I found that they had been here for over 60 days, so the price was now 25% discounted. Yay for me! As I checked out, I was told that pillows were on consignment from a woman who got them for a new couch but found they didn't do what she had hoped for. So she sold them unused. I believe it, as they were in perfect condition with no smell to them. The pricing here is appropriate, and unlike other consignment shops, the items do not smell old and used. The variety is good, but you have to keep checking in to make sure you don't miss a good item. Things come and go quickly. The rooms are not stuffed full which is nice.

I'm not the type of person to often ask for help from retail employees. I take pride in being…read moreself-reliant, unlike a lot of members of older generations. However, the few times I have been forced to ask for help with something while shopping at this Meijer, I've invariably been met with palpable disdain from managers and employees at having to be bothered by a customer. It's really quite alarming how consistent it's been, despite the fact that I am a polite person who remembers to preface with "please" and end with "thank you". On top of that, if you see something on sale, you MUST take a picture of the shelf label, because it will almost never scan at that price. $2 item that says buy one get one free? Nope, they're going to scan at $4.99 each. They also go for weeks without restocking basic items. Aside from these issues, it would be a great store, but it suffers due to the employees' resentment. If it's because they're not paid enough, I sympathize, as everyone in retail deserves more than what they're paid, but at the same time, you know the amount when you take the job.

I don't mind paying reasonable prices for electronics and speaker but what's going on here is just greed and borderline scam. I was offered that I could return the speakers if they didn't work which is unusual. But I also paid pretty much double what the speaker is worth. Smh. For items they pay nothing for they can and should do better. Sad I used to like this goodwill. Msy have to rethink my patronage in the future.

I went here yesterday and let me say the staff really made me uncomfortable. As soon as I got in…read morethe store there were just a bunch of staff around me, the first few isles I went to, the same few people would be in the next isles very obviously just pretending to work. As I continued shopping there would be employees that would come over and put things on the racks and just reach over me/my cart without even a simple "excuse me". There was even a young man (he was an employee as well) that just walked in my face to get a hanger I guess, but didn't say excuse me or sorry after completely violating my personal space. After this I looked around a bit more then went to check out shortly after, and the same young man comes from the back and tells the other person at the register to leave, he then checks me out and instead of folding all of the clothes I had he just threw them all on the counter leaving me to fold them, and when I folded the clothes to put in my bag he threw them back in the unorganized pile he created. I had a good amount of clothes I won't lie but you're working in retail there are some things that you know you're supposed to do like fold the goods the customer is buying especially because Goodwill does not provide bags. Honestly, I love this specific store they typically have a good selection of items, but this experience made me very uncomfortable and I am unsure if I would EVER select this store again because of this experience.

You have multiple people overseeing self checkout that could easily just check us out much faster than we can ourselves. Self checkout is a joke. It means you do not care about customer service, because most tolerate it rather than prefer it. The absolute worst part is they removed all chairs & benches, inside and out, so if you happen to be elderly or disabled and have to wait for a taxi or other ride, you just get to stand out in the cold. The lower prices on many items make more than up for it. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have not had any problems. that (One reviewer mentioned that Costco does not always have something in stock that the person likes/wants. And yes. I get hooked on some of their stuff as well. But from what I understand, Costco only keeps stocking/buying items that they can sell at their prices, and that are bought by enough people. So what is available has always somewhat changed/rotated. I still miss the Mori-Nu tofu. Despite having three cashiers available, they informed me that an associate couldn't process my purchase unless I used my Kohl's charge card. Although, I do have a Kohl's card, I wanted to use my debit card and preferred to go through a cashier instead of self-checkout. Unfortunately, they still refused. With a funeral to attend, I didn't have time to visit another store for my son's dress pants, so I had to navigate self-checkout, needing assistance a couple of times. I was told this is Kohl's policy. On my drive home, I reflected on the lack of assistance and decided to contact the store manager to express my dissatisfaction. When I called the store, the person who answered said the manager was unavailable and that she was in charge. I asked for her name and title, but she refused to provide them, after expressing my concerns with the lack of customer service, she reiterated that this was the direction corporate wanted them to take with customers. I will only be returning to the store to return the items I didn't need. I tried to call corporate office and was unable to speak to someone about my concern. In addition the kohlsfeedback.com link doesn't work to provide direct feedback. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service of Kohls.
