I have gotten lash lifts pretty regularly (every 8 weeks) for a couple of years now, but after moving and having to find a new salon in Illinois, I was pretty nervous. I had to schedule an appointment at the Glenview location after my original appointment with another one was cancelled, and I think it was fate. Claudette did my lash lift to perfection! Seriously, this was my favorite lash lift service I've ever had, and I've had a lot. My favorite thing about the Glenview location is their abundance of parking. My local Deka Lash has street parking, so I always have to plan additional time to get to my appointment on time--you definitely don't have to worry about that here. Their space is very clean and relaxing. I was offered a blanket and I'm going to be honest I think I might have dozed off at some point during my appointment because I was so comfortable. I got a fresh set of lash extensions put on yesterday. EVERY SINGLE ONE FELL OFF WITHIN AN HOUR OF GETTING HOME! I've had extensions dozens of times and this has never happened to me. It's almost like no glue was used. I called immediately this morning because I was the last apt of the day yesterday. They refused to let the girl who worked on me fix them because she had graduated from the training program. They would only give me an apt a week from now with a new trainee. I declined. This place has HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I loved the concept of a membership with regular fills, but this place is so RUDE!! I went for my initial set, was not really happy with the final look and wanted to come in for a consultation at a different location, closer to my home. The first person I spoke to was very helpful and scheduled me for the Glenview location I requested. Then I got a message that they had to cancel it. When I called to reschedule, they scheduled me at 2 different locations, the original place and Glenview, both for the same date and time. When I realized they double-booked me, I canceled the one at the far location. I was then called and was told if I needed any "fix" done I was going to have to go back to the original location. The woman on the phone clearly didn't want me coming to the Glenview location and I'm sure that's why they canceled my original consultation. I just wanted to have someone look at them, and maybe add one or two lashes where there were missing spots, which I would gladly have paid for!! They clearly don't want my business at the Glenview location and I was fully excited to get the membership and get regular services. This place has great customer service, and I think that's very important. Even if a place like this had the best product but rude people, this wouldn't constitute five stars. I've been here several times now, but I'm pretty new still. After the first time, I came back for a fix, and they happily obliged me, no questions asked. They were really nice, which made me want to come back. I did for a refill, and they were amazing to me, and I liked the result. First impression: The place always smells really good and is generally really neat and clean. It's very professional! Those people who left bad reviews probably shouldn't get lashes. The experience depends on the person--maybe a person's lashes can't hold onto fake ones, maybe their eyes are too sensitive. Maybe their eyes are too watery. That is often times a factor! Maybe the person is a constant eye-toucher and doesn't realize it, and then subsequently blames the girl for the service. Maybe the person is just damn picky and nothing will ever satisfy them. There are a lot of rude customers out there. There are a lot of people out there, in general, who aren't ever satisfied by anything. I think that comes from internal problems that have nothing to do with others but the customer themselves. A person can ruin their own experience of anything! Ultimately, I think that if you follow their directions, ALL of them, especially upkeep of lashes, you will have a great experience. Was greeted at the front desk by Fay and she was the one who did my lashes as well. She was very welcoming. She explained everything to me since it was my first time getting my lashes done. Asked me if I wanted a more natural or drastic look and asked me what style lashes I wanted. It was kind of overwhelming since I didn't know what to choose but she recommended what would look good on my lashes and so I went with the classic glamour 2-3 curl lash look. Fay was very gentle and nice. Whenever I had discomfort she would ask if I was ok and not to be shy to tell her. The whole process was quicker than I thought, maybe around an hour and 15min. I'm sure I fell asleep a few times since it was so relaxing and I was laying down for a long time. When I opened my eyes, the lashes definitely were longer and more curled. It was like I had fuller curled lashes without mascara. I'm so used to my short lashes, it was a little shocking to see these extensions on me. I'm sure I will get used to them in a few days. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get lash extensions for a refill or for their first time. I got a Groupon deal for this place and it was overall a good experience. I went here on 1/2/19 and wanted a natural look which means short on the ends and long in the middle.. she gave me a cat eye and both of my eyelashes have fallen more than 80% that means I only have 20% percent left on my eyelashes! I went and got my lashes done here for the first time and everything was fine for the first week and a half but, I brushed them this morning and a huge chunk that was all glued together fell out and took a ton of my natural lashes along with it. I scheduled an appointment to get it fixed because it was very noticeable (has never happened to me before with my other lash place) and they wanted to charge me $90 just to get that one portion fixed even though the condition of my extensions doesn't qualify for a full refill. Three days after I went in to get my lashes done the started to fall out and twist around. I had to go to another salon and have them removed and put back on. Kylie is the one who did my lashed and stated that she was not that experienced and they left her alone all week by herself to work on clients because she said everyone was on vacation. They need to supervise their staff until they can do a professional job. Just because she is licensed does not mean she is good. This place is a joke and now I see why there are so many bad reviews. When I got my full set of lashes done, they were pretty good so I decided to go back and get a fill. Keep in mind a fill is still pricey. Within a week of getting them filled, more than half of my lashes had fallen off and there were big gaps between my lashes. I've had my lashes done at other places before and they always last at least 2 weeks but typically it'll be 3 weeks before I start seeing big gaps in my lashes. I decided to call them to see if i could get them fixed because I did not pay $100 to have my lashes last me a week. The lady that I spoke to told me that I would just have to get another fill because they won't fix them if it's more than 5 days past the initial fill. Do not go to this salon for eye lashes. I specifically told the girl I did not want to look like a drag queen. When the 2 hour process was over I was alarmed at the length of my lashes. They were so fake looking that I went back the next day to have them corrected. The girl could not cut them so she had to indivdually remove them. In doing so she ended up breaking my natural lashes leaving me with stubs. The manager was not in so I called at least 1/2 a dozen times. She never returned my calls, that was 3 weeks ago.
