This place refused to show me what they were injecting into my body and couldn't tell me what brand they use. After I repeatedly expressed concern, especially since the medication wasn't doing much at all, the guy finally walked in cupping the vial in his hand with a sticker slapped on it. I'd never seen the label or heard of the company, and it very clearly looked hand-applied. Super sketchy. I've since seen other reviews claiming their medication was expired. But I can't find those reviews now? Everything they use is compounded, and was it tirzepitide or semaglutide? I was told I got both, but semaglutide is less, and I was paying for Tirzepitide. when you ask direct questions, they play dumb or straight up lie to your face. This happened nearly EVERY TIME I WENT . The doctor who signed me up told me one price. The following week, I came in and suddenly the price was different by more than a hundred dollars. and they refused to honor what I was promised, even though I was told it would be honored if I came in by the end of the week. The doctor was standing right there and pretended she didn't know me and claimed she wasn't the one who signed me up. She absolutely was. She had no problem taking my money, though. At one point she had me second-guessing myself because she swore it wasn't her, yes she lied to my face. I think they were hoping I'd let it go. I didn't . I asked the woman at the front desk, who literally had my file open, who the doctor was that I met with. She looked at the file, and stared not saying a word. surprise: it was the same doctor who had just said she'd never seen me. That was the biggest red flag of all. I should have cut my losses and left but I stayed with them thinking I didn't have a better option. The shot before my last one was a completely different consistency and entirely different color than what I'd been given before. They have a file on me as a patient and should be guiding my care, yet I was told I needed to ask for whatever they gave me previously?!?! Wild to think these "doctors" don't read or know their own patients' files. Had I known about Lilly Direct sooner, I would've gone there first. At least you know you're getting pure medication that hasn't been cut with anything else. You get the vials, you know what's going into your body and you're not "hoping" for the best. This place is a scam. Don't waste your money. Maybe I'll grow a tail later from whatever they injected into me, who knows. Expensive lesson learned, but do your research before handing this place a dime. One of the shadiest, sketchiest operations I've ever been to in my life. Outside it says Walk-in medical clinic and if I didn't know this ahead of time I would have been a little confused. There is a parking lot right next to it which is a big plus for me because so many places in Long Beach have street parking only. The inside is clean, no issues there. The women at the front desk have always been polite to me and I've never had any issues checking in or scheduling my next appointment. There has also never been more than one or two other people at most in the front waiting area, usually there is nobody else. I'm always called back to a treatment room within 5 minutes of checking in. After I undress for the procedure my wait has never been more than 5-10 minutes, only once it had been about 10. I've had 2 different nurses and the doctor do my treatments. They have all been super nice and I don't ever feel uncomfortable at all. They are knowledgeable and can answer questions or give recommendations for other treatments but they don't do a full court press on trying to upsell you like most med spas I have been to. I love this because it makes my appointments more enjoyable. I have previously had some laser hair removal treatments done elsewhere before coming across LBC Laser MD within the past few years. In comparison, all three women who did my treatments here were way more thorough than anywhere else I have been. I always felt other places rushed and skipped spots so you would have to buy more treatments. So my appointments here may be a little longer but I appreciate it because if I'm spending the time and money already and staying out of the sun for months, I want it done right with good results. Unfortunately, that didn't eliminate the spider veins in my leg. I never knew what was going to happen at the next visit until I was in the room. I kept going back, but only three small veins in the back of my leg were treated. A varicose vein was cauterized (not sure of the medical term); other than those things, nothing was done. The woman who did the ultra sounds should work on being more personable. There was little communication on her part. The owner of the business keeps apologizing to patients who give the clinic low ratings. Instead of apologies, it might be a good idea to work on improving your treatment of patients. Turns out I was making a lot of mistakes with my diet that led to the above mentioned issues (it wasn't simply aging, but was more like premature aging) as well as inflamed joints and digestive issues. She patiently explained to me what was going on--how the foods I was eating were causing inflammation, how I needed higher quality foods, better and more fats, controlled intake of carbs, etc. Since then I've hit my target weight, and have put on more muscle (my goal was not to lose muscle, but I gained pretty easily). Her guidelines include to eat when hungry (but DON'T eat when not hungry), eat the whole animal (including bacon!), and lots of other things I found surprising. If I told her I didn't like a food (e.g. kale--it's gross) she wouldn't mention that food to me again.
