Our family has been taking our dog to Dr. Ryan at Associated Veterinary Clinic for eleven years…read more They are always on top of the best practices with current medical information and if they can not get it worked out, they send you to University of Illinois for diagnosis. (We had a tricky eye problem that was solved by U of I with medication.) They also do some basic surgery and their prices are fair. We have boarded our dog several times at Associated Veterinary Clinic and have been very happy with her care. She comes home healthy and happy. They never seem in a hurry when you go in for a yearly visit or a need based visit. I really appreciate that! I have received many personal calls from Dr. Ryan over the years checking on our Stella. We really appreciate being able to interact with her over the phone when working with a medical issue.

Dr. Kirby and the technicians and staff at AVC literally saved my girl's life. And I cannot say…read morethank you enough. My 11 month old dog was in an emergency facility throughout the weekend, where she tested positive for Parvo. When the emergency hospital closed on Monday morning, we needed to transfer her to another daytime facility. Our normal vet was unable to take her, because their parvo unit was full. We called multiple vets, and no one would take her. AVC was willing, and saw her within 20 minutes. Within an hour we had a treatment plan, and our girl was admitted. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately with a private room to keep her isolated, and the staff was SO kind. Our sweet pup made a miraculous recovery, and was released within a day and a half. We thought we were going to lose our girl, and AVC helped save her life. Thank you all so much for your kindness, compassion, and attention to our pup. We will be forever grateful.

Dr. Couri has been so kind and helpful when dealing with my FeLV+ kitten. He always calls to check up and never fails to show how truly invested he is in his patients. I'd absolutely recommend Meadowbrook to anyone looking for a new vet or just a better experience than their current clinic. I can't say enough great things!

The bad: This place charges A LOT! I have had the impression more than once that finding every opportunity to add charges during an exam is included in their staff training. Also, there is little/no transparency with charges ahead of time. I am putting it out there so people can be aware. We boarded our dogs and paid a lot extra for their "luxury run". It was supposed to have a tv that played soothing videos and be equipped with cameras that we could log into and check on them at our convenience. We were not allowed to see this in person because of "safety protocol" and the morning we checked them in we were informed that the cameras were down. We had no way of knowing if we got anything that we were charged extra for, and we were charged a lot extra. They were unapologetic about this and did not offer to reduce the bill for the services that were not provided. Over $200 for 24 hours and I have no idea if we got anything we payed extra for. Pros: skilled vets and usually can get an appointment quickly Cons: they squeeze you for every dime and you must take it on faith that you are getting what you paid for.

I didn't trust or want to try and use Rose Golf's services after they tried their best to try and do a money grab after Rocco passed away... (He died as I parked in their ER driveway after a 5 min rush over to see if he could be saved...and 3 different females in scrubs tried to get me to authorize "resuscitation" and get me into a room to "register and fill out paperwork"... as if I could not see what that was... he's dead but let's try and bill for confirmation of no heartbeat. Thanks vet guy for giving me that info despite the vultures circling) Anywhoo I did a search and found this place close by, made an appointment and took Rocco over. It was quick and kind service and the guy was informative. My choice was the middle-tier group but separated steel partition cremation for $180. I think size is a factor so prices probably very by body weight. Went home and ordered a urn for him online but got his ashes back this week... before it came in, I just need to get a photo printed for it and maybe paint the statue to match. ... Love you sweetie... always.
