You may ask, what is pizza? Pizza, I have found, in my 36 years on this earth is just as much about the experience as it is about the taste. And oh, the experience. We were greeted at Vocelli by the rich smell of garlic and the sounds of a bustling kitchen. Slowly, we approached the counter, taking our time to ponder the extensive menu. finally, we selected a pineapple and onion pizza and a veggie Stromboli. As we waited with anticipation for our food, a microcosm of the city of wheeling bustled around us. parents getting takeout, a wrestling coach and his team dining in after practice. Finally, the main event. The pizza: hot, melty cheese, crispy yet light and soft crust. The Stromboli: packed with flavor, bursting at the seams, perfection. The cookies: exactly like an after school snack in 1995. We may have walked into this small local pizza joint as out of towners but we left as locals. read more

I personally love Vocelli's food. Everything from their subs to their pizza and beyond. Never disappointed in the quality and most of the staff is very friendly. HOWEVER, you would be best to go pick it up because delivery is always no less than 1.5 hrs. Not the fault of staff probably I think the owners need to hire more drivers. Other than that, fantastic! read more

The staff goes above and beyond they are excellent, Isaac has great customer service and is always so kind and friendly the pizza and vocelli rolls are amazing we always stop in when we come to wheeling to visit family I would recommend them to everyone it's a great experience and the best pizza in town keep up the great work read more

The staff at the Wheeling location are beyond amazing! My mother in law lives in a retirement complex and when the guys saw I was ordering pizza for her and the ladies to enjoy on game night they offered to take care of the ladies every month. They look forward to pizza and bunko every month and I can't get over how generous the staff at Vocelli's are to go out of their way for ladies they don't know. Cant recommend them enough! read more

Vocelli pizza has delicious, fresh food. While checking out the town on electric scooters, we asked a local for a recommendation. She said Vocelli's was great, so we hit it up around 10pm. We were not disappointed! A small pepperoni pizza, boneless buffalo wings, a Stromboli with 4 toppings, and 2 drinks was about $30. The service was outstanding and friendly. They hand toss each pizza and make everything fresh. Isaac was amazing! While we did not try the pepperoni rolls that Joey had recommended, we were very satisfied with the quality and pricing of our selections. I highly recommend stopping by Vocelli Pizza! Oh yeah, relaxed ambiance. read more

The pizza is fresh and I recommend the veggie pizza with tomatoes mushrooms and big mozzarella slices!! Amazing. I've ordered delivery sometimes at their super busy nights so you may wanna pickup during late hours. read more

We at SCWA & CSE have nothing but the greatest respect for the Owner and crew at Vocelli in Wheeling. They go out of their way to make sure that the ring crew is taken care of on set up night with warm delicious pizza. We couldnt ask for better delivery drivers who delivery the pizza in a very safe and timely manner. The amount of food provider for the ring crew is top notch across the board. On show night they provide once again great service and food to our shows for the crew and wrestlers performing that night. They make that staff and crew feel special and appreciated by the wonderful service they provide with the delicious food. We at SCWA last night want to say thank you for making us feel special and out bellies full. The commissioner at SCWA wants to thank the owner, staff and delivery people for providing a wonderful experience for us both nights. We can't say thank you enough. The atmosphere brought us together as we prepared for the show. Keep up the great work and wonderful service. read more

wow this is one of the best pizza that i have ever eating in my life, the garlic spinach pizza was so delicious and fresh and the steak stromboli is the best that me and my family have ever eaten , thank you so much , the bad reviews are because of the order online problems and not the pizza itself.Every time i come to wheeling i visited here , I'm so sad that there is not pizza vocalli in Florida read more

Definitely one of my favorite pizza joints in Wheeling. It's a go-to. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, pizza always comes fast, hot and exactly as ordered. And since I'm not a native Wheelingite...listen, I'm all for square pizza, cold cheese...but sometimes I just need my good ol fashions hot triangle pizza read more

Vocelli Pizza - a half eaten pizza in a box - Pizza Near Me - Wheeling, West Virginia

Decent food, and lots of it, for cheap, from nice people. Husband and I stopped on Labor Day on our way through town. He ordered a 10" meatball pizza, ate half, and brought the other half home. I got a Tuscany salad, which comes with chicken, olives, two kinds of cheese, green pepper rings, and tomato. Together we ate half, and I brought the rest home. The pieces of lettuce a little large to eat, but that's really out only complaint. Total: $16 (we drank water in our car). They deliver, too. Check them out! read more

I came to town for a business trip. I checked into the hotel and decided to order pizza. I placed the order online. I got email immediately saying the order was received. Once I received the email saying the order was out for delivery, it was 27 minutes before it showed up at the door. The food was cold when it arrived. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager. He was not helpful. read more

Vocelli Pizza - Progression of emails received from order to delivery. - Pizza Near Me - Wheeling, West Virginia

I ordered a large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni, garlic Vocelli rolls, 6 cookies, and a 2 liter of Pepsi. Not only did they fulfill my order with care, Vocelli's delivery service was timely and wore a mask! My family and I have been going here since we moved to the area, and I'm so thankful that this is "our pizza place". read more

I choose this place over any sub shop! I absolutely love the cheesesteak sandwich! Lots of meat! N because I order here often, they let me know when I get a discount! No messing with apps or emails! Absolutely love this place! N the staff is always nice n in a good mood! read more

Excellent pizza. Friendly delivery guys. Gets here in good time. Our favorite pizza spot in wheeling. Highly recommend

Late night on a Sunday night out of towner for a golf outing and this was open so we tried it. It was a very pleasant surprise as it was good!! Would definitely recommend !!! Very reasonably priced and good taste !! read more

Ordered a pizza and mushroom spinach rolls. I placed my online orderer at 2:04 pm. At 3:34 I called the restaurant, the lady that answered was very short. She told me they were very busy and it was out for delivery. No apology for the wait and she hung up on me. At 4:03 the delivery driver arrived. She was amazing! Apologetic for my wait and very nice. I took my pizza into the kitchen and immediately went to dishing out plates. One problem it was cold! I immediately called and told them to just come back and get it. That after waiting two hours I was given cold pizza. I was met with "oh it can't be that bad it was under lamps". Ok first off if I wanted hours old pizza under lamps I'd go to a gas station. Secondly if it was under lamps they can't be that hot. She then began saying over and over that I'm outside their deliver radius so not their fault. The service here is sickening! read more

Hot and tasty. We ordered pepperoni and extra cheese. The crust was just perfect. We're from out of town and we're impressed with the quality! read more

I used to order weekly for coworkers and myself. 4/5 times I have to call and ask them to bring parts of our order that they forgot. It's usually the extra items-dipping sauce/dressing, but has also included drinks that come with the lunch special. I wouldn't care if we didn't have to pay for it. Then we wait another 30 minutes for it to be delivered. I can't believe there is not quality control in place to verify orders before they leave the store. Also, please write the type of hoagie on the bag! I don't like unwrapping other people's sandwiches to make sure they are given to the right person. It's seriously the little things that make a business great, and you guys fail repeatedly. read more

Not bad...not that great...especially for the price. I was disappointed but it is something different. I had a medium pepperoni...I would eat here again but nothing to be excited about read more

I called and placed an order completely, given a total and 30min wait time.. an hour and half later I called to check and was told it was canceled and sorry they didn't call .... nothing else hung up on ... unacceptable and disappointed. read more

I ordered at 8:54 PM. Didn't think it would be a busy time. Took 2 hours to receive my order. Tried to take into consideration that there is probably one driver. I live a little over a mile away from the store though and My food arrived cold. You're better off just ordering and picking up your food. I might give them another try but it won't be delivery. read more

They sold me the biggest calzone of my life and I ate it like it was my last meal. Much good. Come back yes.

Where do I start, this is the 3rd time i have ordered fr ok m them an my order was wrong ,missing something an over charged. An dont get me started on their rudeness. I call an get hung up on, told they will fix it an wait an they never show up. read more

I love Vocelli's Pizza but this location is horrible when ordering online. They take forever and the delivery drivers are rude.

Great pizza. Easy access when downtown Wheeling on the south side of the river. Recommended by friends. Nice staff. Feels like a family operated business. A bit "older" on the interior but still great pizza. read more

Average pizza at best. Reminiscent of papa John's crust only stretched a little thinner so it crisps better. Uninspired sweet red sauce. Do not get ground beef whatever you do it is nasty. I don't know what it is with area of the country but I can't seem to find a decent pie here. read more

The subs are very delicious! Delivery was quick. The pizza had a great flavor but was not crispy. (We ordered thin/crispy)

I had their Mediterranean salad: I gotta say it was good! Also had their marinara pasta no meat balls (don't like them in general) pasta was good too. Not the best. For a fast food place I give them 3.5 stars. Employees were friendly and helpful. read more

Vocelli Pizza has moved near the center market. I called in an order for pizza and Vocelli Rolls. The gal on the phone who took my order was very friendly and answered promptly... one thing that ranks high with me as I hate to call any business and the phone ring multiple times. She told me the order would be ready in 25-30 mins. We arrived a tad early but my wait was just a few mins. The food smelled awesome driving home! The pizza was really good. We got traditional crust, which was ok. But the sauce was great and I loved how the pepperoni was crisp. The Vocelli Rolls were fantastic. We got pepperoni. Their sauce is really good. Not spicy like most places anymore. This was our first time to order this pizza but we will be back!! Don't hesitate to get this pizza. It is A+!!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was we like a thicker crust. But that won't stops us from having this again! read more

Will not order from here again. I work just a few blocks from this location and ordered a calzone. An hour later, I called to see if there was an issue and the lady said "it's on the way right now." 30 minutes later, I called to cancel. Same lady answered and put me on hold. A guy answered and asked my address, he said "I was just getting ready to walk out the door with it, we have been very busy." Listen, I understand things happen...maybe they forgot, were busy, whatever, just don't lie to me and say it's on the way when it isn't! read more

Excellent food all around...pizza to subs to salads! Haven't had anything bad at all since they switch locations to 2149 market street... Service is always friendly! If by chance they do make a mistake (because people are not perfect) they always accommodate. read more

In the past I had ordered from there with mixed results however, the past two experiences we're both horrible. I live in an area that is notorious for poor tipping and I am well aware of that as I am sure to at least tip 4 or 5 bucks for even single person orders. I called in to order and the employee said to me "People don't tip much up there you wana give the driver his tip now". I think that's pretty self explanatory. Today my elderly mother is visiting who is 71 she calls to order the 2 sub special for 12.99. The "Manager" said such a special doesn't exist. I called back and politely said hey it's on your web site as a permanent fixture it seems. She very VERY Condescending and said well I need you to tell me that coupon code. When it's a posted coupon. I started to say my mother is elderly she said "Uh huh What about your mother". At that point i said never mind cancel the order and hung up before I said anything impolite. Honestly that's just bad business and customer service. Her tone alone made me feel as my food would of gotten defiled because I had "troubled" her. TERRIBLE SOFT SKILLS. read more

A local pizza shop well worth the short trip off 70! Its negatives (a lack of high chairs and the need for a bathroom upgrade) were more than made up for by the excellent pizza and very friendly staff. read more
