From start of our request for information, through the email communication from Phoenix to their Denver location with ANDREA, her responsiveness and detail showed true professionalism. And her very friendly disposition came through, even in email communications! When we arrived, we were blown away by the attention to detail. The elegant table setting far exceed our expectations and our dedicated staff lead by SCOTT, was impeccable! SCOTT was A TRUE DELIGHT AND ALL OF OUR GUESTS COMMENTED on his amazing service. He went over the wine list in great detail with me and I, having studied wine, was amazed at his varietal knowledge. He helped me select two wines for the table. Our assigned staff were SPOT ON with greeting each of our guests as they arrived to take their drink orders. The FLOW OF THE EVENING WAS PRECISE. I am a stickler for timing and Scott and the staff were spot on with delivery and the flow of our meal. We pre-ordered appetizers and Scott 100% noticed that I underestimated the number of their highly acclaimed calamari for the group. Thankful for this and ordering additional appetizers went smoothly. We allowed our guests to order their meals, salads and deserts and Scott saw to it that the family-style side dishes included everyone's requests, and ensured that we had plenty for all. I cannot speak enough to the detail their experience with private groups brings. A last minute request to Andrea before the start to have a side table so that we could display some photos of my dad's 90 years of accomplishments was truly appreciated. I won't carry on, but the food- well, OUTSTANDING by all accounts. There were literally "oohs and aahs" over each beautifully prepared entree, THE BUTTERED BREAD, MY GOSH, THE BREAD!- and the deserts. I'll give a particular shout-out to the perfectly cooked and seasoned rib-eye, the oysters which my 92 year old mom RAVED about, the spectacular short rib, and the perfection of the Chilean Seabass! I officially designate this restaurant as my go-to place for a little "me time after 5pm solo dining". On a cloudy Thursday night, I went here for a glass of wine at the bar and food for to-to (I had had dinner at my house earlier but wanted a nice drink to finish off the night.) I was comfortable at the bar. The chic, dark ambiance made me feel at ease where somehow I didn't feel alone at all. A few of the bartenders assisted me for what I wanted tonight. Thanks to Ethan; his professionalism coupled with his warm smile and kind demeanor transformed the exchange of the words into something unforgettable. This is what I call "above-and-beyond the call of duty". This kind of exceptional effort is very much appreciated although I shouldn't expect or anticipate it at all times. The wine: After sampling at least three different ones, Treana (Cabernet Sauvignon) by Austin Hope resonated with my palate the most. This is an exquisite bold Cab to put it mildly. As much as I am a big Cab person, some Cabs turn me off with their over-the-top tannins as they are nothing but astringent or sour or acidic. For Treana by Austin Hope, that is nonexistent; it's round and polished. This luxurious wine from Paso Robles is easily $50+ if you buy a bottle at the store and yet the per glass price of $18 at this high-end steak restaurant is quite a bargain. While I was waiting for my to-go food (Wild Roasted Mushrooms at $18 and Wagyu Meatballs at $22 with a complimentary bread), this extraordinary bold red entertained me to the core. After my food was ready, I was in no hurry to take off. I took the time to finish my wonderful wine by engaging all my senses. After all, sipping slowly to meaningfully savor all the flavors and taste is how you should enjoy a good wine. As soon as I got home, I inspected the three food items. They all looked wonderful. I won't eat any of them until tomorrow. I hope they are good (I'm pretty sure they are.) I got to appreciate this restaurant that's right down the street from my house today. read more

Wonderful dining experience with our server, Miguel. Del Frisco's takes reservations. Our table was ready. We had a part of five for a birthday. Service was excellent. I chose a German Riesling. We bought a bottle instead of paying by the glass. The swordfish and it was delicious. Brian had the sea bass. The wine pair was perfect. Miguel recommended when asked how to have our fish prepared. My daughter wanted lunch at Del Frisco's for her birthday so that's where we ended up. At 11:30 on a Monday we were the only ones there - until about noon. The entire staff was friendly, helpful and efficient and our server, Abigail, was a standout. She did everything possible to make sure we had a great meal. The lunch specials all looked good and 3 of us got the Business Lunch - salad, filet, mashed potatoes and green beans. The other guest got the Wagyu Cheesesteak and really enjoyed that. Abigail brought my daughter a small "birthday" cheesecake and we ordered a (giant) slice of lemon cake for the table. A visit to Del Frisco's isn't complete without that lemon cake ;) as I said in an earlier review, I won't be back for dinner but lunch is always good there. read more

My husband and I went to Del Frisco's for his birthday and it also happened to be restaurant week. We both ordered mostly from the restaurant week menu, starting with Caesar salads, then for mains my husband ordered the NY strip and I had the crab cakes. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were also delicious. For sides we had the lobster Mac and cheese, which was sooo rich and creamy (yum!), and the broccolini. Wow! It's definitely what you expect from a good fancy steakhouse! I came with a bunch of coworkers. To start, service was impeccable. In a dark and fancy space that definitely reflected the menu and prices. We started with some amazing drinks. I had the signature tequila old fashioned. It was Smokey and delicious! I then followed it up with a regular old-fashioned. It was superb also. We got several starters for the table. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had! Poor belly was amazing too, as well as a really good crabcake. For dinner I got the surf and turf. It seemed like a small portion, but the taste was outstanding. I had more than I could eat with everything got. For sides, we got the au gratin potatoes, cream, spinach, and lobster mac & cheese The Mac was good, but to me, you grew potatoes or some of the best ever! I walked in without a reservation, grabbed a booth at the bar, and received excellent service. I was in and out in just an hour on a Saturday at 6 p.m.--impressive. Hands down, Del Frisco's has one of my favorite salads in Denver. Fresh salad greens, dried apple and pear, carrots, and candied bacon alongside an avocado ranch; absolutely devine. Pillowy soft sweet rolls. The 16oz strip was surprisingly tender and juicy. Fresh shrimp! Service was wonderful and attentive; they were super organized, the dinner went seamless even with 20+ people in attendance. Servers were personable and very friendly, which is always a plus. The day before our reservation they call to confirm and are so excited for your visit, the GM personally emails you and gives his cell phone number for your visit along with all the links to leave reviews for after your visit before you even get there. That screams confidence to me and they never disappoint! Our tradition for Valentines day for so many years is to visit for lunch to miss the crazy crowds. Every year and every visit in between Del Friscos delivers delicious food and a 5 star experience. The Del's salad is an all time favorite (although husband really misses the thick cut sliced bacon vs the bacon chunks) and I dream about the green goddess dressing. Steaks are a given here but I've never had a bad entree even when I've tried other options. They have an impressive wine selection. Just when you start to think the art of the elegant steakhouse might be dying, you visit Del Frisco's and are reminded that you're wrong. The attached photos are from several different visits and absolutely don't do the food justice, but I can't help but want to document every trip to this awesome place. First, the ambiance- Del Frisco's is upscale and sophisticated, without being stuffy. The staple white tablecloths, dim lighting, and carved wood interior set the vibe of a well-established and polished restaurant that would be appropriate for a romantic night out, celebratory occasion, or client dinner. The bar area is less formal but still very elegant, and one of my favorite places to sit on a solo-night is the 2-seater high-back booths that provide privacy while still being in eye-line of the action. The service- The staff here is impeccable. They are consistently knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Ethan has been my server multiple times and he's has mastered the art of timing and conversation, ensuring that courses were delivered and cleared seamlessly and that the flow of the meal matched the vibe of the visit. His recommended drink pairings, and new sides, and helping me decide between steak add-ons (it's hard to talk me out of Oscar style) have all expanded what was previously a 20 year long streak of the same order at every steakhouse.... Try the creamed corn, I'm glad I did! Additionally, the AGM, Randy has been present and attentive during every visit and is genuinely interested in ensuring that guests are having a good time. I think it's common for management at establishments like this to be perceived as "above" certain tasks, but seeing her actively assist the staff here makes me think that the team-work is part of while Del Frisco's runs as smoothly as it does. Kudos to the team here, you're a huge part of why we keep coming back! THE FOOD- I won't get too deep into drinks because not everyone partakes, but if you do, PLEASE get a VIP (and have a DD, because you'll want 2 and that will certainly warrant a ride home). The rolls here are arguably some of the best bread service west of the Mississippi... and an element that I personally take seriously at any Italian or Steak-heavy establishment. They are hot, sweet, and you will ask for more. I won't go into great detail about the steaks, because we all know that a place with this kind of reputation is only going to serve S-tier beef, but man... I never leave with a to-go box of protein because there is nothing left, no matter what size I order. The sides, appetizers and sauces are collectively just as important. I love a good "girl dinner" and the "Shaken, Shucked, Fried and Tossed" trio is the perfect combo if you're looking for something indulgent but not as heavy as a steak. Starting with oysters or carpaccio for the table is always a hit and we order them every time we go. The steak toppings are great, and while I almost always gravitate towards an Oscar style or truffle butter, the horseradish and chimichurri are also standout additions if you're looking for something new. GET.THE.LEMON.CAKE. I won't elaborate, but if you don't like it.... You should see a physician. Yeah, you're going to drop some money to come in and enjoy a meal at Del's. In exchange for that, the staff here is going to make sure that you and your group enjoy your visit. Service here was terrible, and mean terrible with a capital T. The waitress was aloof and unfriendly. I gave her my drink order, but it never came. I ate my entire dinner with nothing but the water that was on the table. After I was finished with my meal she casually came up to me and asked if I ever got my drink, I looked at her with a shocked look and said no. she said she gave it to the bar but it was never made. My food consisted of a petite fillet mignon. that has so much black pepper encrusted on it, that the pepper is all I could taste, I had to scrape a thick black layer off before I could even taste the meat! The mashed potatoes were cold and the asparagus were hard (the meager few that I got). For desert I had a "cheesecake" but it didnt look or taste anything like a cheesecake, It had the consistency of old hard Jello. The only good part of the entire meal was the salad. It's been 2 years since I visited Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse. I made a reservation thru OpenTable at Thanksgiving. When I arrived at 7pm, they were full of customers. The hostess said my designated table for two was not going to be available, so I was seated at a 4 people wraparound baquette. It was interesting to note that other diners kept looking me on how I scored the large table. For this over-the-top experience, I started with an Old Fashioned cocktail made with Bulleit bourbon. A strong and proper drink. I got the King Crab Rainbow Roll for an appetizer. It had king crab, salmon and ahi tuna with a spicy sauce. One of the staff persons brought a tray of hot crunchy dinner rolls. From prior experience I resisted eating it quickly. Next was a classic Caesar salad paired with a glass of Italian white wine from Fruili-Venezia. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye with King Crab meat & Black Truffle butter on top for a substantial upcharge . I asked my server, Lucas J what he recommended for red wine to accompany the ribeye. I asked if the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon was better or the more expensive Chateau Lascombes French Bordeaux. He said the French wine and he was spot-on. I took my time and ate the whole filet. I only had 2 pieces of dinner rolls. Dessert was much lighter. Berries & Cream with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries with sweet whipped cream. Lucas gave me flute of prosecco. I did a corporate lunch event here a few weeks ago, and cannot say enough good things about the venue, the staff, and the food. We were in the Colorado Room, and Nicole helped ensure that our event ran smoothly. She took care in getting our custom menus created and event organized ahead of time, and Kimberly provided absolutely impeccable service throughout. The food was SO good. Our guests all commented on how much they enjoyed everything. The GM came out at the end to make sure that we were happy with our experience, which was white glove from start to finish. I ordered the porkchop. It was served to my bloody raw. Not 'I'm sensitive towards slightly pink pork' raw... but thrown on a pan, seared for 30 secs each side only RAW. It was disgusting. I can't even undersell how raw this was. Luckily its giggle made me look before putting a piece in my mouth. The waiters response: oh, our bad, took it away and gave it back to me 10 mins after my party started eating recooked and dry. This would not be so embarrassing except for the prices charged. Anyplace acting like a high-end steak place and charging those prices should be embarrassed enough at that occurrence to have a manager come out, or provide a free drink while you're waiting... or something that says: "this is SO unlike us... we know you're spending a lot of money and we hold ourselves accountable for this awful product". We thought the 8 ounce tenderloin steaks were fabulous. However, the baked potato and Caesar salad were disappointing. The Caesar salad didn't have a very tangy dressing and seemed like it was made eight hours previously. The baked potato was the size of a small football and was not cooked through in the middle. The Service was attentive for the most part. We did like the ambience in that we sat in the area of the old cigar room. That may not sound great, but it is a secretly quiet spot on the inside of the restaurant. The cigar room is long gone. read more

I dined here in late May. Per usual, when I head off to an adventure out of state, I dined out at a nice restaurant in the Denver area. I've been wanting to try Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse for a while. First off, they have their own parking lot and valet service. The front entrance is within reasonable walking distance from the parking lot. As you enter the restaurant, you will see the hostess station in front of you and you will notice that the lighting is dim. The hostess was friendly and acknowledged my birthday. She also wished me a happy birthday. I don't believe that my waiter did this. However, nice gesture on behalf of the hostess and Del Frisco's. I had multiple wait staff for dining on that evening. They brought me fresh dinner rolls which are heavenly. Be careful not to overindulge on the rolls so that you can save room for your meal. I ordered a salad which was great, their pork chop and two sides. I can't think of the sides that I ordered but overall they were good. I was told my wait staff that Del Frisco's is known for their steaks. Just know that they offer other menu items besides steaks. They have seafood, lamp chops and chicken on their menu as well. Pork chop was good but not great. I've had better. For dessert, they offered me a small slice of cheesecake that's featured as a birthday dessert. It wasn't bad at all. What made my experience less than ideal is when the waiter brought me back my receipt after charging my card. It came across as he was tossing the bill of sale and receipt on the table then immediately walking away without proper closure. He said nothing to me. If that was me, I would've said something like, "Thank you for dining with us this evening sir. It's been a pleasure. We hope to see you again." What threw me off about my waiter (head waiter out of my servers that evening) this evening is that he was overall easy to talk to, light hearted, offered advice on menu options, and provided good service. He didn't bookend the interaction with me amicably and for that I'm giving 3 stars rather than 4+. I felt it was odd that prior to paying my bill, he offered to sign me up for a credit card or similar financial offer. I politely declined. Afterwards, he took my credit card along with bill to close it out. Again, the ending was poor. I'm in no hurry to return to Del Frisco's. Food was good but not great and the service could definitely use improvement. Management, please take note that it's not all about the food. It is totally different!! My partner and I split the Surf and Turf dinner. The dinner included a Crab Cake that was the size of a 50 cent piece, a jumbo shrimp turned out to be the size of a cocktail shrimp a filet was the size of a Kid's McDonald's hamburger. The two of us shared the side of whipped potatoes which was as much as two tablespoons for both of us. They didn't offer a Cobb Salad but the waitress brought the next best thing. A salad with basically the same ingredients...almost. My Granddaughter said her Roasted Chicken was good. The lemon cake was almost as good as it used to be. The Rose' wine was delicious, at that point! Everything was highly seasoned. Proportionately, the food wasn't worth the price we paid! We won't go back. I cannot get it off my mind!! read more

We wanted to order wine for our entrees but nobody came back to us until we got our cocktails which didn't occur until right before getting our entrees. My husband went out to dinner with some friends and offered to bring back something for me. I looked over the menu and was interested in the lobster macaroni and cheese. I was asleep when my husband brought it home, so I wasn't able to enjoy it that night. No big deal. I decided to heat it up for lunch today. A fantastic treat like lobster mac and cheese for lunch is sure to be comforting and delightful. I was wrong. It was insanely salty. I thought maybe I could ignore the saltiness. Perhaps it wasn't the entire dish. Sadly, despite tasting from different spots and stiring up the dish some more in a bowl, it was still way too salty. I even added a splash of fresh lemon and a touch of lemon zest since it's a seafood dish, and acids can help with excessive saltiness. Since it was already ruined, it couldn't hurt trying, right? Didn't help. I tried adding melted, unsalted butter because fat can absorb salt and help the taste... it was still totally inedible despite the pleasant lemon that stared to brighten it up . It looked so good and I couldn't enjoy it. It was painfully salty. That was a $26 dish that was a total waste. There wasn't even much lobster in it. The pasta was not aldente from the first bite. It was just all wrong. And since I'm clearly not at the restaurant, I can't exactly send it back for something else. That's just sad. Taste the food before deeming it fit to serve. read more

Came here tonight for dessert and drinks. We came here all the time precovid to sit at the bar for dessert and drinks and this was our first time back. Everything was the same in the best way. Ordered a glass of wine and butter cake. Butter cake is amazing and a good size portion. We easily split this. Husband was sad the bread pudding was no longer on the menu. Actually 5++ stars. We were celebrating 55 years of wedded bliss and thought that Del Frisco's would make for a great evening and it didn't disappoint. We hadn't been to Del's in a few years and it was great to return. The steakhouse classic dark wood interior is very welcoming and the menu had all of the steakhouse essentials. My wife had the filet and she was pleased that it was perfect in taste and temperature. I went with their surf and turf version which was better than anticipated: three small filets each topped with a different piece of seafood, lobster, giant shrimp and mini crab cake. Delicious and a bigger portion than I anticipated. The crab cakes and side dishes were excellent and our server was very pleasant and professional. It was a very pleasant evening. read more

Bread is now $3 for when you ask for a second batch (I've been coming here for at least 7 years and it's never been this way). Between five people, we split 3 sides in addition to everyone getting their own entree. We ordered either medium-rare or medium 16oz prime ribs and the medium-rare pieces were a little too medium as opposed to what we ordered. The sides portion seems to have shrunk a little bit because they always serve everyone a portion of the side when they come out and then we have maybe 1/3 of the side dish left for seconds. This time, they served out exactly 5 portions of the mac and cheese and the broccolini side dishes. We did say we were celebrating a graduation but they didn't offer us anything, such as a comped dessert, as they've done in the past. Overall, a lot of things have changed, portion size, attentiveness to the reason people are coming, not as great of an experience as all the times in the past that we've come. My medium steak was done well, but there was a skewer in it they forgot to take out before I got served, but still good. The steak size does seem to be smaller than past times as well. Not sure what has changed recently, if anything, but definitely different than all our past visits. read more
