I cried when he removed the bandage under my chin a week after my procedure because I was just so shocked at how amazing it looked! Originally, I was going to go to a well-known Dr in Beverly Hills who is well known on social media for doing chin lipo, but I had a negative experience with him. He not only was eating his lunch during our virtual consultation, but he also told me I needed a neck lift and that I wasn't a good candidate for chin lipo. Thank goodness I didn't listen! Two months after my procedure and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results Dr. Alavi has given me. 1000/10 recommend!!!

I am writing this not only out of personal necessity but also as a warning to others. Years ago, I…read moreunderwent a breast reduction procedure performed by Dr. Jeffrey Umansky. When I expressed immediate and legitimate concerns about the grossly asymmetrical, misshapen outcome, I was dismissively met with the condescending remark: "Let's remember, they're sisters, not twins." This patronizing statement was clearly meant to deflect responsibility and silence a vulnerable, young patient who had just trusted him with her body. The result was not only physically disfiguring, but emotionally devastating. At the time, I lacked the personal and emotional support to pursue legal recourse. However, with time and reflection, it's become undeniably clear: I was negligently and carelessly operated on, and the trauma I endured has left lasting scars--both literally and psychologically. To be specific, Dr. Umansky's surgical execution resulted in: Sloppy and uneven internal tissue excision Poorly closed incisions, resulting in significant scarring and dog-ear deformities Asymmetrical areolas, with nipples more than an inch off from one another Long-term disfigurement that has made any corrective procedures extremely complex and costly Despite my desperation and embarrassment, I reached out to the office manager shortly after the surgery to request even a partial refund so I could afford reconstructive work elsewhere. My plea was coldly denied and ultimately ignored. The lack of professional accountability shown by both Dr. Umansky and his office was reprehensible. Since then, I have consulted with multiple board-certified plastic surgeons, all of whom confirmed the extensive damage done and emphasized the difficulty of now restoring what was once a healthy, intact chest. One even stated that the tissue had been "butchered"--their words, not mine. I have photographic documentation of both the immediate post-op results and my current condition, which I am prepared to share publicly and with appropriate legal channels if necessary. If the platform allowed, I would upload these images in full to give others the visual proof of what I have suffered due to Dr. Umansky's substandard care. Dr. Umansky, whether your staff chose to shield you from the fallout or not, you should know: your conduct was not only negligent but borders on medical malpractice. Your failure to take responsibility--medically or financially--for the irreversible damage you caused is inexcusable. I gave everything I had to pay for that surgery, and in return, I was left physically distorted and emotionally broken. This message is for the patients who have been silenced, dismissed, or gaslit into thinking they had no right to speak up. I speak now because I have found my voice--and others deserve to find theirs too. Your actions, Dr. Umansky, were not only unprofessional and unethical--they were, and remain, absolutely unforgivable.

After getting fed up with other people's comments about my body, I decided to do elective surgery…read morefor gynecomastia (man boobies). I called around and got a few consultations, but the sales lady at Dr. Brown's office really got me. She sold me on the fact that Dr. Brown was a specialist in gyno and would be my best option. She also sold me on Dr. Brown being "so good" that he didn't need to leave tubes in me after the surgery. This is why it was botched. Other surgeons would have used drainage tubes which would have prevented this. The surgery ended up getting botched and my left nipple looks worse than before. A staph infection built up and eventually exploded outwards, ruining my nipple forever. The good: -Dr. Brown was a decently nice guy and most of his staff was cool. -When my nipple burst, they patched me up for free and quickly. -They offered to try and fix it at their cost. The bad: -They definitely could have acted quicker when the infection became obvious. They started by prescribing me the wrong antibiotics which allowed the infection to swell even more. -They tried to blame the infection on me, suggesting that I did not follow recovery guidelines after a couple of comments I made (this is bull, they were covering for themselves). -Dr. Brown kept gas lighting me on the follow up visits saying "wow, everything looks so good" and ignoring my displeasure at the results. -The NP dropped my valium on the HOSPITAL FLOOR and then MADE ME TAKE IT. Lady, for $9,000 get me another valium! Disgusting. -The emergency hotline for weekends is BS. After my nipple burst, I waited for 6 hours for a call back. Leaking puss and blood the entire time. -Dr. Brown did not shave the surgery site. I'm no surgeon, but I'm pretty sure you are suppose to do that. I'm a hairy guy. HOW WAS HE SUPPOSE TO SEE WHAT HE WAS DOING? I was shocked when I woke up and saw all of my hair was still there. Overall, I deeply regret choosing Dr. Brown as my surgeon. I should have gone with the guy who was gonna use the tubes and not listened to the sales lady. I feel just as self conscious about my body, if not more, than before. $9,000 wasted and I don't think it can be fixed.

How can you even have a surgery without anesthesia?! Of course it should be included in the quote. 4) they are booking out 5 months for just a consult--and you have to pay the consult fee upfront! 5) they are booking out surgeries 6 months so you would really need to plan on booking the surgery immediately at the time of your consult or you'll basically be waiting a year from scheduling a consult to surgery. Fortunately there are other surgeons that actually do drainless tummy tucks and don't charge a consult fee and can fit in consults within a few weeks to allow time to decide on a surgeon and prepare before scheduling the surgery. I went in for a consultation last week and left feeling very uncomfortable. From the start, before…read morethe consultation even began, I was asked to take photos for a simulation without being properly asked or informed, which I declined. During the consultation, I clearly explained what I was looking for. He mentioned under-the-armpit incisions, which interested me, but then quickly insisted that I would need a lift. I explained that I was extremely uncomfortable with a lift due to scarring, but my concerns were dismissed. He spoke very fast, was insistent, and both my support person and I felt lost and talked over. He told me my nipples were "turned down," which I disagreed with, and made unsolicited comments such as women not wanting to "look like a boy," that "guys don't care about scars," and that "you either have scars or you don't have bigger boobs." These comments felt inappropriate and made me feel pressured and insecure rather than supported. Overall, I felt that he did not listen to my goals or respect my boundaries. I booked this consultation specifically because of his advertised experience with endoscopic transaxillary cases and made my preferences very clear, yet I felt pushed toward a procedure I did not want. I would not trust this doctor and would recommend finding a surgeon who truly listens and has experience in the specific approach you're looking for. Additionally after the consultation, I called the office again to clarify whether it would be possible to proceed with an under-the-armpit approach without a lift, since I am comfortable with my breast shape and simply want more volume. He responded that I would "have the same breasts, just bigger," and that I would still have "the same problem." I explained that I do not see my breasts as a problem and that I like them as they are. He then told me that I should find a different doctor.
