The good: affordable (for lash extensions at least, they are definitely still a pricey commitment no matter what). My lash artist, Dovi, is SO good. My lashes look amazing every time. She's so professional and really seems like she enjoys her work. Such a sweetheart. The bad: they send you five texts on random days to remind you of your appointment. SO ANNOYING. The confirmation email is just fine, no need to annoy your potential customers before even arriving at the studio. I feel like my lashes don't last as long as they used to with my salon concepts girl. I have to come in every 2 weeks instead of every 3-4 weeks like I did with my other girl. Front desk lady told me to try and reschedule next week but didn't know when "Jen" would show up, this was my first time coming here and I told her I would be happy with anyone and she told me "no, you need to reschedule". I've had a lash lift at least four times now (all through Groupon, mind you). I've never had a reaction like this before. During the session, my now swollen eye was watering as well as burning. I told her it was burning, and she asked if I wanted to stop, in which of course I said no (we were already half-way through). She was also very fidgety and disrupt-full during the experience. I'm super flinchy so as you could imagine it wasn't enjoyable to say the least. She was very aggressive and didn't explain what she was doing. She also had no skills in communicating, not even bothering to ask me what brought me in, or what I was doing this weekend. However, she did ask her co-worker what she was doing, in which I thought she was talking to me, so I almost responded (awkward). Furthermore, she continued to rummage through her things and roll around in her chair. My shoulder and jaw were tense the entire time. I've never had an experience like that; I should be almost falling asleep, not on edge. I understand she needs to develop clientele and get experience, but wow, she should not be doing lashes; her personality is way too high-strung and anxious imo. Imagine my surprise when she said not to worry, she's done lash lifts many times. I continued to battle in my head the entire time if I was even going to leave gratuity. If I have good service, I'll give 20-25%. Furthermore, I'm not sure why she was the one who checked me out, asking me if I would like to leave gratuity. That puts clients in a very uncomfortable position. Why isn't the receptionist checking me out and asking me that? I left $5, because I felt super awkward leaving nothing. The worst part- my right eyelid was partially burned off, I had to apply Neosporin for a week. This entire experience reflects really badly on Deka Lash and makes the corporation seem unprofessional. This was my first time getting lash extensions. My friend referred me and told me about a Groupon. Figured why not since I'm saving money with the Groupon. The store was easy to find and clean. All the staff were friendly and professional. Krista was so funny, sweet, and did an amazing job. She showed me a chart of different styles and through her expertise helped me picked what's best for me. I didn't want too dramatic of a look, but more natural for everyday. As if I had great mascara on. I loved it! It took about 2 hours.... think I might have dozed off for part of it. My technician was great... as a trainee... Really frustrated with this service. I booked a Groupon and never schedule with Deka lash again. The first time I knew my technicians name was when I received the review survey, she never introduced herself. She was the only person in the store and there was no music or anything beyond what I could hear banging in her ears. When purchasing this on Groupon it said I had to call to book. I called and they scheduled me no issues. I had no idea I was booked with a trainee, let alone a solo trainee. I expected this to last 90m like the website says for a classic extension. This took over two hours. No notice until I was finished and looked at the freaking time. I got these for a five day vacation. They looked like had been on for a week within the hour and barely lasted three days. I was sketched at first because I could tell she was taking photos by the shadow and tapping on her phone. She later said "one last photo" when my eyes were in so much pain that she needed to stop. Remember, this was at the end of 120m when it should have been 90m. When checking out I was finally notified that it was a training session. I went to pay and she had to call her manager and figure out what to do because she almost double charged me since it took twice as long... it ended up being $40. she said I could pay and save my Groupon for next time since it was cheaper as a training session but I just used my Groupon because I'll never be back there. I also wore a mask until I realized she was breathing directly into my mask from above, she wasn't wearing one. I get it, her glasses would fog but it was gross. In total- I don't blame the technician at all which is why I removed her name from this. She did her best and NEVER should have been training entirely alone. Especially when fucking with someone's eyes. I fault the company and the horrible manager that clearly needs to be on top of things better. read more

Had a great experience trying Deka Lash for the first time today for a lash lift and tint. Erin did a great job and was very patient and deliberate with the process. I plan to go back and see her again. I'm really pleased with the results! The reason for 4 stars has to do with the fact that for the majorly of my appointment (which is generally a good time to relax), there was someone in the back having a very long phone conversation. Like, we heard every word. Too bad that interfered with what would have been a relaxing part of my day. It's unfortunate that a) the break space is not more private or b) this individual didn't just take the call from their car. Bummer. But it seems that management is responsive give. When I called to set up an appointment they said they are out of product for lash lifts and it's not their problem and I can reach out to Groupon. Why are you selling Groupons for services you don't provide? I have to brush my lashes 5 times a day. I did true express classic. I tried to call the store but got customer service on the phone. The customer on the phone told me I can't talk to the store, I have to go there if I have any concern. After 3 days, my lashes started clump together, also pretty thick clue meaning they are applying it too much. As of today it is starting coming off and I looked freaking ridiculous. The technician was nice and professional. I follow all do and don't. I didn't get my lash wet for 72 hours, brush it daily. I already make an appt to a different place to fix my lashes as of tomorrow. I want my money back so I called customer service. I have been to Deka Lash twice now, once for my full set and again for a fill- a whopping 3.5 weeks later! I'm so impressed- I'm wearing very little makeup because I wake up looking pretty glamorous.. it's been a huge time saver for a busy mom like me! Lexis took great care of me both times. The location is easy with great parking. The studio is clean and bright, with comfortable chaise lounge style chairs, in an open setting with tasteful space dividers. I was able to choose the style of lash application that I desired, and with Lexis' recommendation we customized the curl and shape of the lash line. This is my 4th full set of lashes in my lifetime, and it was an excellent experience, I have received so many compliments and people tell me they look super believable and pretty. I have seen a lot of "spider lashes" around and it's not a classy look. ;) Other pros: -The new adhesive is feeling great and I have had great lash retention. (Anything past 2 weeks is phenomenal, and I was going on 4 weeks before my fill) I was a little sensitive to the first adhesive but knowing this, Lexis recommended the "sensitive eyes" adhesive- it's perfect. -Super affordable, with major discounts on a monthly or bi-monthly reoccurring direct payment. -Referral discounts and bonuses Cons: -No receptionist, so you may wait to check in, and you check out with your technician directly on the studio's iPad. -Credit card is needed to book your appointment. Deka Lash Knollwood locations is complete trash. The lash tech Sierra Mosley acted rude about the Groupon my sister purchased for me for Mother's Day. Went through all the prep and told me my eyelashes are too short for lash extensions... I have never heard of that. Prior to Covid I had my lashes done multiple times, even with mega lashes which are 3 to 1 lashes, so that seemed pretty weird. She made me redeem the Groupon to show her prior to the appointment and then cancelled my appointment with a total of $89. So she charged me as well! Do not go here! read more

The WORST customer Service ever! Earlier this month I seen a Master Lash Artist. I gave the young lady cash which included the tip and the additional fee for being a Mast lash artist. They took my cash and charged my card the same fee. I talked to the manager and told th my card should not have been charged since I gave it in cash. They came back and said they couldn't prove I gave cash & that there employee is trustworthy. Woooow so I'm the liar?! It's cool to protect an employee. But wrong is wrong. I saw Krista and absolutely love my lashes. I came in having no idea what to expect and have high expectations, as I have seen many talented and fast lash technicians. Krista took less than 2 hours, about an hour and fifteen-thirty to do volume 5D lashes which take longer than classics so I was really happy about that as I get antsy near the end!! She had a chart with images of styles and I showed her pictures to get the exact look. She sized the length and the curl of the lash to fit my eye perfectly and not touch my brow. They look stunning, not too dramatic but dramatic enough. It was a calm, comfortable environment and all the staff seemed like they were great friends and very friendly. Highly recommend! read more
