My lovely wife and I were looking for some unique places to find jewelry and found this cute place in yelp. The owner Victoria was so kind and helpful and we found the most insanely amazing one of kind pieces. This is now our new favorite place to spurge in jewelry. 100% recommend

I love artisanal jewelry. I have a lot of experience hunting for high-quality, high-craftsmanship pieces that are designed with innovative, bar-raising aesthetics. Hi Ho Silver on Fillmore is a place that consistently exceeds my expectations as a customer and aficionado of jewelry. It's the best! The owner, Victoria, has developed relationships with jewelry artists all across Mexico, Bali, the United States, and probably other places. These geographic places stand out for me personally because several years ago, before Hi Ho Silver had a storefront, I bought a contemporary Mexican silver ring for my mother at one of their trunk shows at the Golden Gate Park community center. I love that Taxco is more than a style name or geographic designation here; Victoria and her staff literally know their artists. I'm currently in love with the work of Annabel Humber, Siggy Pineda, Momo Mordant, and the late Lou Guerin, all of whose jewelry I first encountered at Hi Ho Silver. Over the years, I've come to relish the silver learning opportunities I experience from conversations with Victoria - almost as much as I relish the jewelry itself! I do a lot of my holiday and birthday shopping at Hi Ho Silver, and thus I've been eager and able to spread my affection for this unique place. When I got on their email list, I was pleased to receive only a few high-quality missives every year, announcing excellent sales, or Victoria's return from a buying trip, laden with new treasures. I've appreciated the staff's above-and-beyond help in making size exchanges, taking special orders, and coordinating the rare repair. (When you wear jewelry, rather than just look at it in a museum case or something, you're going to cause a little wear and tear, and nobody at Hi Ho Silver has ever made me feel badly about this.) The space itself is welcoming, the staff friendly and inviting, and they have an open-drawer policy, so I will come in, sit on the wood bench, and open every single drawer (that's where a lot of the jewelry resides, in about ten long, wide, shallow drawers). They're dog-friendly, people-friendly, and artisan-friendly. I'm not the only person who loves to grab a cold nosh at Fraîche before settling in for a nice long shop at Hi Ho Silver. They've got earrings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces, chains, rings, brooches, and other adornments, as well as a few small Sterling silver baby and home items. Victoria also carries a few lovely textiles and woven baskets, and some accessory items made of wood, horn, bone, and stone. One of my absolute favorite stops (and shops) in all of San Francisco! Come to Fillmore, and start your shopping trip HERE.

Definitely one of THE BEST silver shops I've ever been to. Being Native American my family and I wear a lot of silver, but almost all our jewelry is native-made from our local pow-wows. I've never seen jewelry shops that could match the quality and price points of my native-made jewelry until I came here! Classic, timeless designs and completely reasonable prices. Not to mention the variety! You walk in thinking what you see is what they have, to pleasantly find out that each of the drawers on each cabinet can be pulled out for browsing and each are packed full. One other bonus for me here is that they sell beautiful bracelets for those with very small wrists. I've bought several (ranging from about $40-$70) and I wear them everyday. All-in-all this is my go-to spot for jewelry in the city!

He was incredibly patient and brought out so many different options for me to try so I could really figure out what I loved. We actually weren't planning on purchasing a ring that day, but we ended up finding one that we completely fell in love with and decided to pull the trigger! The entire experience was easy, fun, and we never felt pressured or rushed. It was truly such a pleasure working with him, and I'm so happy we were paired with Caz for such a special purchase. I brought several pieces of jewelry that belonged to my deceased parents to Derco for repair. These items are irreplaceable to me--they are among the only physical things I have left from my parents--and I made their sentimental importance very clear throughout this process. I was initially told I would receive an update within four weeks. Seven weeks passed with no communication. I called the store and was assured someone would follow up with me by the next day. No one did. I then emailed both the owner, Jack Jack Der Abrahamian, and my sales associate, George Contreras, directly. Another week passed without a response. At that point, I had lost confidence in Derco and informed them that I no longer wanted the repairs completed. I told them I would come to the store the following day to retrieve my jewelry. I was assured my items would be ready for me. When I arrived, they could not locate them. Let that sink in: after weeks of unanswered communication, I went in person to retrieve irreplaceable jewelry belonging to my deceased parents, and the store could not tell me where it was. I was eventually told that the pieces had been located but were "in transit" and that I would have them by the end of the following day. They did not arrive. I was then assured that once the items arrived, Derco would have them delivered directly to my home. The scheduled delivery date came and I heard nothing. When I called the store myself, the staff seemed surprised that I was expecting a delivery at all. Even more astonishingly, despite my having provided my contact and delivery information repeatedly--approximately seven times across phone calls and email exchanges--they apparently did not know where the jewelry was supposed to be delivered or when I could expect to receive it. At every stage of this ordeal, I reiterated the same thing: these pieces belonged to my deceased parents and are profoundly important to me. That context somehow resulted in neither urgency, careful communication, nor even basic follow-through. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. What is unacceptable is a repeated pattern of missed commitments, unanswered messages, conflicting information, inability to locate a customer's property, and the customer having to chase the business at every stage simply to find out where their belongings are. For a business entrusted with valuable--and often deeply sentimental--property, I find this level of service extraordinarily troubling. Jack and George had multiple opportunities to take ownership of this situation and communicate with me appropriately. They did not. If you are considering entrusting Derco Jewelers with something valuable or irreplaceable, I strongly encourage you to consider my experience before doing so. If you value your belongings, your time, and basic communication from a business holding your property, I would take your business elsewhere. What should have been a straightforward jewelry repair became weeks of unnecessary anxiety over whether I would even get the last remaining pieces I have from my parents back. Shame on Derco Jewelers for allowing it to reach this point.

We also went back and forth over email, more times than I can count, to get every detail just right. I was initially a little hesitant because I wanted a fairly classic three-stone ring, and La Bijouterie specializes in custom work, but I had very specific preferences around proportions, and we wanted an experience that felt enjoyable and genuinely customer-focused. La Bijouterie was exactly what we were looking for, with reasonable pricing that kept us within our desired budget. They don't have any prices for their permanent bracelets so I had no idea what to expect but I knew I wanted 14k gold, and I was most interested in a Cuban chain. This could have been a case of miscommunication coupled with the fact I don't like confrontation, but when I asked about the price I swore I was told ~$250. That seemed reasonable to me, I've been looking into Cuban chains and that was the price point I was seeing for about that size in 14k. When it came to checkout the price was $2,450 for just the permanent bracelet.....I was in a rush and again, don't love confrontation, so I paid and left but I feel like I seriously over paid for this tiny light weight chain. I was planning on getting more bracelets and jewelry plus some new piercings but after this I don't know if I trust their prices. I think I may use them to find cool jewelers, but purchase elsewhere. It's my fault I didn't double check the price, I take ownership in that. I would just caution against the permanent jewelry, at least learn from my mistake and get the price in writing not just verbally. Update: wow that was a super fast response! They reached out to me after seeing my review. Thank you so much Nadia for your call. I can tell you all really care about your customers. Looking forward to coming back this weekend. Additional side notes, I really appreciate the care they put into fitting the jewelry for customers. I've also have had things shipped to me and their packaging is lovely with nice presentation. Even their shipping box feels lux. Those little details and the quick response to my post has brought me back around and I will absolutely be a repeat customer. Can't wait to get more unique jewelry and piercings with friends! :)

We wanted to pay to get it repaired by Brilliant Earth, since they did a great job refurbishing it to begin with. My wife called on 8/5/26 and was told that we can send it in still fused to a wedding band that was not purchased through Brilliant Earth. We offered to have them separated if it would be an issue. Again, they said this won't be a problem. We were provided the shipping label which I appreciated. We were told that we would hear back within 2-3 business days of Brilliant Earth receiving it. We shipped it on 8/10/26 and it was received 8/12/26. After a week (8/18/26) I had to call as we had not received any updates. I was given the run around on why we had not been contacted, and was told someone will call us in 24-48 hours. No one called, and I once again had to call back only to be told that I had to schedule a call with someone from their repair department and that there was confusion on the wedding band that the engagement ring was fused to. Then I finally got a call on 8/25/26 saying they couldn't repair it because it was fused to a wedding band not bought from Brilliant Earth. Our options were for them to send it back and look elsewhere for repairs or send it back, unfuse them, and send it back to Brilliant Earth. They also asked if they wanted me to have the ring shipped back now or wait for our scheduled call with the repair person. I asked to have it shipped back and that we would look elsewhere. I then had to call two days later as I was not provided a tracking number. All in all the customer service was horrible and they had my wife's ring for about 2 weeks and Wouldn't fix it. Such a shame as everything went so smoothly when i purchased the ring. They lost business on two fronts, not repairing the ring, and I will not be buying from them ever again.

The story behind my best friends gift: She and I have known each other since we were 5 years old, and in high school, we always used to swap rings with one another - me with my grandmother's aquamarine, and her with her grandmother's diamond ring. We loved to swap rings and have joked for most of our lives about our finger sizes being the same. When I got engaged, she tried my ring on and said, "it doesn't quuuuuite fit" in which we laughed because I retorted with, "Well. It shouldn't. It's mine!" When she got engaged last summer, I knew I wanted to make something special for her and I knew an aquamarine had to be involved. I went to No. 3 in search of something, but I didn't know what. I spotted a gold bracelet made my Melissa Scoppa that showed the phases of the moon on one side and had diamond stars on the other. After chatting with Lily for a bit about the bracelet, she suggested I could swap out the diamond for an aquamarine on the piece of the bracelet that was our birth moon phase - me, with a waning crescent and hers with a waxing gibbous. Genius! We decided to go forward with it, and had two beautiful bracelets made by Melissa with a little wink to our life long friendship. I couldn't be more pleased with the result, and neither could my friend. I love No. 3 so much because whoever you work with truly cares about what you're making and truly cares about beautiful jewelry. I could not recommend No. 3 enough for any sort of gift you had in mind, whether it is for an engagement ring, or just a gift to say I love you to someone. Thank you Lily and No. 3!!

I assumed it was a one-off defect, so I ordered a replacement. The second pair fell out too, within 10 minutes of putting it on, during a short car ride to my destination. Because this happened with two separate earrings, I asked the store to allow me to return the remaining earring in my possession, since it would be of no use to me without the second earring. The store declined, citing an inability to inspect the earring(s) that fell off (which, ironically, I'd have gladly provided if they hadn't both failed and fallen off so quickly). I'd expect better quality from an in-house line, and importantly, better customer service when a clear pattern is reported.
