We then realized the go karts were also down so we were about to leave, but played some air hockey in the "arcade" (really just a couple of games and some claw machines). The payment system and go karts both came back to life and we paid and got wristbands. My husband and son both did the go karts. They aren't super fast, but decent speed for little kids. They also seemed to have some technical difficulties and were stop/go for a while. Many of the other attractions like ropes course and belaying area were closed. She would run back and forth to all the different shop fronts pretending to be a waitress at the diner, camping in the camper van, fishing from the boat, doing hair at the salon, and even fighting fires on the fire truck. Her favorite place to hang is the Vet Office where she can take care of all the furry friends there. They even have a cool lego wall which kept her occupied for quite some time. Tagalongs also has a physical component to it where kids can climb, slide, and bounce on the trampoline. We were there on weekdays and it was never super crowded. Kids were running all over, but it was never overwhelming. All the kids were having a great time. The play place is immaculate and the staff is very very friendly. You pay their entrance fee and then you can come and go throughout the day. Most play places give you a 2 hour time limit and then you have to leave or pay extra. I love that you can come early, then go out and grab lunch, and then come back in the afternoon. Everything about Tagalongs is perfect! If you have a child who loves to use their imagination, this is the place for them. They will have a great time!

The kids have to spend a lot of time waiting because of the nature of the activities. All of the kids do the same activity at the same time so they're always waiting for kids in front of them to finish on the rope swing, the trampoline, the obstacle course, etc. The most recent party we attended made me think I won't go back. Toward the end of the party, they made all of the kids sit on a white line and face a giant rope-type swing. They buckled the birthday boy in and told him to run, when he did then they hoisted him in the air and he swung back and forth. It looked like a blast. Everyone was cheering and clapping. When they lower him down, the other kids start to jump up thinking they are going to get to go next. Then they tell the other kids, "It's just for the birthday boy." Who does that to a group of five year olds? Either do it before or after the party or while the rest of the kids are doing other activities, but certainly don't make the other kids sit and watch. My daughter pretended not to be upset so I didn't bring it up but in the car on the way home she mentioned it. "Mommy, I was kind of sad when I didn't get to do the flying thing." I tried to turn the conversation to the fun she DID have but I could tell she was still a little disappointed. They should think twice about this policy in the future. Other than that, the place is pretty clean, the party area is kind of small, and some of the kids working there act like they have somewhere better to be.
