The cashiers threw my change at me and when I asked if I could get some help with the coffee machine they told me to just leave it alone and get coffee elsewhere. I seriously don't understand what I did wrong for them to treat me so poorly. don't even get me started on the bathrooms.. they were disgusting as if a tornado came in and hit the place. The produce they have might be limited but it's always top-notch! Liquor aisle is very good as are the baked goods they carry. We love Charlie's and will always tank up our car and boat there as well. Supporting local small business is the way to go!

It all started when the three year old child of my friends asked me about the "Chuck Store" Moi: "What is a 'Truck Store'?" Kid: "CHUCK, it is the bestest store ever in the whole world with candy!" Moi: "Do they have a toothbrush? He forgot to pack a toothbrush..." Kid: "Duh. They have EVERYTHING, and candy too." Indeed. Naturally, I had to see this marvel. And the kid tells no lies- this is part gas station, part old-timey general store, part hardware store, gardening center, liquor store, candy emporium and drugstore- that is a whole lotta hats, but the lady working the counter was clearly a pro able to direct me to candy and toothbrushes with ease. For the kid, a combo of monster truck toy car and lolly pop that took two days of effort to eat ($1.29, pictured with all it's awesome glory). That car is miraculously still intact. Have you played with a three year old? I'm surprised I am intact, kid is relentless and makes my hyperactive energy look tame. Awesome. For me to keep up, a Starbucks double shot chugged at light-speed and the priceless shot of Lady Monkeybutt- which I cannot believe is a real product and had me laughing hysterically as much as the three year old. Maybe more. I didn't know places like this existed anymore, but am glad they do.

It's...Kwik Trip…read more They have gas. They have beer. They have mildly overpriced food (a trade-off for the convenient parking). If you're here for fine dining, please seek help. You are clearly unwell and deserving of medications. You go in, you get whatever they got that looks appealing, you throw it on the counter. The cashier scans it. You pay for it. You leave. Hopefully with a minimum of fuss, line waiting, and conversation. We all know the drill by now. It is what it is. If you're giving it less than five stars for being anything other that what it is, that's a you-problem, because this is just what Kwik Trip does. Doesn't matter which one you go to. They're all the same. --However, when you find one of their frosted Persian doughnuts, and some kind soul has over-frosted that beast--there may not be anything finer on this planet. I am trying to avoid sugar as best I can, but if I see one of those Persians, and it's HEAPED with frosting, I will always, ALWAYS buy it. Those are my true Kwik Trip weakness. Everything else I can usually ignore, but those over-frosted Persians break me every time.

The car wash is also pretty backed up during lunch hours and later at night. The connivence store inside is always fully stocked and their hot items are cheap and pretty good. There's a krispy kreme self-serve station is always stoked in the morning but later at night it is kind of hit or miss on what kinds they have. They always have deals toward the end of the night of packs of donuts that are close to expiring!

I was on my way from Sun Prairie to Watertown, running a little late (my usual state, which I'm not proud of) and in need of some caffeine. I stopped at Kwik Trip to grab coffee and top up my gas tank. It's pretty big side, and very clean (I was only in the coffee/hot food to go area). They had a few breakfast sandwiches left at 11am but mostly lunch stuff (chicken sandwiches, breadsticks, pork sandwiches). There was a new apple 'pie', too, which I grabbed (I am a giant sucker for apples and anything with sugar, so ...) . The coffee was as good as ever, but the apple thing was just a flour tortilla with some apple pie filling and spices, folded up and heated. Not very exciting, but not bad either. It was only $1, so I'm not heart-broken over it. Oh, and there is a big condiment bar, which I haven't seen at other Kwik Trips (and you've known I've seen a few).
