Wonderful dining experience with our server, Miguel. Del Frisco's takes reservations. Our table was ready. We had a part of five for a birthday. Service was excellent. I chose a German Riesling. We bought a bottle instead of paying by the glass. The swordfish and it was delicious. Brian had the sea bass. The wine pair was perfect. Miguel recommended when asked how to have our fish prepared. This was my son's birthday and the staff celebrated him with a little dessert. Bring ya wallet-pricey. Valet parking or in a lot. Bathrooms were clean. Handicap accessible. Beautiful dining experience....

My daughter wanted lunch at Del Frisco's for her birthday so that's where we ended up. At 11:30 on a Monday we were the only ones there - until about noon. The entire staff was friendly, helpful and efficient and our server, Abigail, was a standout. She did everything possible to make sure we had a great meal. The lunch specials all looked good and 3 of us got the Business Lunch - salad, filet, mashed potatoes and green beans. The other guest got the Wagyu Cheesesteak and really enjoyed that. Abigail brought my daughter a small "birthday" cheesecake and we ordered a (giant) slice of lemon cake for the table. A visit to Del Frisco's isn't complete without that lemon cake ;) as I said in an earlier review, I won't be back for dinner but lunch is always good there.

I love this location. The service is above and beyond. The food is so good (why I'm here often).

My husband and I went to Del Frisco's for his birthday and it also happened to be restaurant week. We both ordered mostly from the restaurant week menu, starting with Caesar salads, then for mains my husband ordered the NY strip and I had the crab cakes. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were also delicious. For sides we had the lobster Mac and cheese, which was sooo rich and creamy (yum!), and the broccolini. Then for desert he got a little chocolate mousse dish and I had a slice of strawberry hibiscus cheesecake. Everything was amazing, including the complementary butter rolls and we had enough for leftovers.

Chanda was our server and we highly enjoyed our experience with her. She was informative and entertaining. We enjoyed our family dinner. All the food was good but we ordered a lot so there was no room for all of it in our tummy's lol. The portions are large and in charge. See you again soon Del Frisco's!!!

Wow! It's definitely what you expect from a good fancy steakhouse! I came with a bunch of coworkers. To start, service was impeccable. In a dark and fancy space that definitely reflected the menu and prices. We started with some amazing drinks. I had the signature tequila old fashioned. It was Smokey and delicious! I then followed it up with a regular old-fashioned. It was superb also. We got several starters for the table. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had! Poor belly was amazing too, as well as a really good crabcake. For dinner I got the surf and turf. It seemed like a small portion, but the taste was outstanding. I had more than I could eat with everything got. For sides, we got the au gratin potatoes, cream, spinach, and lobster mac & cheese The Mac was good, but to me, you grew potatoes or some of the best ever! Overall, this is a very expensive place to go for something special, but I feel it was worth it. With the service, an amazing drinks and delicious food.

After all these years, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse is still our absolute favorite. We've tried just about every steakhouse out there, and nothing compares. We celebrated my husband's birthday with the entire family -- including our one-year-old grandson -- and the experience was perfect from start to finish. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food was spot-on delicious as always. Del Frisco's never disappoints. * Note- he didn't wear the avalanche jersey to Del Frisco's. The signed Adam Foote jersey was a gift from his kids

Can we start with the service here... The day before our reservation they call to confirm and are so excited for your visit, the GM personally emails you and gives his cell phone number for your visit along with all the links to leave reviews for after your visit before you even get there. That screams confidence to me and they never disappoint! Our tradition for Valentines day for so many years is to visit for lunch to miss the crazy crowds. Every year and every visit in between Del Friscos delivers delicious food and a 5 star experience. The Del's salad is an all time favorite (although husband really misses the thick cut sliced bacon vs the bacon chunks) and I dream about the green goddess dressing. Steaks are a given here but I've never had a bad entree even when I've tried other options. They have an impressive wine selection. Ohh and let's not forget about the most delicious lemon cake I the city! So would I recommend... yes, will I be back... count on it. Thank you for yet another perfect dining experience Chris and Ali.

Just when you start to think the art of the elegant steakhouse might be dying, you visit Del Frisco's and are reminded that you're wrong. The attached photos are from several different visits and absolutely don't do the food justice, but I can't help but want to document every trip to this awesome place. First, the ambiance- Del Frisco's is upscale and sophisticated, without being stuffy. The staple white tablecloths, dim lighting, and carved wood interior set the vibe of a well-established and polished restaurant that would be appropriate for a romantic night out, celebratory occasion, or client dinner. The bar area is less formal but still very elegant, and one of my favorite places to sit on a solo-night is the 2-seater high-back booths that provide privacy while still being in eye-line of the action. The service- The staff here is impeccable. They are consistently knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Ethan has been my server multiple times and he's has mastered the art of timing and conversation, ensuring that courses were delivered and cleared seamlessly and that the flow of the meal matched the vibe of the visit. His recommended drink pairings, and new sides, and helping me decide between steak add-ons (it's hard to talk me out of Oscar style) have all expanded what was previously a 20 year long streak of the same order at every steakhouse.... Try the creamed corn, I'm glad I did! Additionally, the AGM, Randy has been present and attentive during every visit and is genuinely interested in ensuring that guests are having a good time. I think it's common for management at establishments like this to be perceived as "above" certain tasks, but seeing her actively assist the staff here makes me think that the team-work is part of while Del Frisco's runs as smoothly as it does. Kudos to the team here, you're a huge part of why we keep coming back! THE FOOD- I won't get too deep into drinks because not everyone partakes, but if you do, PLEASE get a VIP (and have a DD, because you'll want 2 and that will certainly warrant a ride home). The rolls here are arguably some of the best bread service west of the Mississippi... and an element that I personally take seriously at any Italian or Steak-heavy establishment. They are hot, sweet, and you will ask for more. I won't go into great detail about the steaks, because we all know that a place with this kind of reputation is only going to serve S-tier beef, but man... I never leave with a to-go box of protein because there is nothing left, no matter what size I order. The sides, appetizers and sauces are collectively just as important. I love a good "girl dinner" and the "Shaken, Shucked, Fried and Tossed" trio is the perfect combo if you're looking for something indulgent but not as heavy as a steak. Starting with oysters or carpaccio for the table is always a hit and we order them every time we go. The steak toppings are great, and while I almost always gravitate towards an Oscar style or truffle butter, the horseradish and chimichurri are also standout additions if you're looking for something new. GET.THE.LEMON.CAKE. I won't elaborate, but if you don't like it.... You should see a physician. Yeah, you're going to drop some money to come in and enjoy a meal at Del's. In exchange for that, the staff here is going to make sure that you and your group enjoy your visit. Even if it's a once-a-year treat or something to celebrate, everyone should visit once because this place is just unbeatable.

    William S.

My bone-in ribeye was cooked just as I requested. Service was top-notch. My sides were creamed corn and the chateau mashed potatoes. Both were delicious. The noise level was acceptable. My only complaint, and I'm a long-time patron, is that the prices were too high for all items. I realize there is inflation, but...

For food, my wife and I shared the Filet Flight, which included samples of their prime, wagyu, and grass-fed 4 oz filets. Such a fun way to experience the different cuts, and every one of them was excellent. We also started with the Yellowtail Hamachi Sashimi, which was incredibly fresh. We also got the Oak-Grilled Broccolini and Duck Fat Fries, both of which were fantastic sides. There were also so many other side items on the menu that sounded amazing, including the Hand Made Gnocchi, Black Truffle Mac & Cheese, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Whipped Potatoes. Definitely a place you want to come back to and try them all. As a small extra touch for our anniversary, the staff gave us a handwritten card along with a few dessert bites, which was really thoughtful and helped make the night feel even more special. I got grass fed New York and my friend got filet. Hers was slightly under but nothing she couldn't eat. The best thing on the menu... black truffle Mac and cheese!! Wow! The octopus was also tender and had great wood fire flavor. Our server was a bit all over the place and when we needed something, I had to track down someone else. Didn't love that. Decided on A5 because 1) it's got some great appetizers / starters, 2) love the servers there, and 3) was in the mood to chow down on a hunka-chunka serious steak, and for the first time get a tomahawk slab o' beef that I had seen before on the A5 menu. Came in early on a Thursday night (6:15 pm) so the place was losing its happy hour crowd and had not yet been swooped down on by the hip dinner crowd. A great time to go. Could not have been better. Started with their crab and shrimp dip app and Japanese milk bread, both of which are stand-out non-steak items on their menu. Ordered the tomahawk steak which is ridiculously large (over 40 ounces (10 of which is from the large rib bone)) and ridiculously good (and ridiculously expensive . . . as in like over $225), along with an order of asparagus. Loved it all. Of course, we split the steak and had no room for dessert. Brought home probably 10 ounces of meat along with some other leftovers which will give us another night of good at-home eating. Bottom line . . . wonderful experience. Pricey but they made it a true celebration for us and it was well worth it. Go. You'll have a great time there, and if you don't want to blow a bundle and its your first time at A5, check them out at happy hour. It's probably the best deal for the best HH food in Denver.

Backed that up with a solid salad, then moved into a homemade pasta with ragù that had no business being that good. Finished with dessert and walked out wondering why we'd even bothered with Utria in the first place. Here is the thing though... sometimes you need a bad experience to land in the right place. It was hands down the best thing we had and some of the other items we ordered were amazing too. If you're going to order anything here, do the burrata with the focaccia bread. You can thank me later. Next up, we had the carpaccio and crudo with caviar. If I had to choose only one, I would pick the carpaccio but the crudo with caviar is great. Freddie recommended the crudo with caviar and what a wonderful harmony of flavors. These were both standout winners. And the carpaccio meat was incredibly soft. Best carpaccio I've ever had, and I love carpaccio. Last, we had the paglia e fieno (rabbit ragu) and branzino. The branzino was the item I was most excited to try leading to our reservation and it was the item I liked the least. I am a huge branzino fan and order it any place that has it. This was probably my least liked branzino I have had. The olive sauce was just way too strong for this fish. The fish itself was beautiful but I couldn't get past the sauce. I would pass on this, even if you like olives. The rabbit ragu really surprised me and it was my 3rd favorite thing we ordered. I would definitely order that again. We passed on dessert since we were full and nothing sounded too good. We did valet at the hotel next door. I immediately told my friends this was one of the best Denver restaurants we've had. Very cool!! The food was good but not great. For the price, I'd expect something a little better but the beef tenderloin was cooked exactly the way I ordered it (complete with peppercorn crust). It was tender but maybe a bit dryer than I like for a filet. The peppercorn crust was amazing! The Saratoga chips are made in house and they are very good as well. Super crispy with the right amount of salt. We got a history lesson from one of the servers, about 10min worth of backstory about the restaurant and it was almost like dinner and a show. This was by far the worst part of our trip to Denver... be warned. Parking: There is free parking in the back of the building. When we first walked in we were greeted and brought to our reserved tables upstairs. If you decide to try this place, get a reservation and do downstairs. There is so much more to look at downstairs! Instead, we were brought to a backroom that was much cooler(in temp) and had way less to look at... we felt "put into the corner." It was busy, and it appeared they were short staffed. It took a long time for our server to get to us. She was very sweet and I definitely felt for her, she was really trying! However, it took awhile to get our drinks, the complimentary bread came out after our appetizer and house salads... anything complimentary should come out right away. The food: We got the Rocky Mountain oysters and I actually thought they were good! The cocktail sauce is very tomato forward and the "horseradish sauce" was a joke! There was absolutely no flavor and I am convinced it was just sour cream! If you do order these, ask for their ranch- it was dill flavored and delicious! The house salad was good But wet... like I had water on my plate. If you want a Caesar Salad it will cost an extra 7.50!!!!!!!!! Why!? That doesn't make any sense! The complimentary sourdough was good but the whipped butter had no taste at all... we had to sprinkle some salt on it for it to actually taste decent. We got the New York strip 16oz and the Elk steaks. The New York strip was the worst steak we have ever had! It was supposed to be cooked to a medium but was definitely closer to a medium rare. The butter on top did not have any flavor and was pointless. It had a fair amount of fat on it and the crust tasted "ashy" to us. It was expensive so we ate it, but terrible! The mashed potatoes were not mashed well! I had a whole potato in it! The veggies were mushy and overcooked. The elk steaks were actually very good! I would recommend that! The wild rice was brown rice with a few wild rice pieces... and again mushy veggies! The total price for one alcoholic drink, one bottled soda, a half order of Rocky Mountain oysters, the New York strip and elk steaks was over $200 with tip. We went to the restrooms afterwards and they were disgusting and dirty! If we are spending over $200 on a meal it better be great service, food and ambiance! This missed the mark HEAVILY! If you do feel the need to go here, get a table downstairs, make a reservation, get the Rocky Mountain oysters with the dill ranch and the elk steaks.

People either love or hate the 50's decor that Mad Men picked up on decades later. I'm in the former camp and like sitting upstairs most of all. Today, we sat downstairs for the first time. Quiet and cozy with the Rat Pack looking on, the mood was chill, anticipation high. Service is consistently attentive, prompt, and friendly here. Jason greeted us warmly and followed this with soft, warm bread with Anaheim-spiced garlic butter that we could have filled up on and left happy. It's stellar. Drinks arrived quickly: my Great Divide farmhouse ale and a potent White Russian that had mom in silly mode. Mom took her salad to the woodshed. My cup of green Chile corn chowder hit the spot. We were stoked when our server from my last birthday brought our entrees. It felt like home. While the "Sugar Steak" is their calling card and a number of topping combos are available, we went for straight up beef. No regrets. Medium rare? Perfect. Mom's filet mignon torched the one I had at Gallagher's in Las Vegas a week ago--at a much better price. I tried the wagyu coulette (picanha). Unbelievably tender, it's my new Bastien's fave. Side and soup or salad come with your steak--none of the a la carte nickel-and-diming found at most steakhouses nowadays. This sets Bastien's apart. We enjoyed the twice-baked potato and white cheddar mashers. I can vouch for the loaded baked potato and French onion soup, as well. Overall, Bastien's offers unique ambiance, stellar service, solid steaks & value that fancier spots don't have. No BS service fees. It feels like they are here for you, not the other way around. Until next time...

Interesting restaurant shape and layout…read more Overall it was way overpriced for what you get My partner and his bro both got huge steaks- one with their special sauce and I think a ribeye for the second. Both were a huge let down. Overcooked (we asked for medium rare) and not much flavor at all. My steak sandwich was extremely tough and hard to chew. Fries were meh. Our family was visiting from Australia- we got all dressed up to celebrate 2 birthdays- and it was a huge disappointment and we felt bad for taking him there.

The restaurant was not busy and the one waitress was MIA during most of the service. We studied the menu and started with a smoked fish dip. This was unique with aioli, cilantro, pickled jalepenos, lemon and over-the-top plantain chips. I easily could of eaten a huge bowl of the plantain chips, incredible! The sweet corn empanada with aji amarillo, avocado puree, manchego cheese and chimichurri that was light, savory and a nice flavor profile. Our final selection was the Cusco chicken sandwich with sweet plantains, salad, avacado and chimichurri aioli. The plantain was delicious and woke up an ordinary chicken sandwich. It was a great addition. I enjoyed our lunch but feel that I need to try the dinner menu. The mixing of fruit with entrees was a welcome change. To the kitchen at Toro, keep up the innovative menu.

The visit started off rocky but she sure knew how to make it a memorable experience. She is definitely the right person in her position. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing, & the gal (she has short brownish blondish hair & a smile and attitude to remember... she genuinely cared both times) who melted our butter not only this time but last time was such a wonderful cherry on top. We will return to this establishment and definitely recommend.

They timed our pre-ordered apps perfectly and cleared the table right on cue for the tomahawk steaks and sides. Our birthday girl had a great time. We brought a cake, but since it's $5 per person to cut and serve, we boxed it up instead. The restaurant is definitely a vibe perfect for a girls night out and not too far to walk down market street (or uber/lyft) to the bars. For larger groups, the "private" open seating area requires a $2,000 minimum spend with a $1,000 deposit to book. Parking is easy with garage validation next door or valet available. Keep in mind valet will end when the restaurant closes so if you plan to stay out later, let valet know and you can pay so that you have your key to take your car at the end of the night. Super kind guy by the way!

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.

Overall, it left a really good impression and we'd definitely come back again.
