The owner here treats her employees awful. She clearly doesn't know how to run a business or even care to try. She's had 2 good technicians in the past year and half since I've gone there and treated them so bad they finally left. They only have two employees working at this location. There is no one to greet you or handle anything at the front desk. After using a great person named Brenda a few times, I bought a membership. Right after I signed up Brenda either quit or was fired. I was not notified and showed up for my next appointment and waited in the lobby for 15 minutes before anyone even spoke to me to tell me Brenda no longer worked there. Then I tried to cancel my membership because the whole reason I bought it was no longer there. They refused to let me out of my membership. It's a two month minimum. So the are making a few hundred dollars off of me because they can stick to the fine print and charge me instead of being an understanding business that can bend the rules when the problem actually falls on their shoulders. I strongly advise against getting a membership here! I also don't recommend going here at all unless you are ok with never knowing who is working on you and if they will show up to your appointment. This is no way to run a successful business. Very disappointed. read more

Not a great place for lashes. I had booked the appointment earlier that morning for the same day. The second I walked in, the lash tech wasn't very nice or welcoming. It felt more like an inconvenience for me to be there. The lash tech, Jaira, said maybe a few sentences to me the entire 2 hours I was there which is completely fine not everyone likes to talk while they work. But she was just very cold to me when walking in and checking out. I go about my day, take some meetings, grab food, and take a phone call. Within that timeframe 2 individual lashes and a cluster of 3 fall out. Then as I'm still in the phone I can feel 1 lash in each eye kind of droop down. I go into the bathroom and see that one in the left is drooping and one in the right is almost completely off and I can see it through my contact lense. I give the salon a call and I believe it sends me to customer service. The lady at customer was extraordinarily nice and let me know that I could just go straight there to either fix it or have a removal and refund. I get there and she was, again, not very nice and told me that she'll fix it, but I told her that at this point I would like to have it removed because if 5 have already fallen out and at least 2 more were on the way, then what's to say that I'll have any lashes by the time a fill is needed. She does the removal, and as she's removing it, I can hear her figures tapping on her phone and pauses as if she's texting. Which she probably was. She does the removal and then takes the pads off, I open my eyes. She says fairly aggressively "don't open your eyes," so I close them again to let her dry them. As I'm checking out she gives me the owner's name and number for the refund and says "you're all set". She doesn't apologize or say anything else, meanwhile, I say "thank you" because she did take the time to install them as well as do the removal before closing. I call the number, and leave a voicemail to the owner stating partially what happened. The owner calls me back and I ask her if I could tell her what happened. She states that I've already told her in the voicemail, but I proceed to say that wasn't the full story. I would like you to hear the full story from my point of view. She listens and explains that she has never heard feedback before about Jaia, and that she can only give me a 50% refund because I had two services done. I asked her if I could have 75% refunded and she states "no I'm not negotiating this, you had 2 services done." Which typically is be okay with but with consideration on how I was treated, you would think a full refund would be offered. I originally thought that maybe because I booked the appointment last minute and for 12pm that maybe I was infringing on the lash tech's lunch time and that could have been the reason for the attitude. The owner told me that that should not be the case because the girls usually take lunch in the afternoon and it doesn't matter when I book the appointment. The service was $120 as it was my first time there + 20% tip ($30). I'm extremely sadden about this experience as it would be the closest salon to my apartment and work, I did look forward to seeing how the lashes wore for my trip to Las Vegas to then book a fill when I get back. However, due to this experience I will not be coming back. I don't doubt that maybe it could have been just an off day for Jaira, and I hope she continues to grow as a lash tech. read more

Awful! After $260+ I now have 2 caterpillars on my face. This has to be thee worst eyelash place, my lashes look like eyelash extension 101 for $260! First she didn't listen to what I wanted then after 2 hours she shows me the mirror and while trying to hold back tears I told her what needed to be fixed, she tries again and it looks exactly the same. I was like 'I'm done call it' she and the other lady working could visibly see I was upset and didn't care or even try to make it right ... not going back UPDATE - the response the manager provider has many inaccuracies and the way she called to handle the situation made the experience 10x worse which I communicated to their corporate customer service as well as her. I had no issue with having my lashes removed - I PAID for the 1 hour lash removal so why that is being mentioned provides little relevance. When the technician was removing my lashes and told me about the damage I specifically asked and said I didn't need to put new lashes on and asked as well as had the technician confirm I had more than enough lashes for a full set. Last night, she said my eyelashes were too damaged for a longer length and today it's 'that's the longest length they have'? Story keeps changing.... All that to say the manager was rude, kept interrupting and since she kept talking over me to made it overly clear ' she would in no way issue a refund - that's 'their policy' is the response I kept getting. As for her solution - I was called 1.5 hours before to come in that evening (I had kids to watch and I'm 20+ minutes away) or the next day to have them fixed or removed - WHY would someone come in and have their lashes removed after being told they wouldn't get their money back??? I've been going to Deka Lash for a few months now to get my lashes done. Before going to Deka, I had eye irritation at other places from the tape touching my eyes and never had a good experience- I would just bear through it for the after-effects: to have full lashes. Ever since I found Rin at Deka I will never go to anyone or anywhere else! Rin has the magic touch - with her I have no eye tape irritation- am never uncomfortable. She's very professional and my lashes always look perfect and stay on for a long time. The salon is also comfortable and welcoming, my appointments always run on time - never am I made to wait. I have been to Deka Lash in Chattanooga many times and never had an issue.. however, I went here and like someone else previously mentioned developed eyelid irritation and itching after getting my lashes done at deka lash in Franklin. I understand these things happen so I reached out to the salon to see if they knew of any solutions. They were extremely unhelpful and kept suggesting it was unrelated to their services... clearly not because it didn't happen until after I got lashes and that was the only thing I changed about my routine.. really not happy that I paid $100+ for 3 days of itching and irritation and absolutely no help or advice from "professionals" They are now ignoring me while I'm still trying to get a solution, looks like I need to go to urgent care to get any kind of help. I've been using Deka Lash in Franklin for about 5 months now, I signed up for the monthly plan and it really saves me money and not to mention TIME doing my makeup! I get true volume refills every 2 weeks/2x a month with Rin! She is amazing and does a fantastic job! She always listens to exactly what I want (i like changing things up lol) and she always executes exactly what I'm looking for in volume and shape! She is also super fast, refills only take about an hour and I already have a lot of lashes so she has more to attach the extensions to but she is so fast and really good at what she does! They suck you dry for all your worth and have the WORST customer service. I never received a copy of my contract when I signed up for a membership. They are not transparent about how the points work, and thank goodness I am tech savvy, because you cannot ever talk to a real human for anything. I originally signed up as a member for $100/month, then they bumped it up to $120, then bumped it up by a large percentage when I said that's enough. Cancelling was another beast in of itself where I was passed from one person to the next to the next to cancel while being told conflicting things about my membership perks and when they would expire. I attempted to book my last and final appointment and was told that even with my (intact membership benefits) that it would be $85 for a fill. When asking for clarification as to why it would be nearly double the normal amount, I finally received a copy of my agreement that reads, " During the Cancellation Period, you may continue to use your accumulated benefits." While further asking for clarification (only via text because there is no other way), I was then transferred to finally calling their customer support. But here's the catch, it was the corporate support who can't do or say or see anything because each franchise is "independently owned and ran." Justine does great work there, but everything else is awful, terrible and incredibly inefficient. Avoid at all costs. read more

IT ISN'T WORTH IT. I spent $150 getting lashes done for my nephews wedding, which was out of town. I had been told these lashes would last at least a month. I chose the Express set for the timeframe that I needed. I followed the directions, I didn't get my lashes wet for 48 hours, didn't use eye makeup remover, used the brush the gave me and by Sunday the left eye had lost 90% of the lashes and the right eye had lost 50%. That's four days. Monday was a holiday, Tuesday was my flight back to Nashville, which took all day, Wednesday was catch up at work day, so I had time to call them on Thursday. You don't get to speak to a real person, instead you receive a text. I explained the situation, sent pictures, and asked to be refunded since I have no desire to sit for another hour only for this to be repeated. They said they don't refund and I'd need to come back in for them to redo my lashes. (On a separate note, the engine went out in my car and I didn't want to incur a $75 Lyft fee for a service that I'd already paid for.) When I explained that to them they said that I should have told them earlier. As if that would have mattered. In the end I disputed the charge with my credit card company to get my refund. They have poor customer service & they clearly are not able to execute the task of lashes that last. I will not ever go back. read more

Wife had a horrible experience. The eyelashes look like they came from the Walmart clearance aisle. The pictures speak for themselves. One eyelash is literally glued to her skin above all others. Almost all of the others are clumpy and uneven. Worst eyelashes she has ever had. After asking for a refund the SAME day, the owner/manager refused two days later indicating that we had to go back to the store to have them taken off with only half a refund back if you go back within 5 days. Almost an hour's drive and we have other obligations this week and are unable to go back so take notice ladies. If you get home, look closer, and realize how crappy they are like we did, you will only get half back IF you go back and have them taken off. You will be throwing money away because you will now have to go somewhere else that have competent technicians to get them done the right way. The pictures below are from the SAME DAY of service. Unfortunately this shop doesn't know the purpose of appointments and how to conduct good customer service. I wanted to get lash extensions. There are dozens of places to have this done in Middle TN but I chose Deka because I work in the same plaza. I loved the convenience of getting my lashes done near work and I wanted to take advantage of their membership program. I made my appointment online for 10am on Saturday. I was excited for days. I drove from Rutherford county(45 minute drive) on my day off for my first service there. I live 12 minutes from an Amazing Lash Studio but I wanted to be able to get my lash refills after work when I sign up for the membership. I got there 10 minutes before my appointment because I knew I would probably have paperwork to fill out. The shop opens at 9am. (This information will be important later.) There is no receptionist. I assume because the shop is always slow. One of the lash techs, Jasslyn, came from one of the booths and got me started on my paperwork. She said she was finishing up a client and asked me to have a seat. No problem. Who hasn't waited 15 minutes after their appointment time. I grabbed a pamphlet to go over the membership options. I sat there reviewing them to figure out what package would best suit my needs. 15 minutes passed and she was still working. I watch some lash videos on youtube and pictures on Deka Lash website to confirm the look I wanted. I know that it takes 1.5 to 2 hours for an installation and since it was 30 minutes pass my appointment time, I wanted to make sure I was completely sure about what look I wanted to save time. 45 minutes pass and no-one checked on me or anything. There were only 2 workers there and they both were with clients. 1 hour later Jasslyn finished with the customer. I watch as they had a mini photo shoot with her phone...complete with "Yasssss, Girl" and the such. I sat waiting and annoyed. No-one seemed to care. The lady checked out. She got volume lashes for the new customer price. The shop opens at 9am and they take walk ins. Why would you take a walk in for a 2hour service when you know you have an APPOINTMENT coming in at 10am?! Why would you tell your customer who has an appointment that you are finishing up when they get there and in reality you are maybe halfway done?! She couldn't have been more than half way through this 2 hour service when I got there. When she called me to the back, she didn't even acknowledge I was waiting a whole hour until I mentioned it to her. I asked her is this what I should expect from making an appointment here at Deka Lash. She nervously said No and tried to apologize by saying it was all her fault. Yes, I know it was your fault. It sure wasn't my fault because I did my part by making an appointment and arrive on time. I was going to have the service done and be on my way but I decided to decline getting anything done. The least they could do is give me a discount on my service for waiting an hour. They are not PHDs and this isn't a doctor's office. No-one should wait this long for an appointment. I emailed the shop manager email address. Belle, the team lead, answered and just apologized and said the situation was "rectified". "Rectified" how? I don't know because the customer(me) was not satisfied. With how slow the shop is, I'm not sure why they feel they can exist with horrible customer service. I was planning on getting my lashes done that day and then sign up for a membership that they would've gotten over a hundred dollars from me( not including tips and product buying) a month. While the lady they bumped me for she got her one time discounted lashes and left without a membership. Yep sounds like a smart decision Deka Lash. I recommend going to Amazing Lash Studio. They tried to get me in that Saturday but unfortunately, the time they could do it was during my event. read more

Mimi is awesome! I went in with lashes from another salon, I was nervous to take them off, Mimi reassured me it would be fine. I didn't feel a thing during the removal or the new lashes being put on, I actually feel asleep for a bit. I didn't know any better, because the lady that did my lashes before I felt pokes:( Mimi is very gentle and tells you everything she is about to do. She gives honest advice and does what's best for your lashes. The pricing is affordable, the salon is clean. I'm very happy to have found them! NOT impressed. I went in as a model it took two hours when. i had maybe 10-15 lashes on each eye and could see the amount of spaces that were missing lashes. On the way out the manager told me my lashes looked amazing so i was expecting nothing less got into my car and was highly disappointed. the NEXT DAY all my lashes were gone (the very little that i had) I called letting them know that it wasn't a good set and they probably should do some more training they begged me to come and give them another shot so i did. my appointment was at 6 so i was on my way but stuck in insane traffic making me late so i called to let them know and they told me i could still come but they would have to cut it short and not finish my lashes. LIKE OK!!!! so i decided to just turn around and go home because i'm not going to continue to a place that is once again going to half ass my lashes. they then charged me $20.... I had an unfortunate experience at this salon. Sho, my lash tech, was friendly, but my appointment started 30 minutes late. My lashes were a bit more voluminous than what I requested, and I developed an eyelid infection a few hours after getting the extensions. I have never had a negative reaction from eyelash extensions, so I am not sure what is different at this studio! $79 lash extensions sounds great, but it is NOT worth it when you also have to pay $200 for an urgent care appointment and antibiotics.
