My whole experience getting my rhinoplasty with Dr. Umansky was great. I met Dr. Umansky through my fiancé's cousin. I had been unhappy with my nose since puberty but I was nervous about choosing a surgeon. Getting a recommendation from family made me feel much more comfortable. Everyone in the office is very professional and positive. Heidi is awesome! Dr. Umansky has great energy. I was really scared the morning of my procedure. When I was going under, he talked to me and told me to imagine my dream vacation. The next thing I knew it was done. My recovery was SO much easier than my friend's who had a rhinoplasty with a different doctor. I had minimal bruising and swelling. The first 8 days were hard but I started to feel better on the 8th day when my splint came off. Honestly, I've been debating a long time whether to make this review, but every time I look in the mirror, I'm just so unhappy with my results. In late 2018, I decided to go through Dr. Umansky to get my rhinoplasty. He was the third consult I had gone to and I really feel like he understood what I was looking for, his reviews were great, and I loved his years of experience and chair side manner. My rhinoplasty happened and all went well. Although, I am a type 1 diabetic and obviously informed them. My biggest concern was going under general anesthesia and then having my blood sugar go low. They told me they would make sure I was fine and that they would check my blood sugar for me while I was under at least one or two times. Morning of my surgery, I ask the nurse about it before heading in. She said they are unable to do it. So there was no backing out and I double checked to make sure I was in good range and ensured I didn't take the normal insulin dose that morning so I would hopefully remain in good range. Surgery happened and it went great. I woke up to the nurse attempting to check my blood sugar with my meter and did not know how to so she woke me up to check it out, I checked it and I was mid-50's. Thank goodness this happened after surgery. I chugged down my juice, got my things and had them take me out to the car. Now, I did all of my follow up visits. The cast came off a week later and I liked the look, but it was still not exactly what I wanted. I was told it takes up to a year for the swelling to go down. I know I had some major swelling around my nose so I gave it time. Then my one year follow up happened and I expressed to Dr. Umansky how unhappy I was. He kept telling me it was better than before. And yes, I know it is but the bump was not the only thing I was hoping to change, I also wanted the tip adjusted and I expressed that to him during the consult. He told me he could fix it again, but I would have to go under. I was emailed a quote for the new cost, in addition to what I had already paid. And I would have to go under yet again, and truly didn't feel comfortable with how they handled my diabetes the first time so I knew I didn't want to go under again. Overall, I had high hopes for this place, doctor, and staff. Everyone was wonderful, but I ended up not really pleased with the outcome and wish it would have looked better and they would have taken my condition seriously. Because if I went too low during the surgery, things could have gone bad. After almost 2 years, my nose is nothing as I had hoped or imagined it would look. Overall, I'm just bummed out and disappointed. read more

I believe many people feel shy to admit they have been in to a plastic surgeon, hence the low amount of reviews. I can say this office is experienced and very busy. I was born with a pretty severe deformity, and had a different surgeon do a reconstruction 9 yrs. ago. I wasn't thrilled with the results, but it was a large improvement over what I had been born with, plus I didnt have enough money left on the money tree to have a surgery re done, so I let it be. Over the past 9 years, it has nagged at me that I really wasn't satisfied with how things looked. I decided to see Dr. William Umansky after many different, unrelated people recommended him wholeheartedly. This man is an incredible surgeon. Not sure whats up with the one bad reviewer but that was not my experience AT ALL! I was joking w my trainer about getting a boob job when he told me about Dr Umansky. I went online to check him out and absolutely fell in love with his work. The man is a true artist. He was so nice and understanding when we met that I didn't even consider anyone else. My procedure was amazingly easy (I'm talking I needed no pain killers, I was able to sunbath face down the nxt day and was back to work doing massage in less then 2 wks. My girlfriends all love my boobs and they all plan to use him in the future. Most ppl dont even realize my boobs are fake unless I tell them. Price has never been an issue for me.
