I've been searching for places in the city to get good quality crystals and crystal bracelets specifically. This place is amazing! Not only do they have a great selection of crystals in the form of bracelets, necklaces, rings, and earrings, but they also have a nice collection of crystal towers, tumbled crystals, incense, and more. The ladies who run the shop are some of the sweetest people you'll meet, you can immediately tell that every one of their pieces (all of the bracelets are handmade!) is made with so much love, light, and positive energy. I love this store! I got a Heart Chakra Tibetan healing bowl here this weekend. I also picked up some Carnelian Stones and jewelry to help open my Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras in order to help me manifest and take actions to move into my higher goals and dreams. Everything she sells in here is so special. If you're not into any of that, the jewelry is pretty (or handsome) and there are lots of books, scarves, bells, bowls, stones, banners, incense, oils and tons of funky and fun stuff in this shop. We were in the market for wedding bands, and needed to get them on very short notice. We went to a few places in downtown SF, but everything felt either overpriced or not at the quality we wanted. We'd heard some decent things about Kay Jewelers at the Westfield Mall, and hopped over there. Unfortunately, we had a pretty terrible experience with a male salesman who was more interested in making money vs. actually helping us out (not to mention they didn't have our size readily available). So we took a chance on Deki Jewels based on their Yelp review, and it was the best decision we ever made. The lady who helped us out was incredible kind, patient, and didn't force us into anything. She also offered some more modern takes on wedding bands, which is what we were looking for, and went with the titanium rings which were simple and clean, and had just that little bit of edge we were looking for. She never pressured us either way, and in the end we settled on two matching rings for my partner and I that were perfect and very affordable. She was even kind enough to give us a small discount without us even asking for it. All in all a wonderful experience, and we helped support a local small business owned by a very kind, humble, and warm woman who's been selling in the neighborhood for decades. I've been a long time customer for many years. In fact I remember when Deki would sell her crafts on the various stoops and door ways on Castro St, and her daughters were just little girls. Deki has a large selection of Tibetian Handicrafts, clothing and Jewelry. She is also one of the coolest and down to earth people in an area known for shallowness and undeserved egos. Deki is wealth of information, anytime I venture there I almost never leave empty handed, be it a jewel or bit of insight in to spirituality. Please stop in and make a purchase, stores like this are a rare treasure and fine familiy busineses that provide exceptional customer service are even rarer, Deki accomplishes both with ease. I spotted this little silver jewelry store on my way to Given last night (it is close to Castro St.) and the wall hangings looked interesting from a distance. Surprisingly, it was not listed in Yelp. I didn't have time to go inside but from the outside it looks like it's worth a visit. I prefer silver to gold jewelry. I read that they carry pashimas, rugs, antiques, gem stones from Tibet, India and Nepal. Update: I finally went inside the store and I like how they have a wide variety of reasonably priced silver jewelry. They have om jewelry and also some books and Hindu god/goddess statues. I bought a little Ganesh pendant for $5 and Indian looking sterling silver earrings with the little dangly balls that I like for $18. There is truly something here for everyone! Whether you are spiritually inclined towards one faith or another, or even towards none at all. . . No matter who behind the counter may greet you on any particular day, I am 100% sure that you will be treated with a sincerity not found in many other places. Finally stopped in after passing by many times on the way to and from dining at Cafe La Taza next door, and my visit was delightful. Met the owner Deki (she pronounces it Dee-Key), who greeted my warmly and invited me to browse as long as I like, and told me that if I was looking for something in particular to let her know because she stores a ton of different items - especially pendants. I ended up purchasing a beautiful silver hamsa pendant with an opal eye center for $25 with tax. Deki also gave me a punch card - one punch every time you spend $20 or more. After 5 stamps, receive $10 off any purchase over $20. Pretty good deal! I'll be sure to come back for Christmas shopping - there are a ton of accessories here from jewelry to beautiful shawls.
