This is for the pharmacy department. I scheduled an appointment for the shingles vaccine a few days ahead. I get there and this girl says I can't get it because I'm not 50 yet. I asked why. She said because it's State law! It is NOT a state law! She lied straight to my face! Now, I know it's recommended for people 50 and over by the CDC. But I had spoken to my doctor previously and she had told me it was okay to do it early. So if it's just their pharmacy policy then say so! Don't lie about it. Why wouldn't they contact me and tell me this ahead of time!? Instead they wait until I get there to tell me. Just a huge waste of time! She needs to find a different job. Not in customer service or treating patients. I didn't even get an apology, nothing. So don't expect any good communication from them. And definitely don't expect them to tell you the truth about anything either! read more

This review is specific to the pharmacy. The pharmacist and one of the female assistants are incredibly rude, complete with eye rolls. My husband had a pharmacist challenge his request for a measles vaccination RECOMMENDED BY HIS DR. Today, I was denied a vaccine because they couldn't figure out my insurance card. When I said I had just received another vaccination in a nearby Walgreens without a problem, she shrugged, saying "I guess something changed." She is at best, not good at her job and at worst, an anti-vaxxer. This doesn't seem like a great fit for a pharmacist. I will go elsewhere for my pharmacy needs. read more

Slowest store in the world! Employees are slow, zero workers, terrible customer service. Save yourself and find products elsewhere

Walgreens in Waunakee is the worst store in the world. The attitude of the staff including the pharmacists and technicians totally ignored the customer needs or wants. Most of the time the staff is snippy and very pushy about what and why are you here. All most every prescription is over priced and if you have a question about an OTC product they haven't even a clue. You better bring the popcorn because the wait to pick up much need prescriptions can be over an hour long even when you have call in to have your prescriptions ready to be picked up. Sometimes the staff can not even find your prescriptions that are supposed to be ready because they stacked up all over the place. I Stay away if all possible. read more

They never have prescriptions ready. I've called ahead and asked them to have them ready to be reassured they will be. Then you show up and they aren't ready. Sit another 45 minutes after they ask for 15 to get it ready. read more

The store of last resort... That pretty much sums up my feelings regarding the Walgreens in the Only Waunakee in the World. It's similar to that situation where you are famished and there is one beat-up roller dog at the convenience store. You hate yourself for doing it, but sometimes you just have to hold your nose and dive in. Service is really hit or miss. Sometimes the staff is really helpful, but since I tend to come here late at night after the local grocery store is closed, I tend to get stuck dealing with the dregs of the employee base. Need help finding an item, the best they can offer is a blank stare. You in a hurry to check out, there may or may not be someone tending the checkout line. (This is especially true for the photo counter). Another pet peeve is the balance rewards card they just rolled out. I really would prefer not to have Walgreens tracking my purchases in order to obtain their sale price. Just give me the sales price and we can call it even. Waits at the pharmacy counter generally run five to ten minutes, longer in the evening. With the new Target in nearby Sun Prairie, hopefully the visits to this Walgreen's can go the way of the eight tack tape (OK, I'm dating myself with that comment.) read more

Horrible service! The Waunakee WI store made me switch because of rude employees including pharmacists!

I will go here purely because I don't want to drive further to buy medicine we ran out of and I assumed the pharmacy would be as capable as my previous location. I was very wrong there. The technicians thought nothing of speaking what medication you have ordered (while waiting 10 minutes I heard others pick up their birth control, Zoloft, antibiotic and steroid. There's absolutely no respect given to the customers. I was happy to switch to mail order and not step in there. Service in the store is hit or miss as another reviewer said. I can have some very kind staff. I can also be moving around an employee to grab my item without them bothering to move. Prices are fine. I compare them to Target and it comes close. But, again, this store is a "I have to get this now" stop rather than preference. read more

I really do not like Walgreens for several reasons..Prices are high,and then there is that Balance Rewards card they demand you use [and you MUST use to get sales prices]. Enuf said. Today lowered the bar even further.I had a $3 register reward "coupon " to use.. Grabbed items totaling $2.49.."Oh you MUST spend $3,do you expect change? " My reply "I don't care about change or balance". Well you MUST spend $3..Grabbed another item and finally checked out.. Finai straw,you MUST take the receipt..I said throw it out and walked out,never to walk in again. read more

The Walgreens in Waunakee has always been very pleasant to me and able to fill whatever prescriptions I have. I had questions about a diabetes meter and they came from behind the counter to help me pick one out. Everyone has always been very courteous. read more

Sooooooo slooooooow. The cashier even said something to the effect that she just doesn't understand why everybody is in a hurry. (Clearly she's in the wrong business. And maybe we're all in a hurry because we've been standing in line for 10 minutes, having to watch you read every box - yes, even the embarrassing ones (think athletes foot and condoms) - then when you're done reading them, you turn each around a few more times to find the UPC, and then everybody has to push a dozen buttons or so to check out!) Enter your phone number, decide whether you want to spend reward points, click a button or two for that, decide whether you want to donate to something or another, click a button for that, swipe your credit card, what? you weren't ready? now start over and re-enter stuff what? all over again? ... Ugh. There is nothing convenient anymore about the store. read more
