Thought, from the commercial it would be an easy process with little downtime....long story short they convinced me to do a mommy makeover. The day of surgery I stayed in a hotel over night near there as I had follow up the next day. My bed looked like a crime scene I bled out so much. Within a week, I had an infection so bad the doctor told me to put a Kotex with bleach in the incision, which was the worst pain ever. He then had me start going to his Culver Ciry office, since it was closer to me and it was dirty and gross. Thankfully it was just for follow up. In 2023, I noticed leaking from my belly button on occasion but so minimal I didn't think too much about it. It would happen in rare occasions. Now fast forward to 2025, my belly button started really leaking and it smelled horrible. Went to my doctors, had to go through ultrasounds, ct scans, blood work....nothing. My belly would swell on occasion as big as someone who was 7 mi the pregnant. Finally they had me just walk in while leaking and swabbed it. It was an infection. They recommended seeing a plastic surgeon since they deduced it may have been from my plastic surgery. I called Sono Bello in San Diego thinking they would be able to at least see me. They had no record of my surgery and wouldn't help me at all. I finally went to a plastic surgeon I was familiar with in Claremont. Here we are in 2026 and I just had surgery yesterday to remove infected sutures in my belly button. The infection had gotten so bad the hole in my belly button was the size of an eraser head. Sono Bello was nice as could be when taking my money but the fact they had no record of my surgery or refused to even try to help was appalling. Do NOT fall for the scam, you get what you pay for and investing in your body and health is worth more.

I then booked with Dr. Sabrina Fabi for the first time, influenced by her large social media presence and how the front desk emphasized how hard it is to get an appointment with her. For context, I'm very experienced with Botox and have had it done many times in the same areas without issue. At this visit, I received Botox in my masseters, crow's feet, under-eye bag line, 11s, and forehead. None of these areas were new for me. Dr. Fabi arrived about 40 minutes late, which I was told is "typical." That night, I developed large, visible lumps in my masseters and additional bumps near my temples when opening my mouth. I'd never experienced anything like this before. I returned to the office two days later and was told it was "normal" and that Botox takes two weeks to settle. By the time of my follow-up appointment nearly a week later, my appearance was extremely abnormal. The best way I can describe it is that I looked like a mix between Chiseled Squidward and Quasimodo. I pay a premium to go to a cosmetic dermatology practice because this is my face, and I expect expertise, precision, and accountability. At the follow-up, I felt dismissed and gaslit. While the masseter issue was acknowledged, my main concern was new bumps near my eyes that I never had before. Dr. Fabi insisted they were always there, which is simply not true. I have clear before photos. When I said I felt my before looked better, her response was, "Oh, with your hooded eyes?" That comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional. It has now been over a week since the follow-up and the bumps are still present. I paid $1,500 and feel worse about my appearance than when I walked in. The consolation was very numbers focused (in regards to measurements and size), straight forward, and no-bullshit. He was honest about which sizes looked best, which type of implant would suit my body better, and overall made me feel confident in his abilities as a surgeon due to his honesty and education. His staff is AMAZING and Dr Kearney himself is extremely honest, blunt, and straight forward, which was exactly what I needed. He has this unique sense of humor that makes you feel at ease and provides that bedside manner that all patients are looking for. I scheduled my surgery shortly after my consultation. Dr Kearney was on time, polite, and reassuring with me come surgery day, making me feel comfortable and confident in my decision with him. I had decided to get 325cc implants, which I was hesitant about as I had a gut feeling that I wanted to go bigger. Fast forward to six months after my surgery (everything went well and I was healing great), I decided that I did in fact was to be larger, so I called Dr Kearney's office and scheduled another consultation for second surgery. Dr. Kearney was great and very understanding with my decision. We scheduled another surgery soon after, and agreed on 450cc's. This surgery went amazing again, and I was SO happy with the final result. He did a phenomenal job both times and was so easy to love during the process. I appreciate his honesty, confidence, and ability to make his patients feel comfortable in their decision. My advice, choose Dr. Kearney for your breast augmentation! He spoke very fast, was insistent, and both my support person and I felt lost and talked over. He told me my nipples were "turned down," which I disagreed with, and made unsolicited comments such as women not wanting to "look like a boy," that "guys don't care about scars," and that "you either have scars or you don't have bigger boobs." These comments felt inappropriate and made me feel pressured and insecure rather than supported. Overall, I felt that he did not listen to my goals or respect my boundaries. I booked this consultation specifically because of his advertised experience with endoscopic transaxillary cases and made my preferences very clear, yet I felt pushed toward a procedure I did not want. I would not trust this doctor and would recommend finding a surgeon who truly listens and has experience in the specific approach you're looking for. Additionally after the consultation, I called the office again to clarify whether it would be possible to proceed with an under-the-armpit approach without a lift, since I am comfortable with my breast shape and simply want more volume. He responded that I would "have the same breasts, just bigger," and that I would still have "the same problem." I explained that I do not see my breasts as a problem and that I like them as they are. He then told me that I should find a different doctor.

I feel a sense of connection to him because his brother (Dr. Wendell Smoot) did my very first breast augmentation 20 years ago at LJCSC so who else better to choose as your surgeon! I went to his office for a consultation regarding removing my 20 year old saline implants and replacing with silicone. I still wanted a very natural look but at the same time go a little bigger and be able to notice it. He took the time to listen to my concerns and my hopes for the outcome of my procedure. He recommends what's best for your body type so you have the best natural results as possible and I LOVE how absolutely honest he is. I trusted him 100% and he gave me the exact results that I wanted. From my initial consult, to my pre-op, to my surgery day, to my post-op's, everything just went so smoothly! In terms of pain and the procedure - I was nervous about the pain that would be involved with the recovery, but I truly felt little to no pain. I didn't have to take any intense pain medication.
