I traveled from the mountains outside of Aspen, Colorado to have explant surgery performed by Dr. Batra. I have been a patient of his for many years (he did not perform my implant surgery since he would have been in med school at the time), but he did operate on my face 10 years ago removing skin cancer in two significant areas. Within a few months, there was no -ZERO- evidence of the deep incisions the surgery required. After a consult and pre-op visit two months prior to surgery, the explant surgery itself was flawless, very little pain, thoughtful follow-up and five months post, looks AMAZING. Dr. Rishi Jindal lacks bedside manner and seems to be less interested in talking with you as a patient if you have concerns about your post-op healing or are having issues with the outcome of the surgery. I currently am supposed to go in for scar revision sx from an arm lift surgery he performed on me about 4 months ago. My healing process involved a hole in my left arm that took a while to heal. This I believe to be attributed to the terrible scar left behind. I also had some liposuction on my inner thighs that left some loose skin. now I really can't wear a bikini cause my inner thighs look like a old ladys thighs with loose and folded skin. I am very hesitant to let him cut me again because either I live with the scars i currently have or risk having more complications after another surgery for him to fix the first sx he did. read more

The staff was great but I left with an awful feelling that Dr. Jindal just did not want to do my procedure and was so let down. After all I went through with cancer (tests, chem, 2 surgerys and radiation), I had been longing to have the final step done for so long, a year and a half after my cancer diagnosis. I went to DR. jindal With a VERY painful Broken finger, which impacted the knuckle. He told me it was too far along in the healing process for him to help me, He was going to refer me to another Dr. which i knew to be a good surgeon. He said he would do it that day. Having heard nothing i called his office and was told the referral had not been made. this was last Thursday. I was promised they would get it done and i would hear back "by the end of the day, but no later than friday. Having heard nothing, I called today. the referral STILL had not been made. Do not go here for Miradry I was given a $800 price if I needed a second treatment as long as I called back within 3 months as part of a promotion. When I tried to schedule the appointment for the second treatment they said the price would be $1200 so they blatantly lied to me so I would book the first treatment. I had breast augmentation with Dr.Batra. He is a terrible communicator. He did not understand what I wanted . He had to operate on me a second time to try to get closer to what I asked for and still, he struck out. I gave him 2 chances and he had the nerve to charge me for the second surgery for OR and anesthesia! I thought i could live with it . I told myself it wasn't that bad ...but it was. He is impatient and does not listen. He runs more of a factory than a practice . He was super nice in the beginning but as soon as there was an issue he had to fix he quickly changed his tune . Beware of Dr. Rishi Jindal's work. He damaged my body and destroyed any self confidence I had with it. Before I hired him as my surgeon (surgery date: 10/6/21) I noticed he didn't have any patient referrals. There were no results of his work available, only Dr. Batra's. After several requests he proved me of one set of images from one patient he said he no longer had contact with. I took him at his word because of the reputable practice he was associated with (Coastal Plastic Surgeons) and his nice office in Del Mar. I figured his colleague (Dr. Batra) wouldn't hang his name and reputation on the same practice with an inexperienced doctor like Dr. Jindal. I was wrong! This was a major red flag! I never had experience with plastic surgery and didn't know that things could go horribly wrong as they did. Don't make the same mistake as me! You WILL regret it. Although I was emotionally compromised (due to a recent hysterectomy) and had informed him of this, Dr. Jindal did not have a problem doing multiple surgical procedures on me, all at one time! I had a breast reduction, tummy tuck, panniculectomy, and liposuction of my chin, thighs and side breasts. My recovery was extremely painful and long lasting. I was in the hospital for 7 nights after surgery. There was a complication in my breast that resulted in further surgery and at one point I had lost so much blood that I needed a transfusion. My drains were in for over 6 weeks! After a nightmarish recovery, I noticed my results were even worse than my recovery. I informed him of this several times in person at appointments, but he kept telling me to wait for the results to improve and whatever didn't improve he would "fix". After several months of waiting on his word (and crying everyday from sharp shooting pain and sadness that I payed so much to damaged my body), he ended up going back on his word and promise to "fix" me, saying that it was too difficult for him, and referred me to another physician, that said she wouldn't be able to do the surgery for another year after my recovery due to excessive scarring. My results to this day: 1. Misshapen left breast with a large lump (I had to have two painful mammograms and biopsies for). Sagging deflated looking right breast (I payed extra for a lift!). Bad liposuction. See images of my thighs and side breasts. My thighs now have a weird lump at the very top, making them look like a butt. After seeing other surgeons, they say this is very hard to fix and will require a complete thigh lift that may not work to remove the lumps. The liposuction of my double chin didn't work AT ALL and somehow managed to make my double chin worse! Other surgeons said they typically don't lipo this because it doesn't take. They perform other procedures to get rid of a double chin. Dr. Jindal never informed me of this and was happy to take my money to for additional lipo. I wore an chin brace for several months after surgery to make sure I was doing my part, but nothing helped. The only part of my surgery that went well was the panniculectomy, which was covered by my insurance. The tummy tuck was a complete joke. Mine looks like a beer belly now (very large up top). The side breast lipo was nonexistent in my results (see photos). In summary, I went through several months of pain, agony, anxiety, went under dept (I'm a teacher and don't have too much money to throw around) to get bad lasting results that damaged my self esteem (I never want anyone to see my body now. I won't even wear a bathing suit). The only reason I even had so much surgery was because I'm a single woman that suffered from severe endometriosis, has no children and had to have a complete hysterectomy last July. I figured getting a reduction, lift and tuck (mommy make-over) would help me with how I was feeling after losing my chance to have children. I was looking to go back out there and date, and begin my life anew. All of that destroyed by Dr. Jindal's medical misrepresentation and flat out lies to help me look better. Gratitude. If I only had one word to describe my experience with Coastal Plastic Surgeons, it would be Gratitude. I am so lucky I got it right when I chose Dr. Batra for a number of surgical procedures. You see, a few years ago I made the decision to correct some of the damage my body had suffered after battling with a weight problem my whole life. Extreme yo-yo dieting takes it's toll on the body (as well as natural ageing). After loosing the weight and keeping it off for a number of years, I decided to treat myself with some corrective surgery to repair the damage. In total, I have had four major procedures in two separate surgeries. The results have been amazing. For the first time in my life I have a flat stomach, something I never thought possible. My breasts used to be massive. I got them reduced to a C cup. My shoulders and back pain are gone! I can actually wear a strapless or spaghetti strap gown now. The arms. I used to be self conscious about wearing tank tops. Not anymore. Summertime is much more fun when you don't feel the need to hide your arms in fabric. My neck....Bye bye turkey neck. Go ahead and take that photo from any angle! I no longer require a selfie stick to reach the stratosphere for a decent picture. I had a very brief consultation with Dr Batra after being referred to his office by a lawyer handling my auto case. (The airbags were deployed and I had to get 6 stitches on my lip.) Dr Batra provided some treatment/scar reduction options. Some other reviewers said he seemed rude etc but I didn't get that feeling. He seems like a busy man but was genial and did do a close examination. The office is really nice and the front staff were friendly. I'm sorry I have to give him a one star. I went to him for a breast reduction and lift. While it's been a few years now, every time I see my breasts I feel like a freak. First off, they are loop sided. One is lower then the other. He wanted to charge me $500.00 to correct his mistake too! I was cut like fileting a fish. Super large insisions and scars. That was certainly not disclosed to me. My nipples are mutilated. Pieces are missing. One a whole I am so unhappy. They look horrible. I am. 76 years old and have lost 230 lbs. My body was so misshapen from so much hanging skin on my stomach, breasts, and arms I had not looked in the mirror at myself for over ten yrs. I was embarrassed to even have my husband see me without clothes. I talked to my primary care doctor at scripps and told him I needed help with this. He told me to give him a few days and he would find me a good plastic surgeon to go to. He looked in the Scripps system and could not find what he was looking for. He went out of the Scripps System and he found Dr. Jindal for me. This man is professional, caring, skilled, and very knowledgeable. He took 6 lbs of having skin. off my abdomen, and he did a breast. lift and skin removal off of my. arms. He has great bedside manner. He's not a personal friend so I didn't expect small talk from him. He was very respectful and made me feel very comfortable. I did everything exactly a he told me and healed up very fast. After the stomach skin removal I spent 3 days in the hospital and couldn't wait to get out and get on with life. I rested at home for a couple of days and just returned to my normal routine. With my breast lift (no implant or any other augmentation) and skin removal on my arms I was down the first day of surgery but was up the next day at my normal routine. I used Vitamin E and zinc ointment two weeks after surgery and my scars have almost disappeared. What did I do as a career? I was a professional chef and caterer and spent 15 hours a day working. I had very little pain from these surgeries and never did take more than Tylenol. I had my second surgery in the Surgery center that Dr. Jindal recommend and my first surgery was in Scripps hospital. I cannot say enough about this man and have recommended him to several of my friends. I did not expect to look 16 again but I'm here to tell you I also do not look like I'm 76. My niece up in Washington and she Is a physician and checks out everything for everyone in he family and she told me Dr. Jindal was a great recommendation. Also his office help is very helpful, very polite and very nice. Thank you Dr. Jindal (your the best and you changed my life forever. Dr. Batra is amazing! I picked him because not only do I believe he's intelligent I believe and I was right he is a good person. It's hard to read some of these comments about the office staff that now know my name before I even get to the desk they already check me inn when they see me walking inn. I've even taken my mom to the spa and they now ask me at my regular visits how is my mom doing. I don't want to put my life in the hands of just anyone and that's why I picked these people because I know they care about me. As a nurse I'm even more critical than the average person of who I am going to pick to care for me. I wish I would have gotten my breast augmentation a lot sooner and the experience has been amazing. I recently scheduled an appointment for my special needs daughter with Dr. Jindal so we could get a 2nd opinion on some lumps under her arm. After we discovered these lumps, my doctor referred us to a clinic to have a mammogram and a sonogram. The clinic's report was that it was fluid. I asked for a 2nd opinion, and we were referred to a doctor who did not accept our insurance and then to Dr. Jindal. Our experience was less than satisfactory. He came into the office, asked where we had the sonogram and mammogram done, how old she was, then looked at her file and found the info. He said that the clinic said it was a cyst and if he was to remove it, he would leave about a 10 inch scar and we wouldn't want that. At that point, my daughter's eyes got as big as saucers! He didn't want to even examine the area we were concerned about and left the room. We basically sat there unsure if he was returning or not. He was in the room with us less than 5 minutes. He did say when leaving that if it got red or sore to come back. It will be a cold day before I take her back to that office. No bedside manner or willingness to discuss if possibly any of this fluid should be aspirated to be checked or anything. After his display of lack of caringness or concern, I don't think I would have wanted him to do anything at all. Definite lack of compassion or concern to try to put her at ease. read more

I had two spots of skin cancer on my face. One small one and a large open wound on my nose. Dr. Jindal did the surgery in the office. I can understand the smaller one being preformed in the office but I believe the 4 inch zig zag incision removing the cancer on the tip of my nose, and stretching the skin to cover should have been done in a surgical center with my having twilight anesthesia, as Mohs surgery. I was not understanding on the extent of the procedure or I would have insisted it be done in a different setting. Not only did I have a horrible, unbelievably painful experience, he did not get all of the cancer, and I will probably never have even close of matching nostrils. read more

Let me start off by saying that I was recommended to him by my spanish-speaking mother who got a face lift done by him and spoke so greatly about her experience. So when the time came to look for places to get my breast augmentation, I knew I had to start here- and I AM SO GLAD I DID. I got a breast augmentation done with Dr. Batra on June 19th, 2022, and not only am I blown away by the results but also by the high standard of care that he and his team have given me every step of the way. From the very first consult, Dr. Batra was attentive to all of my questions and concerns, he gave me a good understanding of the CCs that I wanted and eased any worries that I might have had. I want to say that my overall experience with this office went from bad to worse. I originally tried to schedule an appointment online to come in for a basic free consultation (that they advertise). You would think that they would get back to me in a few hours. 4, count 'em, four days later I got a call from a heavily accented lady named Maryann (?) who simply glossed over my complaint that I honestly didn't expect to hear from them again, having waited so long. She was uninterested and hurriedly tried to jam me into a time for consultation. No apology, nothing. Based on the previous Yelps I agreed to come in, against my better instincts. Ok, should have listened to the inside voice. I checked in and filled out paperwork, 12 minutes. 45 minutes after that which was 30 minutes after my appointment time, there was still no motion out of the waiting room. I gave it 10 more minutes. The girls in the front desk area were a flutter of gabbing activity, but it seemed like nothing was getting done. Was the doctor in surgery? Dead on the side of the road? Playing Angry Birds? I couldn't tell, and nobody else could estimate when I would be seen. I had allowed a half hour for the appointment and a little slop for check-in, but I had to roll after being there an hour. But wait, that's not all. I decided to bail out and driving away I was forming an unprofessional opinion of the practice when my phone rings. Its Maryann of course. Apology? No. My fault that I waited unproductively for nearly an hour? Sure it was: I forgot to sign a piece of release paperwork. Apparently, that is what was gumming up the works. Uh huh.
