I took my car to this place after reading the reviews here, unfortunately I had a very different…read moreexperience from the other two reviewers. I've been looking for a decent and honest mechanic since I moved here about a year ago and thought I would give Bridge Auto Service a try. I brought my car in for some routine maintenance and minor work. It should have run me in the neighborhood of a couple hundred dollars, tops. I received a call with an estimate for the work that included many additional things that I did not really need to have done--some of them I absolutely knew I did not need because I was not putting as many miles on the car on a daily basis as I had been in the past and had addressed those issues previously. I approved only of the original work I had requested and another problem they found that did need fixing, and asked that the other work not be done. I expected that with the additional work that I did approve of, the cost might have increased by a couple hundred dollars or so. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I was OK with it. The work also took much longer to complete than I had expected. Boy was I wrong. When I came to pick up my car, the bill was just under $1000. I was absolutely shocked. If I sold my car today, it would not fetch the amount that I was charged for what should have been very minor work. After I paid, knowing that causing a fuss wouldn't get me anywhere, the owner proceeded to point out the used car he has for sale on the lot and asked that I tell my friends about them. That and the outrageously overpriced bill were all I needed to hear to know that unfortunately this operation is not as honest and fair as I was led to believe here. I'm giving the shop 2/5 because thus far the work that I was overcharged for seemed to have addressed the problem I needed to have fixed. This reflects 3/5 stars for the actual work on my car (docking because it took far too long considering what I was asking to have done) and 1/5 for fairness.

I had the misfortune of being sideswiped in my brand new truck while driving to work in November…read more The other driver was at fault and her insurance company sent me to V&F for an estimate. This was the first time I needed to have body work done on a vehicle. I didn't know anything about the body shops near my house and I was leery about using the one the insurance company was pushing me towards. The estimate was very thorough and detailed. I was pleasantly surprised that every little scratch and dent was documented, photographed and sent to the insurance company. Once the insurance company released payment I scheduled the repairs. V&F had my truck for 4 days (exactly how long they originally estimated). I had several small dents right in the body line of my front door and several major scratches in the paint. They fixed the dents and painted both passenger side doors as well as the fender to blend everything in. You can't tell there were ever any scratches or dents. The quality of the job done was fantastic. So the quality of work is great but how's the customer service? That was great too! John, Nicole, Victoria and Michelle were very friendly throughout the process. I received a phone call, text and/or email every single day with updates on the progress of the repairs and the estimated day and time they would be complete. Overall, this is a good business. Rest assured they will fix your vehicle correctly and treat you well.

The last time it happened was in 2015 (with a different vehicle) and so I knew EXACTLY where to go to get fixed up right Today was pickup day and once again, V&F came through with flying colors! In addition to having the damaged rear repaired (all paid for by Plymouth Rock Assurance -- the insurance company of the guy who hit me), I had the hood repainted because manufacturers just don't do high quality paint jobs on newer cars anymore! Thanks to all at V&F ... I hope I don't have to see you again anytime soon! No hard feelings!!
