't be happier! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I am more than happy with the experience I had with Dr. Pollack and his staff! I had a procedure May 22, 2015. I had scheduled several consultations and met several different doctors (Pousti, S.Miller, Urmansky, LJCSC... etc.,) and to compare quotes. Dr. Pollack was my 9th consultation and I knew from the second I met him and his staff, they were the right office for me. During my consultation he was so pleasant and informative. He taught me a lot about the procedure in general and made sure that I was left with no questions unanswered. He is polite and very down to earth. I agree with another yelper when they say he is "the best doctor ever!" My surgery went fantastic and the hospital where it was performed was phenomenal! The whole process was completely perfect and turned out even better than I had imagined. I couldn't imagine being as happy with my results, and care with anyone else. Surgery is a huge decision and Dr. Pollack made the decision very easy for me. I had confidence in him after the first 5 mins. of talking to him. His staff is incredible and does an excellent job with followup and answering questions. I genuinely adore Dr. Pollack and his entire staff! I will never use or recommend another plastic surgeon!!!! :) Update: Had a second procedure with Dr. Pollack just a few months ago (Oct. 2016)...And am again, beyond happy with the results and care I received. He is absolutely the best, to say the least!!!! read more

DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AMAZING PLASTIC SURGEON!!!!!! I am a 46 year old woman who felt that my appearance was not really supporting the youthfullness that I had inside. I knew that I definatley wanted to get some work done and was really looking for some expert advice. I was very nervous and really didn't know what to expect. From the moment I walked into the office I felt so welcomed. Tanya was there at the front desk and was so personable and immediatley put me at ease. I first meant with Kate who is Dr. Pollack"s Office Manager. SHE WAS AMAZING. It was so wonderful to have a female that you can talk with first and really share with her your concerns and get many 'sensitive" questions answered before you even meet with the doctor. She is your "GO TO LADY" throughout the whole process. She was available anytime I had questions or concerns. She was so supportive when I was recovering. She followed up with me after my procedures just to see how I was doing. AMAZING patient care. Dr. Pollack is such a very caring and of course talented surgeon. I discussed with him my areas of concern and I thing that really stood out with me is he is SO HONEST. He is not afraid to tell you his professional opinion and will be straightforward with you on what he feels will be the best procedure for you. So many physicians out there are really just trying to sell you something to make money. I was so impressed with my consulation with Dr. Pollack. After my first visit, I knew he was going to be my surgeon. I had a facelift, fraxel laser treatment and a tummy tuck done and I am so happy with the results. I was on a very tight schedule due to a vacation that I had planned and Kate and the office staff were so flexible and mapped out a very strategic plan to ensure I had time to recover before I put on my bikini top for my cruise.. YEAH! They have an AMAZING esthetician named Marci who worked with me on preperation for my fraxel laser treatment. She gave me such great advice for skin care. I was so impressed that I brought my 20 year old daughter who was struggling with her skin tone after her acutane treatment. She is getting some great results from her sessions with Marci. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go see Dr. Pollack and his amazing staff. You will be so impressed. read more

I've had a few treatments with Dr. Pollack and have to say he's one of the most caring and professional Plastic surgeons in the business. I would highly recommend Dr. Pollack to anyone that needs an honest Doctor that's ethical and compassionate. read more

Amazing surgeon! I had severe diastasis recti. Dr. Pollack was the 3rd doctor I interviewed. After meeting with him, he was hands down, the right doctor for this tummy tuck job. He was like a kid in the candy store when he realized that HE can make me better. He smiled ear to ear with excitement about how I am going to look. :) My OB said he is one of the top surgeons in San Diego and to boot, he does surgeries at Sharp! His bedside manners are incredible and Kate and Toni, simply amazing and sweeter than sugar. I highly recommend to stay overnight at Sharp after this procedure. It is worth every single penny for pain management. read more
