The staff is very rude and unprofessional. You go to pick up your perscriptons at 3: 20 in the afternoon to find out they closed. Then without notice they close the pharmacy early again. Yet they won't offer free delivery. read more

I had an appointment but still waited for 33 minutes to get my shot. No explanation, no apology.

Terrible prescription service. If you have a serious medical issue that requires a prescription being filled, Walgreens is not the place to count on. They can not fill even the simplest orders within 24 hours. If they need more staff, hire them! It's sad, a pharmacy should be a place we can trust. Not so in DeForest. read more

The store was empty of customers and I asked if I could check out my two items at the pharmacy desk, where 3 staffers were just hanging around & gabbing amongst themselves behind the counter. No one was in line for Rx's. They told me "No", that I had to check out at the cash register at the front of the store. That's a first for me; every other Walgreens I've been in let's you pay for your OTC items at the pharmacy register. Especially when there is no line there. Then I went back to them to check on 2 prescriptions that had received the day before (both at the same time). They said one was ready now, but they were still working on the other one. When I asked how long it would be to finish filling the second (thinking I could hang around for 15 minutes and avoid a second trip later that day), they said "There's no way that other Rx would be filled today, that it might be ready tomorrow). Nothing has changed since then, it is still a prescription refill "in progress". I found the pharmacy staff off-putting, bordering on rude; certainly not customer friendly. Heaven forbid that they have to put up with, be inconvenienced by, something as silly as their customer's needs. This Walgreen's is the closest to me, but I will either switch to a store that's further away or leave Walgreen's altogether for a CVS or the local Community Pharmacy that's located right across the street from them. read more

The pharmacy manager Mike C is a real "TOOL". The is a system has an issue and was charging a co-pay. I maxed out of pocket and my provider stated to have Walgreens call them on a direct line. The helper talked to Mike and he said I need to come inside. I'm a disabled person so getting around is hard. This is why I use the drive through and waited my tern. The helper said I need to call the store and asked for the number. I was told to google it cause she had no idea of the number. I also called my provider and had them on the line listening ask Mike told me to move out of the way for other customers. Nobody was behind me so that was BS! He wouldn't take my phone to talk to my provider since he refused to call them. I called the same number I gave the assistant. Mike then asked where I would like prescriptions, I said my hand. He then stated he would send them to another store, I asked if his hands were broken that he couldn't fill them here and talk to my provider. I also realized he had me on speaker and violated my privacy rights and American Disabilities Act! He could see my placard on my dash for being disabled. He was such an A$$!!!!!!!! Bb read more

Watched them fill prescriptions for 10 minutes before I was acknowledged at the drive-thru. Just go to hometown pharmacy across the street.

If this type of thing hadn't happened to me at this store previously, I wouldn't write a review now. I went to get a vaccine. I stood in line behind a man. While I was waiting at least 5 minutes there were 3 people behind the counter ignoring us. I don't know how long this poor man had been waiting. After getting to the counter I told the person I had an appointment for a vaccine. She asked me if I had my phone. She told me to take a picture of the QR code on the counter. I opened my camera, and something else popped up. She told me to press that pop up. I did and nothing happened, so she grabbed my phone and also had trouble. She finally got it to the place where I could put in my information. While I was doing that at the counter another person came up, got waited on immediately and didn't have her phone with her. So the same person who waited on me checked her in. We sat down. Every person who came to the counter after me was waited on immediately. The person who came after me who didn't have her phone with her got called in for her vaccine before me. This is very frustrating and, unfortunately, this is the kind of thing that happens at this store. read more

Deforest Walgreens is the worst pharmacy I have ever gone to. I called and nobody answered the phone was on hold for half hour. So drove to store while still on hold walked in, and went to pharmacy and there wasn't even one customer there. Workers were doing nothing. So asked why they couldn't answer the phone and the guy behind counter said there's only 3 of us here. So what is your point. They're all rude and lazy. read more

Amazing my favorite Walgreens since is is right next to my other errands they are always well stocked and the staff is very patient

There is better service Walgreens than this location. The staff gave out wrong information that wasted my time to just hoping to get a flu shot. Went twice, zero shot. Waited more than 10 minutes in front of the pharmacy tech, just to ask a question. Both experiences are bad enough that I am willing to drive further Walgreens or just change the pharmacy to Walmart. Both start with "Wal" but Walmart has better service. Let me know how to reach out the supervisor for this Walgreens, I sure want to talk to him/her. This is your average Walgreens. It's clean, staff is friendly and helpful, the Walgreens Pharmacy is alright. Not the friendliest bunch but I guess they are there to work and not make friends. Oh well! Anyway, they had almost everything we needed but we had to stop at Pick N Save for other things anyway. Walgreens can be pretty expensive but you'll have to hunt for the steals. But their laundry detergent and dish soap is super expensive. The toothpaste is also expensive. If you are able to go and get toiletries elsewhere for a good deal, I would stick to doing that. Unless you're a serious couponer and follow their ads religiously. But if you're stopping to pick up a few items because it's convenient. Just be prepared to pay more than you normally would. Their candy aisle is pretty impressive, they have a good holiday section as well, they don't blow up any balloons for you but have some Mylar balloons ready to purchase. Not a very good wine selection either but they do have beer here. They have some good deals on makeup as well. read more

I called today 3/4/21 at 1:25 to attempt to make an appt for covid vaccine. I had tried the automated call appt system and after I had given all my information and sat on hold for about 5 minutes it hung up/cut me off. So, I called the walgreens and then waited on hold again for pharmacy staff for about 10 minutes, finally I got a woman and she was very rude and stated that the staff are overwhelmed with calls trying to make appointments and the appointments were already scheduled out for 3 days and so I could not make one. I said to her that I'm surprised that they didn't anticipate a lot of calls for this and put on some extra staff...she then rudely said well, do you want a job?? We can't hire and train people that fast! I then said back to her "how hard is it to answer a phone and schedule an appointment"...she then said to me that I should go somewhere else for the vaccine...I mean, really? This is how you treat your customers?? First of all, they should have anticipated this and had extra staff on which I am sure they could have done. Secondly, they should never be rude to their customers and it doesn't matter if your overwhelmed or not, you still keep your head and speak kindly to your customers. I''m 67 years old and believe me if I was able to use a different pharmacy I would, unfortunately this one is the closest and easiest for me to get to...however I will look into changing pharmacies for myself and my husband and will certainly encourage other friends and family to do the same. read more

So last Thursday I had surgery. Was in pain and not supposed to walk or drive. On Saturday night at around 8 my LOCAL long-time pharmacy, which I LOVE, was closed so I called the nearby chain pharmacy (pretty sure you know which one but I have been threatened with "corporate lawyers" so let's just call them "W"). I asked the pharmacist who answered the phone if she could grab me an over the counter medication and put it up at the front desk for my neighbor to pick up for me. She was extremely snotty and rude and also told me they were too "busy" to do that and proceeded to hang up on me. I was so upset I got up out of bed, bandages and all, and had my neighbor drive me over to "W" where I looked her in her face (incidentally they were not "busy" there was not one customer waiting either inside or in the drive-through) and asked her why she had been so rude to me. Today I spoke with their "manager" who asked me what I wanted to see happen. I said an apology would be nice. She said that I made the girl feel "uncomfortable" and she would not be a part of making her "team-mate" uncomfortable. I am pretty sure if she was that rude to me over the phone AND in person (she smirked and rolled her eyes) that she has treated other customers the same way and made THEM feel "uncomfortable" too! I am calling on all my FB friends to please support their LOCAL pharmacies when at all possible. I know damn well this would never have happened at DeForest Hometown Pharmacy they have always been EXTREMELY nice and gone that extra mile. Customer service is not a privilege, it is a right. If you can't treat your customers well you don't deserve them. Support your local pharmacies before they disappear and we are forced to be ill-treated by corporate giants! read more
