Brought my 6-yr old german shepherd in for an annual exam and a Bordetella vaccination. Brian Zulauf began by feeling around her body. He attempted to manipulate her leg and she went crazy. Clearly alot of pain. That is where the exam ended. He charged me for a "comprehensive physical". When I questioned the charge with the assistant, he had the audacity to say that he performed the exam. Wait..then he comes back into the room, takes out his stethoscope to listen to her heart to act like he was doing something. I am sitting right there watching everything!! This is me: So, you are telling me that you performed a comprehensive exam a minute ago and I missed it?" Zulauf: Yes. I could not hide my complete disgust. $69 for him to look me in my face and lie. Did I mention that he tried to give the Bordetella by mouth and half of it sprayed on me? His response..."its ok, she got enough." $40 for that. Man.. I have never been so angry and disgusted and hurt. I don't care if they are offering free services, I WILL NEVER RETURN. I am a professional and expect the same from the businesses I choose. I say... do what you want, but please know that this review is 110% accurate.

We used to love and fully trust Beaumont for nearly a decade up until the last 6 months or so…read more We took our dog in 3 times during that period and each time there were different staff working. Gone are the friendly office staff that remembered you and gave you a friendly greeting when you arrived, or the techs or vets that remember your dog. The last time we were in one of the employee's children was sitting on the floor behind the desk playing video games, distracting staff. A second time we went in they gave our dog a vaccination on the floor in the waiting room! I also notice their Yelp entry and web site both still contain photos of team members (including Dr. Kurt and Dr. Nicole Andrews-Holldwedel) who no longer work there. Misleading to those who have entrusted them with their dogs' health for years. Adrian M's review about change in ownership validated our recent anxiety and trepidation about Beaumont and prompted this review. Sadly, we will no longer be taking our dogs here and recommend the same to others.

She had been a regular at our old vet for nine years, and a couple of other vets in the area actually turned us down. Thankfully, we found Country View. They are very accommodating, and every employee we've encountered has had a wonderful attitude. They treat our dog amazingly, and the receptionists are extremely communicative. Our dog also had a small operation done here, and it went very smoothly. The doctor was very helpful in educating us on everything they would do with our dog, and the vet tech she was with the day of her surgery was very caring. I could truly go on and on about how great she was. She made sure our dog was comfortable the entire day of surgery, from drop-off to pick-up time.

INHUMANE. Today I had to bring our elderly chihuahua to Country View to be put to sleep. Two years…read moreago we had to have an elderly chihuahua put to sleep and brought her to VCA in Kankakee, and it was a very calm and easy 2-shot procedure, while I held her, for about $200. I pleaded with Country View to do it as quickly as possible when I got there today since my dog was experiencing a great deal of anxiety. They required I listen to the cremation sales pitch first and pay in full, over $300, before they would begin. Then they said they would take him in back for one injection, then wait for him to get sleepy so they could insert an IV port into his leg. I questioned this procedure but they said it's how they always do it. So they took him away and brought him back to me even more stressed. After a few minutes he relaxed in my lap but then began choking and coughing. He struggled to breathe for a good 10 minutes until they came in to lay him on the table and shave his leg and put in the port. They kept giving him saline for what seemed like forever, then finally gave him the lethal meds. In a long lifetime of having pets I have never been more disappointed in a veterinary clinic and will never go back.

This business was supposed to meet with them Monday to drop off remains, and they never showed up. They have already been paid for their services. Now not only is my friend out money, but the pet they loved and cherished still has not been returned to them. Do not use this business. They obviously do not cherish like family.

We take our dachshund to Northgate--Dr. Juhl is our vet. She is kind and knowledgeable. We recently took her for licking her vulva and scooting, and for a nail trim. She was prescribed antibiotics and is doing well. Kudos to the techs who held her and trimmed her nails as she struggled. I followed Dr. Davis from the U. Of I. Vet Clinic to AHATC when he began this veterinary practice…read more I'm not even sure what year that was. I'm 85, so you know I am extremely happy with the competence and care all our dogs (and cats) have received. I have found warm and welcoming professionals from the receptionists, vet techs, and veterinarians throughout the many years I have been coming to this vet practice. The same has been true since Dr. Davis retired and Dr. Stoerger has continued the practice. Every time I've had to make that awful decision a pet owner often faces, I have been supported and eased through euthanizing a beloved furry member of our family, this practice has supported me with their combined veterinary skills, their empathy, and their understanding for my loss. My most recent experience in dealing with my Murphy's struggle with cancer, I was able to get through it with their support and caring. Dr. Stoerger came to my home with a vet tech and told me to let her know when I was ready. (You're not ever really "ready" to lose your friend and companion, but you know it's the last caring thing you can do for them, and I was given the gift of Dr. Stoerger's understanding and empathy for my loss. She has cared for Murphy, my beagle mix, from 2012 when I adopted him until his recent euthanasia. When the mass was discovered in his lung, she told me of the cancer division at U. Of I. Veterinarian Medical School, who were wonderful as well. When I took him there, she shared his medical records with them. In his illness and euthanasia, she was so tender with him--and with me--that I felt comforted, and I know Murphy was as well.
