Both had been there for some time, which initially gave me confidence in having a reliable lash technician. First, I'll start by saying the lash tech was very friendly. I tried the express lash, which is a few lashes glued onto one lash vs the traditional style. The glue was strong. My eyes were a bit red that night but it went away. Over the next few days, it was really itchy and on day 6, I had to take them off. The glue was so thick that it took off most of my natural lashes and hurts. I don't know if it was inexperience or what but I'm really sad. It's going to take months for mine to grow back. The lashes could not be removed all the way off one eye because the glue was applied onto my skin. read more

This review is in relation to the owner/ membership Both lash techs I had were great. However, I unfortunately developed an allergic reaction 48 hours after my last fill. I am a physician and know how to manage the reaction, including removing the source of the allergy (the lashes/adhesive)- no need for me to speak to the lash technician. I tried several times to call the location, and sent an email to the address on the website (including the photos below) however never received a reply. I was finally able to go to the location and said I needed to cancel my membership, and was told I need to call a specific phone number. I called, explained I wanted to cancel my membership, the call Center person explained that I had not paid my June membership, so to cancel I would have to pay that amount, then she could cancel my membership and let the owner know to refund my June payment. I've just now got a voicemail from the representative saying the owner wants photos of the allergic reaction, and I've not received a refund of my payment. I am not particularly bothered about the fact that I am not getting a refund, but rather the fact that rather than provide customers with a refund, they are questioning what I have said. Secondly, it is not like a membership for lashes means that appointments are lost if someone doesn't use their membership, or that other customers are unable to make appointments etc, so I am unclear as to why it is so difficult to cancel a membership. My advice would be DO NOT sign up for the monthly membership as it is made extremely difficult to cancel. read more

So, I loved this location initially. Jackie did a great job at the lashes at least (not tint, DO NOT GO HERE FOR LAMINATION). She tried to place me with someone else on another occasion (maybe an hours' notice)! Excuse me I can't reschedule however you can try to push me to someone else........same day with no consequences. So I rescheduleded to another day no problem things happen. Come appointment time I arrive at exactly 1:06 pm. And she says there is a 5-minute grace period, so we'd have to reschedule. See how hypocritical this is? So unprofessional. Never in the 15 years of me getting my lashes professionally have I ever experienced a "5-minute grace period" Needless to say, will not be returning to this location. And if the "5 minute grace period" applies at other locations count me out as well. No thanks! read more

My lash extension appointment on Nov 8 was disappointing. It made me uncomfortable about their hygiene and unprofessionalism in a couple ways: 1. Crystal was the lash technician. While I arrived 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time (as the instructions indicated to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the appointment), she was casually chatting with her customer and random walk-in's so that my appointment did not start until 20 minutes AFTER the scheduled time. This salon also has a policy that they will cancel or reschedule your appointment (with a fee) if you show up 10 minutes late. 2. Crystal did not clean, wipe, or sanitize the lounge chair that the lash extension was performed on from the prior customer to me. Given that she was performing the lash work on a customer before me, at the first lounge chair behind the counter, and there was neither a curtain nor a door to block the view, I could clearly see that no cleaning was done and she just told me to lay on the chair. 3. She did not wash her hands between customers/appointments. I witnessed this between the customer before me and my appointment, as well as the appointment after me. 4. Throughout 90% of the appointment time, she was chatting with the receptionist and showing another trainee while applying the lash extension on me. The trainee even took a picture of her applying the lashes on me without asking for my permission. I generally would not have mind if a technician was having a quick conversation with her co-workers, but the conversation lasted more than an hour! 5. After the lash extension was completed, Crystal gave me a mirror to look at the lashes. I immediately told her that the lashes look very different from what I have expected. Crystal's only response was that "you can ask the technician to make adjustment the next time you come." As a routine lash extension customer, I understand how important it is to have clean/disinfected equipment and environment for the lash extension, or there could be serious consequence such as an eye infection. This is not the place I will return and risk my health for. read more

My appointment was originally scheduled for 10:30. I was texted at 10:17 that my lash artist had moved my appointment to 11:00 due to waking up and not feeling well. I didn't leave the area since I was already close, and ended up waiting until around 11:30. I originally rated five stars because you are given a free lash brush if you give a good review right after finishing. However... My lashes looked really good when I first got them done and for few days and then gradually started to come off. I'm not sure if it's my lashes or something I did on my end, but even before my first fill (which is scheduled for the 29th) they have almost all fallen off. I imagine that I will be charged for a full set due to so many falling off. I will be cancelling my membership- not really sure if I will even use the two fills I have already paid for. read more

I purchased a Groupon deal to get "one full set of Classic eyelashes". $69.00. For my daughter. When she arrived. She showed them the Groupon. They took over thirty minutes telling her that the Groupon wouldn't work. But they would take it anyway? Then they charged her $30. And then another $30. When she was leaving. Telling her the charge was for the lashes. Total paid charges on my credit card. $65 Groupon plus $30 by Deka lashes and another $30 by Deka Lashes. That's basically full price. Directed to Deka Lashes: if you are not going to honor the Groupon price. Then Get off Groupon. Groupon is looking into our disputed issue. At this time it feels like Deka Lashes wanted to charge more the the Groupon deal. Too shady. I read other reviews on Groupon where others had to pay more because the lash tech said so. When the lashes are already on as my daughters were, she paid. I didn't see any fine print to state that there are extra charges. I will see what Groupons response will be. I went to do a lash lift. It's something that requires precision and all lashes must be brushed straight. Well not in my case. More then half of them were facing different directions. Some were up, some were down. Because they were not brushed correctly, some of them sticked together creating an empty spaces. I am not happy and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. My experience with Deka Lash was more than disappointing when I came for my appointment that was made in advance I was told by their technician Mary that she was sick and she needs to go home so I was rescheduled for Wednesday. I then received a text message from Mary that she needed to see me on Friday instead, so this was a second delay on getting my lashes done as a new customer when I went to see Mary she was professional she was kind but I was not pleased with the outcome of my lashes I normally like my lashes Long and full. I used a Groupon and paid additional for Volume lashes so in total I paid $108.00 and receive less than poor quality work. I cannot speak for all the technicians at this salon but what I will say is this. It's like a scam- the Groupon was for $69 for classic lashes I was up-sold to get a volume set and then you walk away Extremely disappointed. I wish it was a way to post a picture of my lashes so that you can see how poorly they were done I will say that I was her last customer at 5:30 I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early she did not see me until 6 PM and it took two hours to get my lashes done. But there were other ladies that left out while I was getting my lashes done that were very happy with the other technicians. I tried to reach out to Mary the next morning to see how we could come to a conclusion so that I would be a happy customer I honestly believe if she would've been fair to say hey I will do them again longer and fuller the way you like for half I would've been OK with that she just said sorry don't know how I can make you happy well that's not great customer service. read more
