The pizza was delicious but I feel that their crust is what sets them above and apart from the general Ohio Valley pizzas. It was crispy/crunchy but light and not doughy or tough. We were greeted at Vocelli by the rich smell of garlic and the sounds of a bustling kitchen. Slowly, we approached the counter, taking our time to ponder the extensive menu. finally, we selected a pineapple and onion pizza and a veggie Stromboli. As we waited with anticipation for our food, a microcosm of the city of wheeling bustled around us. parents getting takeout, a wrestling coach and his team dining in after practice. Finally, the main event. The pizza: hot, melty cheese, crispy yet light and soft crust. The Stromboli: packed with flavor, bursting at the seams, perfection. The cookies: exactly like an after school snack in 1995. We may have walked into this small local pizza joint as out of towners but we left as locals.

DeFelice's version does not disappoint. Good crust (a little different than Detroit traditional, but it is a good twist). Lots of cheese. High quality pepperoni. Sauce on top per the style. Came here for the buffet on this particular occasion, though I have gotten take-out from them in the past and it has been spectacular. The buffet isn't always restocked as quickly as you might like, though that is bound to happen in smaller establishments. There isn't a ton of charm to the interior though it seems like a good throwback to the pizza place forerunners of the 60's and 70's, which has its own version of ambiance. Cleanliness is middling, as is the service. They definitely provide good quality for the price, and value is the name of the game when it comes to pizza. I recommend the pepperoni rolls and the cookie pizza, those are well-worth the stomach space. I plan on coming back here during my future trips to Wheeling, and you should definitely consider giving it a shot as well. Overall: 4.0 stars --- Pros: - Excellent pizza and delicious desserts. - Value is great for the money, especially the buffet. - 60's/70's pizza aesthetic appeals to me, and hopefully it will for you as well. - Good amount of parking, especially since this shopping center is rarely busy. Cons: - Service is mediocre, nothing much to recommend there. - Cleanliness is occasionally an issue, which is the job of the service staff, so this is probably just an extension of their service issues. - Never done delivery from here, so I can't comment on that. I would check out some of the other reviews here if you're looking for insight about that.
