I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, onion, and sausage, and my wait time was really very quick. If you're not familiar with Ohio Valley style pizza- the crust, sauce, and toppings are baked first, and then the cheese is added cold when the pie is brought out of the oven. They really pile the cheese on top, which is great for me as a guy who loves mozzarella. I liked the historical all-Italian local sports team rosters hung up in the shops carryout waiting area- a big nod to the rich Italian heritage of the area.

I called to place a delivery order. A younger sounding woman answered (with zero greeting). After I…read moresaid I wanted delivery the was a moment of silence and she then asked where it was going in a way that sounded like she was super annoyed. After getting my address she asked what I wanted, and I asked for 6 slices, to which she said "Oh" which leads me to believe ordering a smaller number is an unspoken problem. She then said okay and hung up without telling me a price or time for arrival. So I'm currently waiting to see if it even arrives. I'm writing this before the food arrives as I'm not expecting it to blow my socks off with the quality anyway, but the lack of basic phone etiquette would prevent a higher review regardless of how the pizza tastes. UPDATE: I waited an hour after ordering to call them back and ask what the problem was. They didn't answer the first time then hung up immediately when I called again. Stick to DiCarlos; better pizza and better employees.

We thought the crust was perfectly crisp, there were plenty of toppings, and the extra cheese we ordered wasn't necessary, but always adds a little touch to the experience.
