I cannot say enough about Dr. Yoo and his absolutely amazing staff. Yes, I may be biased ‍because I worked there for 2 years but I was also given the pleasure to be his patient. When you become a patient of Dr. Yoo, you become part of the SKY family. It may sound cheesy and if you're a patient of his, you've probably heard it before, but each team member makes a point of getting to know you and treat you with the utmost respect, as if family. The amount of time Dr. Yoo spends with you is pretty much unheard of so that right there shows he cares but it's not just that, he is crazy knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. He loves to teach and doesn't mind (my) silly questions when I wanted to learn more. I loved(d) each day of working under him and honestly learned more than could have ever hoped. His techniques are always on point with everything, surgery, injectables and otherwise. I personally had my lips done (with Juvederm filler) a few times and Botox a couple more times as well. Everytime, perfection. He talks you through what he's doing and the clinic assistant is always there to hold your hand. He is gentle and he is kind. You can ask him anything..... ANYTHING!! You will never feel rushed or like you're just a number like many other doctors. Anyone I ever talk to, including my family, I always tell them to go see Dr. Yoo because I truly believe he is the best and trust him completely. Everything is so natural yet makes such a difference. He's truly an artist and takes pride in his work. He wants a beautiful result as much as his patient does and he will never recommend or pressure anything you don't need or want. My review is not based on my experience with Dr. Yoo (I never met him) but based on what I believe is a lack of transparency with consultation practices and office protocols that personally made me feel uncomfortable. Be advised there is $300 consult fee to see Dr. Yoo that they do not disclose during the initial call. This is where I felt misled. The front desk told me I needed to text pictures of myself to a cell phone number and then I was directed to make an appointment with a patient coordinator a week later who is not the nurse or doctor. It was only during that call with a young girl -- after sending personal photos and diving into concerns I was experiencing that I was informed of the consult fee. It was a turn off and I think it's not reasonable for privacy reasons to ask anyone to send personal photos to a phone number without really being forth coming on the fact that there will be a $300 fee for the doctor to see them and to see you. There are may many brilliant plastic surgeons and consultants and attorneys who do not require you pay upfront to meet them. Much like taking care of a legal issue or searching for a financial advisor or an estate planner -- we should have the opportunity to meet a doctor without strings attached. This may not concern you, but this was just my experience. I wish there had been transparency and honest communication immediately about a $300 consultation fee before I sent photos and sensitive information. read more

So disappointed. I had a bump in my nose and twisted cartilage in my tip but my tip was at least at the correct height. My bump is now gone, but now my skin sages where the bump was removed and is so flat that you can visibly see it. In addition, my tip droops. I am hideous! I am so embarrassed by my nose. I wear a mask from the moment I leave my house until I get home because I'm ashamed of my nose. Every time I see myself in the mirror it makes me want to cry. I miss my old nose. I had a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy done about 9 weeks ago by an ENT back home (about 3 hours away). The right side of my throat split back open and when I called my ENT, he said "your'e fine. Don't worry" then hung up the phone. Needless to say, I was quite perturbed with his response. I was in excruciating pain so I ended up going to Student Health Services at SDSU, where the social worker representative proceeded to call 10-12 doctor's offices. All of them were extremely rude and offended that somebody was trying to make a same-day or next-day appointment with a specialist. Dr. Yoo's office, however, was completely the opposite. His fabulous office assistant took the call as if I was her own child in pain. She asked us to hold so she could personally ask Dr. Yoo if he had time to see me in the next 48 hours. She picked up the phone again and relayed his message of genuine concern for my condition. He made time in his completely booked schedule to see a patient he did not even know! His bedside manner is top notch, and he is the friendliest specialist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I wish all doctors were like him! As somebody hoping to go into the medical field in the upcoming years, I can honestly say I aspire to be the type of doctor that Dr. Yoo is. read more

Long overdue review. 2 years ago, we selected Dr Yoo for our teen daughter's rhinoplasty. Dr Yoo is professional, friendly and his bed side manner is exceptional. He answered all of our questions and explained in detail what to expect. The staff and nurses are all amazing as well. Surgery went well and they followed up often during the healing process. We're happy with the results in comparison to prior to the rhinoplasty; however, the end results could've definitely been much improved with better definition in the width and tip area of the nose. read more

Dr. Yoo and his staff is always polite and attentive to your needs. You can ask them thousands of questions and they'll happily answer you. I just got rhinoplasty done with them this Friday and it was super quick. I honestly don't really remember falling asleep. I do remember telling them I was nervous and a little tired because I couldn't sleep the night before. The anesthesiologist said she was giving me a little anxiety medication through the IV but I think it was the anesthesia because by the time I woke up in was in the recovery room and it was all done ! They said I did fantastic and that I would love my new nose. I was in pain the first night due to Dr. Yoo breaking my bone to reconstruct to. Other than that I took my pain medication and antibiotics and feeling much better. I can't wait to take this cast off and see my new nose ! The worse thing about this surgery is not being able to sneeze, or blow your nose. So it's really clogged, I can't smell or taste anything..it's still sore and I'm still bleeding a little. I just hope the stuffiness goes away soon. I've been using Saline nasal spray to clear my nose... that is the only discomforting thing about a rhinoplasty. Oh and I only have very little brusing around my left eye, mostly swelling but not too bad. I would highly recommend coming here for your facial cosmetic needs! :) read more

From the moment I walked in the door, I was very impressed! Dr. Yoo was my third consultation and I am so grateful that I found him because he did an impeccable job on my elective surgery. I made the first consultation appointment with him because I liked the fact that he only does facial plastic surgery. Most of the other experiences I had at other clinics were good, but Dr. Yoo and his staff were excellent. Before scheduling my surgery, I read that Dr. Yoo also works to repair botched jobs. Never having had any type of work done, this gave me a lot of confidence in Dr. Yoo and his staff. When having a plastic surgery procedure done, it is incredibly important to trust the doctor and the staff that will be operating on you, and Dr. Yoo and his staff earned my trust. The second SKY employee that I met, after the receptionist, Ayasha, was Michael, Dr. Yoo's Clinic Supervisor. He was so well versed on my surgery that he was able to answer any questions that I had and walked me thru the entire procedure. Dr. Yoo also sat down with me, of course, and explained every step of the surgery and then went in depth as to what to expect afterwards. Dr. Yoo, Michael, and myself all spent a lot of time analyzing the before and after pictures and discussing how the results would look during the first consultation as well as the pre-op appointment. They made sure that the results would be exactly what I wanted while giving their professional analysis as well. The main things that set Dr. Yoo and SKY Facial Plastic Surgery apart from all of the other places that had been recommended to me by friends and online reviews were: the amount of time they spent making sure I understood the procedure, the fact that they only do facial plastic surgery, and their clinic's ambiance. My second choice place (a far second) did not have their own Operating Room (OR), which made me a little nervous. Dr. Yoo is able to perform his surgeries in his own office, in his own certified OR. Before the surgery, the few people I had told, asked me if I was nervous. I could easily respond that I wasn't simply because of how much Dr. Yoo and Michael had told me and because of how much confidence I had in them. My surgery was about a month ago and the results are fantastic, I couldn't be happier! The work that was done looks incredibly natural and I am so grateful that I had Dr. Yoo do my surgery. The most unprofessional, GREEDY practice I have ever had the displeasure to contact. Paid $150 for a consultation two weeks in advance, then unfortunately had to go into the hospital for emergency surgery. I called them two days before the appointment, while IN THE HOSPITAL, and stated I understood they would not refund the $150. However, when trying to rebook the consultation, they insisted on taking another $150 to hold the appointment. SO UNPROFESSIONAL and if they are so money-hungry, it is not a good sign at all about this practice. They refused to allow me to use the $150 on skin care products....I DO NOT RECOMMEND this practice at all. I have had other consultations with much more highly-respected and well-known plastic surgeons, and no one has tried anything this shady. I am an attorney and I am considering filing a claim in small claims court, on principle!! read more

I have researched for the perfect doctor who I can trust my face with for two years, and after numerous consultations with many doctors all over San Diego, I stopped at Dr. Sirius Yoo. His clinic really stood out to me due to to its professional layout and helpful staff. He also has his own certified operation room, which helps with calming your nerves on the day of the operation due to everything being in one place. When you are certain on your decision about getting the surgery, it is important to know your anesthesiologist and the nurses that help your surgeon with your operation and with the post-surgery check ins. Dr. Yoo's nurses and anesthesiologist are all very professional and know their job really well, and that makes you feel very relaxed because you know that you can put all your trust on them. I did upper and lower blepharoplasty and lower face and neck deep plane face lift. Everything was done with the most exceptional care and precision which resulted in incredible outcomes. Even the stitches that Dr. Yoo had done where perfect and I have personally have seen many stitches so I know good stitches when I see them!! The stitches have also healed with no scarring at all. Dr. Yoo has done a stunning job. I have waited almost a year to write this review in order to be 100% confident. I look at least 10 years younger, but my face still looks really natural and I still look like myself. Everyone has given me compliments on my looks and I feel much more confident. Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call from Amber in Dr. Woo's office that I had won a $495 prize from a survey I had filled out last summer. I was immediately impressed with how nice Amber was on the phone, but I must admit I was a little leery that my "prize" might have strings attached or be a gimmick of some sort. Boy was I wrong! When I called to make an appointment for a free consultation the receptionist was super nice and got me in the following day. Dr. Woo's office is conveniently located in 4SR between Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Santa Fe. I was greeted very warmly and immediately felt comfortable in the beautifully decorated, relaxing waiting area. Michael, Dr. Woo's assistant, was very personable, so nice and took a lot of time to go over my various options available regarding my $495 prize. I had the choice of Botox or an injectable, so I decided to go for the injectable. Dr. Woo came in and introduced himself and I immediately felt he was a very warm and caring physician who took the time to discuss with me what I hoped to achieve by having the injectable. At no time did I feel pressured to spend more money or buy products, which I think says a lot about Dr. Woo and his practice. I had an injectable in the past and it was painful and I bruised horribly afterwards for nearly 7 days. I mentioned my concerns to Dr. Woo and he took the utmost care to make me feel comfortable and I virtually didn't feel a thing. I went home and once the numbing cream wore off I had no pain and zero bruising! I woke up the next day without any visible trace of bruising and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Woo and his wonderful staff. I will definitely go back again to him and I am going to tell all of my friends about him as well. I originally found Dr. Yoo through the Senta Clinic in San Diego. At the time, I had terrible pain resulting from a previous facial fracture. His procedure left no visible scars. My compressed facial nerve was alleviated and my facial symmetry was restored. Dr. Yoo's technique was highly advanced in comparison to my previous surgeries to repair the facial fracture. It's been a couple years now and I'm still pain free. I saw the Dr. recently and it was still a great experience. I was not kept waiting long and his staff was courteous and pleasant. I had a facial trauma as a child, and found out a number of months ago (as an adult) that I had a broken nose and damaged facial bones from it. I was sent to find an ENT from a TMJ specialist. I had a severely (s shaped and mangled) septum that had caused some serious breathing problems my whole life. I had sinus issues that needed medical attention as well. Also, I was self-conscious about the left side of my face appearing smashed from the trauma to my nose. I knew I needed to find a surgeon who could fix my medical issues, and cosmetically reconstruct my nose. I went to interview some surgeons and did some research online. Dr. Yoo had fantastic ratings, a long list of qualifications, and great before and after pictures of his work. When I went to meet him, I instantly knew that he was the surgeon I wanted (and needed). He is known for his outstanding integrity. He is very detailed and thorough. When I went in for surgery, I felt completely at peace and in good hands. Even the woman at the check-in desk was raving about Dr. Yoo and said he was their favorite surgeon there. After surgery I cried from happiness, and kept holding up my hand to feel the air blowing in and out of my nose! Dr. Yoo repaired my medical issues, and gave me a lovely feminine nose that I now feel proud of. I'm still amazed at the repair he did - and I know the other surgeons could not have helped me the way Dr. Yoo did. I feel like a whole person now; this has truly been a life changing experience. I went to SKY for a consultation and was immediately struck by the beautiful spa like setting and friendly staff. The purpose of my visit was to find out alternatives to push back the clock ie: laser, fillers, botox. Well since that clock has been ticking so long, after discussing the options with Dr. Yoo, there really didn't seem like anything short of a lower facelift and neck lift to get the results that I wanted. I had been to three different plastic surery consultations and only Dr. Yoo made me feel calm and confident about the process and I knew that he was "the one". I was also very happy that I wouldn't have be in the hospital for the procedure as the office has it's own operating facility--that's such a plus. Until the procedure, all of my questions (even the ridiculous ones) were answered in detail by either Dr. Yoo or his pleasant staff.
