We moved to the area in early 2024 and picked Hometown Pharmacy DeForest based on the reviews. My experience for the first few months was good but things deteriorated as the summer approached. My refill prescriptions started taking longer and longer to get, even though the prescriptions were unchanged. Each time that I picked up my refills I asked if there was a supply issue but was consistently told that everything should be next day, though I was seeing up to 4 days turn around for a refill. The final straw broke in early October when I had a doctors appointment and was given 2 new prescriptions. The prescriptions were called in around noon on a Friday. I figured that they'd need a few hours to refill and, though I was in pain, decided to wait until Saturday morning to call and check in the status. I tried a couple of times and had no answer the first time, was hung up on later. The 3rd call I was put on hold and told that they'd be with me momentarily. I waited 20 minutes on hold and finally gave up and decided to just drive to the store. I got there at about 1:15 and realized that they closed at 1. My call that I was placed on hold for started at 12:45 so whomever placed me on hold left me stranded and closed the store. As they are closed on Sunday, I was left without my needed prescriptions for the weekend. I left a very frustrated message, asking for a pharmacist to call me ASAP. I met them as soon as they opened on Monday morning. I asked the tech who greeted me to speak to the pharmacist. One of the other techs looked at one of the pharmacists and just said "I'm pretty sure that he's the guy". I shared this same story with the pharmacist song with my frustration and disappointment in their poor service. She then told me that she and the other pharmacist wirking were temporary, as the pharmacist at that location had quit a few months ago. She of course apologized for my bad experiences with them. I just told her that I needed a pharmacy that I could depend on and they obviously had repeatedly let me down. I have since moved my business to another local pharmacy and those same prescriptions, and some new ones, have all been filled same day.
